Xun Ye clung to me more tightly than usual tonight.

During our intimacy, he pressed me so tightly it felt like he wanted to embed me into his own body.

Loss and confusion filled his eyes.

My heart softened.

He lifted his head and asked me.

"Wen Yu, why can't I have children?"

"If I could give birth, would your life finally be complete?"

I found him foolishly adorable.

In this position, if anyone were to bear a child, it would have to be me.

Men can't have children anyway, and I didn't need any. I only wanted to keep him.

"Wen Yu, does that mean we can't get married?"

"Will you envy normal people's lives?"

"Will you get tired of me one day and abandon me?"

"I can't leave you."

"Wen Yu, you're not allowed to be with anyone else."

He bit down on my neck.

Harder than ever before.

"Otherwise, I'll lock you up, Wen Yu."

"But I can't bear to treat you like that."

So that was what he was worried about.

I smiled at him.

"I don't need children. I only need you."

"If we can't get married, then we'll stay passionately in love for the rest of our lives."

A marriage certificate was just a piece of paper. Xun Ye and I recognized each other.

We were each other's world. Our passion lasted.

I gently pushed his sweat-covered body away.

I reached for two boxes on the bedside table.

I fastened a necklace around his neck, then slipped a bracelet onto my own wrist.

He touched his neck, then touched my wrist.

"Why aren't they rings?"

In his pupils, I saw my own somewhat sick smile.

"Because what you wore was a dog leash. What I wore was its wrist part."

"Between us, there was an invisible chain."

It tamed you and bound me.

Xun Ye smiled with a sense of security, rubbing his face against my neck.

Human hearts had changed too easily before. They never lasted.

He was my Stray Dog, and I was his flower.

His collar fit perfectly against my hold.
