Xander #2

“Are you…” I began and stopped as I realized Colin was still stroking my cock. I stared at him in shock, dropping my voice. “Are you fucking kidding me?”

“Get rid of her,” he said in a low voice, eyes wide. “I don’t know what to do here!”

“Like I do?” I demanded.

“What?” she called back.

“I’m fucking naked, woman! Give me a goddamn second,” I snarled back.

“Geez, is that why I hear the shower?” she called back dryly.

Despite the horrifying situation, I still rolled my eyes at her unnecessary sarcasm.

I gestured toward Colin to be quiet, and he stared at me in disbelief.

It was probably stupid of me to tell him to be quiet when that much was self-evident.

Getting out of the shower, I grabbed the towel and dabbed at myself hastily before wrapping it around my waist.

Glancing back at Colin, I took a deep breath, steadying myself so I didn’t look nearly as panicked as I felt and stepped out into the main room, closing the bathroom door behind me.

Thankfully, Cait wasn’t paying attention when I stepped out so there was no chance she would see I wasn’t alone in the shower.

“I love how you can buy yourself a new bed, but you’ve never replaced this ancient thing,” Cait said as she bumped my desk chair with her hip. “I’m surprised your big ass hasn’t broken it yet.”

“And I love how you just showed up without warning,” I grumbled.

She turned and looked me over. “I’m sorry, Princess. Did I interrupt your hot soak?”

“I just got in,” I said with a grumble.

She sniffed. “Smells like your soap to me. I’d say you were in there longer than a little while.”

“Okay, Sherlock,” I said with a shake of my head. “Shouldn't you be asleep? We all had a week.”

“And the next couple probably aren’t going to be much better,” she said with a snort. “Spring Semester is about to end for a lot of colleges, and you know what that means.”

It used to mean drunken college kids deciding to try their hand at roughing it. Nowadays it meant stoned college kids deciding to get away from it all…by roughing it. Different intoxicants, same lack of brain cells and basic survival skills.

“Even more reason for you to go the fuck to bed,” I told her, eyeing the bottle sitting on my desk that hadn’t been there earlier. “Oh God, no. Not tonight, Cait, fuck me, I just want to go to bed after this shower.”

“Gee, I couldn’t tell,” she said with a snort, looking me over. “Are you…okay?”

“Other than standing here instead of in my shower where I was warm and comfortable? Yeah, I’m fucking glorious.”

Cait eyed me further. “No, I mean…are you? You’ve been…different lately.”

“Are we just going to pretend like I haven’t been having a hell of a time?” I asked wryly.

“Not what I meant,” she said, and I blinked when she approached. She peered up at me. “Even with everything going on between you and Mona, you’ve been…different.”

“No, I haven’t,” I said, and it wasn’t a lie. I couldn’t think of one thing I’d done any differently than I usually did. Well, except for Colin, but I knew for a fact that was a change no one but he and I knew about.

“Mmm, but you have,” she said, and I was really glad I was still covered in water because the sharpness of her gaze was making me nervous enough that I was afraid I’d start dripping sweat. “I haven’t been able to put my finger on what just yet, but you’ve been…different.”

“You’re being vague and making no sense,” I told her, stepping back. “The fuck are you doing?”

“Hmmm,” she hummed and looked around the cabin as if the answer was hanging in the air, waiting to be discovered by her sharp eyes.

Which, of course, was when I realized there was a pair of boots by the door that definitely weren’t mine, because mine were next to the desk.

Colin’s boots could easily be missed, but not when she was looking around like she was trying to find anything out of place.

It wasn’t as if he wore distinctive boots; they were brown and dirty like the rest of our boots, but they were smaller than mine, and she would know that at a glance.

“Cait,” I said, stopping her before she actually started nosing around. “Can we do this another time? I seriously just want to finish my shower and go the fuck to sleep.”

“Hmm,” she turned to me. “You’re hiding something, which is weird for you. You don’t hide shit from me, not normally.”

“I’m not,” I said, because Colin wasn’t a something. He was a someone…a very naked someone who was probably growing more tense the longer Cait stayed in my cabin. Not that I would blame him, I wasn’t thrilled about her still being here either.

“Liar,” she said, tapping her jaw thoughtfully.

“Cait?”

“Fine, fine. I’ll figure it out at some point. Keep your little secret; it won’t stay hidden for long.”

I glared at her. “Good night, Cait.”

She rolled her eyes. “Don’t open that bottle until I’m here, got it? I want to see your face when you drink it.”

“That’s…terrifying,” I admitted as she walked back to the door and I picked up the bottle. “Blueberry whiskey? I…eww.”

“It’s either going to be wonderful or awful, and I want to be here when you figure out which one it is,” she said, opening the door and pausing when the door swung wide and thumped into Colin’s boots.

“Jesus, you just let everything sit where it drops. And you complain about the rest of the guys here.”

“I wasn’t expecting company,” I said, as my heart hammered when she turned around.

I couldn’t be sure because it happened too quickly for me to see, but I’d swear her eyes darted to where my boots sat neatly next to the desk.

It was so quick, I couldn’t be sure she'd even registered what she’d seen, let alone connected the dots.

“Yeah, yeah. Good night. At least stop by my office tomorrow morning and have coffee with me,” she said with a shake of her head and closed the door.

It was dim enough in the cabin that I could clearly see the flashlight she’d brought with her, the beam bobbing down the path back toward the main building.

It wasn’t until I was sure I couldn’t see it anymore that I walked back to the bathroom and opened the door.

I snorted when I stared at Colin, who was standing under the water, his arms tucked protectively over his naked body, concealing his groin. “You look like you’re about to be sent to time-out.”

“Bro, I was scared shitless,” he said, eyes comically wide. “Do you think she—”

“I don’t,” I said a little uneasily. “It’s weird as hell that she just showed up. She never just shows up, not this late anyway.”

“That is weird,” he muttered, turning the shower off and grabbing a towel. “Did she say anything?”

“Not really,” I said, thinking of her pointed but not probing question. “She insisted I was hiding something.”

“More like someone,” he said nervously. “God, anyone else going to show up?”

“The only people stupid enough to come busting through my door without warning at this hour are her and you,” I told him with a frown.

“Yeah, but what I offer definitely makes up for your irritation,” he said as he dried himself off.

“You’re awfully confident in that,” I noted, and he grinned.

“Tell me I’m wrong,” he said, dropping his towel onto the sink and slinking toward me to wrap his arms around the back of my neck.

Only to reach down with one hand and tug at the tucked corner of the towel around my waist, letting it drop to the floor.

Our naked bodies were pressed together with nothing between us, and he gave a soft purr of pleasure as he pressed his body against my dick. “I dare you.”

“Shut the fuck up,” I told him in irritation, mostly because I had no way of telling him he was wrong without blatantly lying, and that would just get me called out. But I was still tense from Cait’s unexpected visit. “That was too close.”

“Well, at least now we know she won’t be coming back. We’re safe,” he said, and I could feel him stirring to life against my thigh.

“And the next time?” I asked.

“That’s for us to ponder over tomorrow, if you ask me.”

“I didn’t ask you.”

“Okay, but you definitely did just ask me.”

I stared at him and snorted. “Fine, I guess I did.”

“That you did,” he said with a chuckle. “Now, are you going to fret and worry about the future, or take advantage of the fact that we’re both clean and naked? There’s a bed I’m familiar being fucked into, and I’d really love to have it happen again.”

Being caught was more relevant than it had been before, but…

he made an interesting point. The chances of anyone else showing up without warning were practically zero, and while I was going to worry about Cait sniffing around in the future, it wasn’t going to be a problem tonight.

There was a moment when I pictured her sneaking back, peering in through the window and seeing a lot more than any of us wanted.

It was a terrifying image, but a stupid one too. Cait wasn’t the type to come back, and especially not sneak back. No, she was going to dig around as quietly as she could until she found something good enough for her to nail me to the wall with.

“Idiot,” I muttered against his lips, grabbing the back of his neck and dragging him with me as I stepped out of the bathroom, making him laugh as he snagged the towel off the sink while he let me lead him.

It felt a bit like scruffing an unruly animal, but unlike animals, Colin loved when I manhandled him.

It was almost funny that this incredibly competent, self-assured, and normally bold man was such a fan of being tossed around like a rag doll, but he would not hear any complaints from me about it.

I tossed him on the bed, and he landed with a laugh, scooting back to give me space.

Half sitting up, legs bent at the knees and spread, he made a pretty picture for me to sweep over with obvious hunger in my eyes.

He smirked, stroking his hard cock, because of course the asshole knew watching him pleasure himself always wound me tighter.
