Twenty-six

The way Cap looked at her as he knelt before her, made Mia feel like a queen. The way his hands slid around her waist to the lace edge of her panties had her shivering. His fingers softly ran back and forth along the top edge of the material, and her body broke out in goosebumps.

It only got better as his warm soft lips traced over her skin, as he lowered the lacy material down her legs. Then he ran his hands up her shaking thighs, and her body was so hot and wet in readiness for him that she started to pant in short sharp breaths.

Never had she been naked under the starry sky with a man on his knees for her, attending to her, caring for her with his fingers and tongue to caress free her inner secrets and desires. He had her burning so brightly she could barely stand as her body trembled. It wasn’t just stars she saw in the sky but exploding stars behind closed eyelids as her body unleashed a new heaven.

Standing, he ran his hand tenderly down the side of her face and neck, as he stood before her with his eyes blazing with hunger that looked her over inch by inch, then as a whole.

‘Why are you still dressed?’

His grin was lopsided, but sweet sassy malassy, it was the sexiest smile she’d ever seen from this man.

She helped Cap rip off his shirt, push his jeans down, and then he was gloriously bare before her. Dayum he was thick, strong, and a perfect example of masculine beauty.

‘I don’t have any condoms.’

‘It’s okay, you’re safe. We’re safe. I made my ex wear them.’ Which might have been on a subconscious level for some reason. ‘But with you, we’re safe.’ And she felt safe with Cap.

Plus, it was too late to explain everything now. Not while she was in a place with no walls, butt naked to the world, standing high in the sky. Somehow, this man had drugged her with his midnight kisses that came with lots of stolen soft touches, and she needed more.

Stepping towards her, he gently tugged on her hair, pulling her head back, forcing her to look up at him. Her lips parted, eager to kiss him again.

She swallowed without any nerves, but quivered with anticipation as his free hand trailed a finger down her neck, over her racing pulse, opening his palm to cup her aching breasts.

The moan he unleashed inside her was so foreign, she nearly buckled to her knees.

His arm snaked around her back for support, allowing her to arch back, as his hot, hungry mouth worked from one breast to the other. All she could do was hold on to his strong shoulders, as his hard length pressed against her lower body.

When he suddenly lifted her to gently lower her to their bedding, the weightlessness surprised her.

Then he was above her, where once again the stars surrounded him like the fallen angel he was, and she willingly opened herself for him.

One of his hands pressed on the linen beside her head, as his other hand clamped onto her leg. His wide finger span covered her thigh, while wearing a look of pure admiration in his eyes.

Clearly, Cap liked what he felt, sliding a hungry hand over her round stomach and breast, as he positioned himself between her legs.

He leaned down.

She reached up.

And they paused.

They both sucked in air, then held their breaths as his tip brushed into her.

She forgot to breathe. Forgot how to speak. How to think. Not when her entire world fell into this one perfect moment as he moved so slowly, one glorious inch at a time.

From the back of his throat, he made a noise of triumph. An earthy, grunt. Dayum , it had to be the sexiest sound as he pushed all the way into her.

He grabbed the side of her face, pulling her into him, his breath heavy as his lips crashed down onto hers in an all-consuming kiss that wasn’t gentle, but it was a kiss that told her how much he wanted her.

A moan escaped her as they moved, slowly at first, her hips lifted to meet his deep rhythmic thrusts as his muscles rippled while he hovered over her, making her entire body vibrate with the weight of him.

He claimed her and he owned her with a fierce intensity that was so gentle it took little for her body to combust into millions of bright lights, as she came apart and clamped down on him.

He growled in her ear.

‘Fates…’ His face dropped into the crook of her neck, his grip tightened around her body as his muscles contracted into steel and he unleashed a warmth that flowed through her, soothing every jagged edge of life’s hardships into something amazing.

As the night air nipped refreshingly against their slick skin, his forehead pressed to hers. Still in a tangle of limbs, his body limp on hers, they stared long and silently at each other, communicating to each other in a way that didn’t need words.

The moon rose over the escarpment to bathe them with beams of soft creamy moonlight, and he shared a soft smile as his fingertips stroked her face. ‘My beautiful Mia.’

And she’d never felt more beautiful.
