Epilogue
Eros
THREE YEARS LATER
I used to think the universe was cruel. I am the god of love, yet, I had no love to speak of.
For millennia I searched high and low for my other half. I’d begun to lose hope. Believing I was fated to help others find love, while I remained alone.
Until Theo.
To think I finally found my soulmate in a hotel bar on Valentine’s Day three years ago today is unbelievable, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The only thing I would have changed is to have found him sooner.
But I suppose all love happens when it’s meant to happen.
It cannot be forced, or made of wishes. The universe finally brought us together, and now we have forever.
My eyes find my love as he does what he does best—drawing a sample from a barrel of red wine that’s been aging for a year now, swirling it beneath the light, tasting the vintage to see if it’s ready to be bottled, and sold.
I observe him for a moment, careful that he doesn’t hear me.
I told him to meet me at the main house at seven, and it’s now fifteen past. I planned a little surprise for us to celebrate our anniversary together, and have a picnic laid out at the edge of our property here in Santorini, complete with twinkle lights and blankets, but it will have to wait till later.
The Aegean Sea isn’t going anywhere, and the finger foods won’t spoil. Not that it matters anyway.
When my soul twined together with Theo’s, he lost the ability to get sick like a regular human.
Like me, he still enjoys food and libations, and we need some to keep our bodies functioning.
He needs to sleep more than I ever will, but it’s not the same as before.
Life looks different these days, for the both of us.
I’m a god who’s lived a very long life. With that, I have more than enough money to support Theo and his dreams. I already had land in Santorini, and it didn’t take much convincing to get him to move here.
We built the Love Struck Vineyards from the ground up.
In the last couple of years, Theo has made a name for himself, and the wines he produces, all over Greece.
With how good they are, I have no doubt he’ll be a worldwide brand soon enough.
He travels with me when he can. He loves watching me at work, helping souls find love when they most need it.
Not to mention, when he found out I have wings, ones that I keep hidden from view except when I’m flying, he couldn’t believe it.
Now flying with me in the clouds is one of his favorite things to do.
I can’t complain. I’ll take every chance I get to hold him close.
Even if that’s how we end every day together.
I may not need much sleep, but I’ll never turn down a night with my mate. My Theo.
“Are you going to stare at me all night, baby?”
My eyes find his deep brown ones, as he swirls the glass tube with the bit of wine still left in it.
“I plan to.” With my hands in the pockets of my slacks, I walk toward my soulmate. He looks handsome in a simple black t-shirt that stretches across his muscled chest and toned stomach, along with a pair of jeans and sandals.
Theo’s cheeks flush pink and he chuckles. When I reach him, he hands me the tube. “Taste this and tell me what you think.”
I take it from his hands, making sure our fingers brush when I do. The familiar spark I get every time we touch travels through me and straight to my cock. No matter how long I’m with Theo for, it’s always the same when we touch. Like two stars colliding in the night, destined to meet.
I bring the glass to my lips, and he doesn’t take his eyes off me. I sip the red liquid, using all the tricks to taste wine that he’s taught me. The earthy, yet spiced flavor explodes over my taste buds, and I moan.
“This is wonderful.”
“Really?”
“I wouldn’t lie to you.”
He beams at me. “Tell me what you taste.”
“Vanilla,” I sip a bit more. “It’s also floral and spiced.”
His smile widens. “Perfect. That is exactly what I was going for.”
I sip the last of the wine and place the tube on the top of a tall table next to us. I grab him around the waist so our bodies meld together in the way I know he loves. His strong arms wrap around my shoulders, and he cocks his head to the side, eyes twinkling.
“Would you like to know what I’m going to call it?”
“Of course,” I lean forward and nip at his lips.
He chuckles and pushes me back so he can stare into my eyes. “Eros.”
My heart flutters in my chest. “You’re naming it after me?”
“I’ve been attempting to perfect this red for two years now, but couldn’t get it right. Now, I think it finally is.”
I suck on my tongue to taste the lingering flavors again. Floral, spiced, and the hint of vanilla. It’s what he’s always told me I smell like. The smell I know he’s addicted to.
My cock swells, and I press my hips into his, feeling his cock hardening, too.
“You like that idea?” My mate says breathlessly, his lips hovering over mine.
“I like everything you do, say, and are, Theo. I’m honored you’d name this wine after me.”
The tip of his nose brushes against mine. “Does it forgive me for not coming to meet you on time? I know you’ve been planning something for our anniversary. But as you know, it’s easy for me to lose track of time when I’m in the cellar.”
I ghost my lips over his teasingly. “Maybe.”
He pulls his face back slightly. “Just maybe?”
I nod mischievously. He knows I’ve already forgiven him. I understand his love for growing grapes, and making wines. I love that he’s passionate about what he does, and him being late here and there doesn’t hurt my feelings, because he always makes up for it. Just like he will now.
“Show me how sorry you are, and I’ll consider it,” I say.
Theo doesn’t waste a second of time. He drops to his knees in front of me, not caring that the concrete floor beneath him is hard, and cold. I know because he’s been in this position many times before. He gets off on the pain of it.
I drop my hands to my sides as Theo undoes my belt buckle, pulling my pants and underwear down around my ankles. My cock springs free, the head already leaking with pre-cum.
Theo moans at the sight of it, and I grip his chin before he can take me in his mouth, his dilated gaze that’s filled with need connecting with mine.“Suck me, Theo. Don’t stop until I’m coming down your throat.”
“Yes, Eros.”
He opens his mouth wide and I guide his willing hole to my cock. I moan in delight when his warm, wet, tongue glides along the underside of my shaft. He hums in his own pleasure, the vibrations buzzing over my sensitive skin.
I grip the sides of his head, not wanting to take this slow. I need to come down his throat. More than that, the stupid and possessive side of me wants to replace the taste of his treasured wine with the real taste of me. Silly? Probably. But I don’t fucking care.
“Suck harder, Theo.”
He hollows his cheeks, creating a vacuum-like sensation. I groan, and fuck into his mouth. Dragging his head back and forth on my shaft, taking pleasure in the way his eyes begin to water, and he gags when I hit the back of his throat.
His hands grip my naked thighs, nails digging into my flesh as I use him. The light sting makes my cock twitch in his mouth, and I take him harder.
Theo looks up at me the best he can, love and devotion shining in his gaze through his tears. I drag my nails through his short hair, and he sucks me harder still.
“Such a perfect hole for your mate, aren’t you, Theo?”
He moans and attempts to nod his head as I fuck him harder, my hips pistoning till I hit the back of his throat, and spit drips from the corner of his perfect lips.
“Fuck, baby. I’m going to come. Are you ready to drink your favorite wine?”
He moans again and pushes his mouth down on my cock as far as he can go, so my crown is down his throat, and his nose is buried against my pubic bone. I let go of my release, surrendering to my orgasm. I swear nonsensical words as my cock pulses, and Theo drinks me down, like the good boy he is.
When his perfect mouth has sucked me dry of every drop of cum, I pull back, dropping to my knees before him. I kiss him gently, tasting my release on his tongue, before licking away his tears. When both of us have caught our breath, I hold his face in my hands.
“Am I forgiven now?”
I brush my thumb over his high cheekbone. “Always, my love.”
He kisses me this time and doesn’t pull away until air becomes necessary. “Happy anniversary, Eros. I love you.”
“Happy anniversary, Theo. I love you, too.”
“Forever?”
“Forever.”
