Epilogue One

T hat night there was a leaving party for one of the bikers, Jock, a man who looked about seventy, but was probably younger. I’d noticed him a few times, and always wondered why he never smiled or laughed. It was Ally who told me that he was grieving for his old lady who’d died a few years back. They'd even amended his club tattoo with the word 'retired', which was apparently some biker rite of passage.

He was leaving to go and live with his daughter down by the coast, and that sounded like a much better life for him than this, because he kept himself away from everyone and everything anyway.

“Babe, I’m just gonna go talk with Reacher. Be good, yeah?” Stitch kissed me, pulling back to laugh when a few of his brothers started yelling out obscene comments.

“Whatever. Just watch your mouths around my old lady, dickheads.”

I watched him leave and turned back to Lissa.

“It makes us sound like old hags, right?”

She giggled, tossing her glossy red hair back and making a kissy face at me.

“We don’t look like them though, babe, so we’re all good. So how are things with you know who?”

I glanced around us, catching sight of Elise chatting quietly with Tori. I wasn’t sure where Has-Been was, but I was pretty sure wherever he was, his eyes were firmly on her .

“I have no idea, but they clearly both have strong feelings for each other, so I only hope they don’t get their hearts broken.”

Lissa watched Ice appear from somewhere and make a beeline for Reacher and Stitch, wiggling her fingers at him when he caught her eye. His lips twitched briefly, but he looked far too serious to smile.

“Guessing the whole serial rapist thing is keeping Ice busy right now?”

She nodded, keeping her eyes on him as he chatted urgently with both men, and they all headed back out of the bar.

“And that’s not a good sign, right? We’re all here, aren’t we? The womenfolk?”

Womenfolk? That made us sound ancient too!

“Yeah, I’ve got eyes on every old lady, babe. It’s scary though, right?”

“What’s scary? You ladies are looking foxy, by the way. Pity you’re both already inked up.” Micro leaned against the bar beside us, and nodded at Tommy.

“Get you both a drink?”

We both nodded, and Tommy got to work, while we fell silent in Micro’s presence. I had no idea why that was his name, because he was a big guy. Almost scary big, and a little predatory, especially considering we were old ladies of his brother bikers.

“We’re just girl talking, Micro. Pity about Jock, right?” Lissa was making an effort with him, but I was still pissed about him voting against me. Why would he vote against me when he didn’t know the first thing about me?

Finally, I couldn’t keep my mouth shut anymore. That’s the benefit and the curse when it comes to alcohol.

“So, why, Micro? You don’t like me or what?” He shared a confused look with Lissa as he passed our drinks to us.

“Why don’t I like you? I just hit on you, didn’t I?” I took the drink and then wondered why the hell I was trusting a guy who didn’t even like me to get me a drink. I set it on the bar, and turned back to glare at him.

“You voted against me, why?” He rolled his eyes, grabbing his own drink, which looked like something hard like whiskey or scotch.

“Seriously? It’s a fucking party, you can’t just enjoy that?”

“Not when you didn’t want me with your VP, no. You must have a problem with me, so let’s get it out in the open, right?”

Lissa rested her hand on my arm.

“It’ s okay, babe. Why don’t we go and get some air.”

“I’m not fucking drunk, but I am pissed. At him. Specifically at him, because why would you even do that?”

Micro cursed, and pushed away from the bar.

“Fucking typical of women. You know what? This is a party, and I’m here to have fun, so if you just want to bitch at someone, find someone else. Honestly, I don’t like or hate you, I don’t even consider you either way. One more bitch to cause trouble, and I’m not interested in it.” He leaned closer and whispered in my ear. “You’re not even worth my time.”

I was shaking as he walked away, yelling out something to another biker, and dragging him into an armlock while they joked around. What the hell did he mean by that?

“What did he say?” Lissa looked worried, and tugged on my arm to draw my attention back.

“Oh, just more of the same crap.” For some reason I didn’t want to tell her, because surely I misunderstood him, right? Surely he was just sounding off because for some reason he didn’t want women around here, getting in the way of his fun with his brothers.

Stitch returned then, and dragged me away from the bar, into his arms.

“Missed you, wifey.”

“You were gone about ten minutes, hubster.”

“I’m pretty sure I vetoed that name, babe.”

Stitch

I had planned to tell her about what Ice had found, but she seemed edgy when I came back to the bar, and I had no idea what or who had upset her, so I figured I’d focus on cheering her up. Maybe getting her off.

We could talk about advances in the serial killer case tomorrow. For tonight, it was time to honour Jock, and although all the speeches and stuff were over, we still planned to party until we passed out. Jock was heading out in the morning, and had even privately apologised to me and Reacher for voting against our old ladies.

It was just as we’d thought. He was struggling with the loss of his own old lady, and felt like he couldn’t put his vote in favour of anyone else going through what he went through. I guess it made some sense, but it still hurt, and Micro? That asshole was gonna have to explain himself soon enough.

“I think I’m a bit tipsy, Stitch.”

I grinned, and walked my lovely wife, and old lady, across the bar, stopping to say hi to a few brothers along the way. The dark corner, with the alcove I’d mentioned before, was right within reach, and I guided her back into the space before she even realised where she was.

“What are you… oh bloody hell, Stitch… I told you this isn’t happening.” Obviously I’d never do something she said no to, but I wasn’t above a little coaxing to try and change her mind.

“Just a little kissing, babe. Maybe a little heavy petting… you wearing underwear?” I wanted her to be open to my touch, and my cock, but at the same time, I really hoped she wasn’t bare under that skirt around my fucking brothers.

“Of course I bloody am! And no, we’re not… oh god… that feels so good…” Yeah, she liked me sliding my fingers inside those skimpy pants alright. She really liked how it felt as my fingers eased inside her sweet, wet pussy. Why was she this wet already? I’d been gone ten minutes, like she said.

“Wife… I’m gonna ask you a question, and I want an honest fucking answer.” My fingers stayed inside her, but my other hand wrapped loosely around her throat as I glared into her eyes.

“Hurry up then, because you keep wiggling your fingers like that, and I’m gonna be incoherent pretty soon, hubster.”

My lips twitched, but I fought the urge to give in to it. I had to know.

“Why are you so fucking wet, Camille? As you so sassily pointed out, I’ve been away from you for ten fucking minutes… do I need to kill someone in this room?”

She hesitated, and that made me want to yell. She fucking hesitated, like she was actually considering it, but then that familiar sassy grin appeared on her face.

“It’s all you, Stitch. It’s always all you, you dumb caveman moron.” Oh she’d pay for that alright.

I freed my dick, and shoved her underwear aside, to ram inside her, crushing her against the wall in that little alcove.

“Dumb… caveman… moron… huh?” Every word was punctuated by a sharp thrust, a rough surge of my cock into my wife, my old lady.

She quickly forgot about her concerns, dragging me against her as she met every damn thrust of my hips.

“You reckon anyone can see what we’re doing, wifey?” She froze, suddenly realising what I’d wickedly reminded her of.

“Oh god…”

I locked my hand around her throat again, and pounded away inside her, making sure she came hard, and couldn’t keep quiet. I followed her into that oblivion a few thrusts later, and sagged against her, trapping her in the alcove, as I waited for my legs to stop shaking.

“I said no, Stitch.”

“Then you said yes.” Her giggles were her only response. Yeah, somehow in the midst of the worst possible time of my life, I’d found the perfect match for me, and even more amazing and unbelievable? She didn’t realise just how out of my league she was. Either way she was mine now. Forever .
