THE TENSION brEAKS
Steel watched Indigo squirm in the passenger seat, her pale hands clutching the leather strap as he drove.
She was trying to push his buttons, but he wasn’t about to give her the satisfaction.
They’d been driving around in circles for hours, and she was running out of ways to test him.
He knew she was scared, and he understood why.
She’d been through hell, and he’d been trying to protect her ever since.
But this road trip, this ridiculous charade, was wearing thin. It was time to give it to her straight.
“Stop,” he said, pulling over in an abandoned parking lot. She turned to him, her eyes glinting with fire. “I’m tired of playing your games. You don't really want me, do you?”
She hesitated for a moment, her mouth twisting into a scowl. She knew how much he wanted her, and how possessive he’d become since their wedding night. But she needed to push him, to see if he was all talk. “Then prove it,” she challenged him, her voice barely above a whisper.
Steel dropped the bike to the ground and stood before her, towering over her petite form.
He took a deep breath, trying to rein in his emotions.
She was challenging him, but he couldn’t let her do that.
Not anymore. He took a step forward, cupping her face in his rough hands. “Do you really want to know?”
She nodded, her chest rising and falling with anticipation. Her lips parted, her eyes locked on his. “Then show me,” she whispered, her voice thick with desire.
And he did. He took her then and there, hard against the hood of the bike, his teeth clenched against her cries of pleasure.
It wasn’t just lust anymore. It was more than the tension they’d been building for weeks.
It was a claiming, a marking of territory, a declaration that they were in this together.
As he felt her walls crumble under him, he knew he’d crossed a line.
But it was a line he couldn’t uncross. She was his, and he was never letting her go.
Steel was relentless as he took her, his hands digging into the leather of the bike behind her to hold onto her veer.
Indigo was pushing him to the limit, her body arching into his touch, moans of pleasure trapped in her throat.
He felt like he was on fire, possessive and raw with emotion.
She was everything he'd ever wanted, and he wasn’t going to let her slip through his fingers.
He looked down at her, seeing the fear and desire mixed on her face and felt a surge of emotion he hadn't experienced in years. He was falling for her, hard and fast, and he couldn’t stop it if he tried.
It was a terrifying and exhilarating feeling all at once.
He couldn't protect her from everything, but he would do his best to keep her safe.
As they caught their breath, Indigo looked up at him, her eyes glassy with emotion. “You’re not faking it,” she said softly. He shook his head, his jaw tight. “No. Not anymore.”
Without another word, he picked her up bridal style and carried her towards his house. When they finally made it inside, he kicked the door shut behind them and tossed her on the bed. “You’re all in,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “You have no idea what you’ve done to me.”
She watched him warily as he straightened, stripping off his leather jacket and his shirt in one swift move.
His tattoos glistened in the dim light of the bedroom, marking him as MC and claiming her as his own.
Then, he climbed onto the bed, crawling over her as if he owned her, pinning her down with his powerful frame.
“You’re mine,” he gritted out, claiming her lips in a searing kiss.
She moaned into the kiss, unable to resist him as he pushed her boundaries further than she’d ever thought possible.
With a growl, he ripped her shirt off her, tossing it aside.
His hands skimmed over her naked flesh, marking her as his in ways she had never imagined.
It wasn’t just rough, desperate sex, it was a love that scared him just as much as it terrified her.
She didn't know where they were going from here, but she knew one thing for sure, they were in this together.
