40. Sadie
CHAPTER FORTY
Sadie
If I thought the night had already been perfect, I was wrong.
Because nothing, nothing , could have prepared me for the way my heart stopped when they asked me to move in.
I stared at them, my pulse a frantic, stuttering thing beneath my skin. My body was exhausted, my heart full, my emotions stretched so thin I felt like I might shatter.
And then Kai, sitting right in front of me, holding my hands, looked me straight in the eye and said, “Say yes.”
Everything in me melted.
It wasn’t just the words… it was the way he looked at me. The way Adam’s fingers tightened around mine, the way Samuel’s steady presence grounded me, the way Kai’s warmth and intensity pulled me in.
I exhaled shakily. “Yes.”
The relief in their faces was immediate. Adam let out a quiet “Hell yeah” under his breath, Samuel’s lips twitched into a rare, satisfied smile, and Kai…
He just held my hands like he wasn’t ready to let go.
“Good,” he murmured, rubbing his thumbs over my knuckles. “That’s real good, S.”
A shiver danced down my spine, and suddenly, exhaustion wasn’t the only thing making my limbs feel heavy. The way they were looking at me—the heat in Adam’s dark eyes, the quiet intensity in Samuel’s gaze, the slow, knowing smirk on Kai’s lips—it sent warmth curling low in my stomach.
I swallowed hard, my skin buzzing from the weight of their attention.
“Now what?” I whispered.
Adam shifted beside me, his arm draped casually over the back of the couch, but there was nothing casual about the way his fingers brushed my shoulder, trailing over the bare skin peeking out from my sweater.
“Now,” he drawled, his voice rough, “we celebrate.”
Kai leaned in, his hands sliding to my waist, his touch firm but gentle.
The next thing I knew, his mouth was on mine, stealing the breath straight from my lungs. His kiss was deep, slow, possessive, like he wanted to make sure I knew exactly who I belonged to.
And oh, I felt it.
Samuel pressed in from behind me, his lips ghosting over the shell of my ear. Adam’s fingers trailed up my thigh, teasing, coaxing, as Kai swallowed the soft sound that escaped me.
I was surrounded. Consumed.
And I let go.
I let them love me the way they wanted to love me. The way I’d always wanted to be loved.
Completely. Unconditionally.
And God… it was everything.
Samuel’s grip on my thighs tightened as he settled onto the couch, pulling me into his lap with ease. My breath hitched, anticipation coiling tight in my belly.
Behind me, Kai’s hands slid beneath my shirt, his touch firm yet teasing as he dragged it up and over my head, leaving me bare except for my bra. His lips found the back of my neck, teeth grazing my skin before his tongue soothed the sting.
“You’re so fucking beautiful,” Kai murmured against my shoulder, hands wandering lower.
Adam knelt beside us, his fingers tracing delicate lines over my stomach, my ribs, the sensitive skin just beneath my breasts.
Samuel’s hands framed my face, guiding my gaze to his. His eyes were dark, full of heat. “God, Sadie, you have no idea how much I love you.”
I silenced him by sinking to my knees between his legs, fingers working the buttons of his jeans. “I love you, too.”
A sharp inhale from above me. “Fuck, Sadie.”
Kai chuckled behind me. “Think that’s our cue, huh?”
Before I could process his words, his hands gripped my hips, pulling me back against him, spreading me wide as he settled onto his knees behind me. Warm lips pressed to the small of my back, then lower, lower…
A gasp tore from my throat as his tongue met my slick heat, his fingers digging into my thighs to hold me still. My head fell forward, a moan vibrating against Samuel’s thigh as I finally freed him, thick and heavy in my hand.
“God damn it, no wonder I love you too,” Adam murmured, his hands sliding down my arms, over my back, soothing, teasing, never settling in one place. “We all do.”
I dragged my tongue along Samuel’s length, savoring the way he tensed beneath me. His hand threaded into my hair, guiding but not forcing, his control unraveling as I took him deeper.
The sounds he made—low, breathless curses—sent a fresh wave of heat through me, but then Kai groaned , his tongue working faster, fingers slipping inside me, and suddenly I couldn’t focus on anything except the pleasure building between my thighs.
“Fuck,” Samuel ground out, his grip in my hair tightening, torn between letting me continue and pulling me up so he could watch me fall apart.
Adam chuckled, his fingers brushing over my sensitive peaks, rolling my nipples between his fingers.
Kai’s tongue flicked against my clit at the same moment Samuel groaned my name, his hips jerking up, the combination pushing me over the edge. My entire body tensed, a cry spilling from my lips as pleasure crashed over me in waves, my nails digging into Samuel’s thighs as I shook.
Samuel pulled me up before I could recover, his mouth capturing mine in a desperate, claiming kiss.
“Bed,” he rasped against my lips. “Now.”
And I wasn’t about to argue.
Samuel’s command hung thick in the air, charged with heat and anticipation. My legs were still trembling, my body buzzing, but when he stood, lifting me effortlessly into his arms, I let myself sink into him.
Kai and Adam followed close behind as Samuel carried me through the dimly lit hallway, their hands roaming, teasing, never leaving my skin for too long.
My breath hitched when Adam leaned in, nipping at the spot just below my ear, his voice a husky murmur.
“You have no idea what you do to us.”
My fingers curled into Samuel’s shoulders, my head falling back against Adam’s chest as Samuel nudged open the bedroom door. The room bathed in soft, golden light from the bedside lamp.
The second Samuel set me down, my knees barely had a chance to steady before Kai was there, his fingers gripping my waist, his lips capturing mine in a slow, intoxicating kiss.
I melted into him, pressing closer, feeling the heat of his bare skin as Adam moved behind me. His hands traced the curve of my spine before sliding lower, grabbing my hips and pulling me flush against him.
A shudder ran through me as Samuel’s callused hands came up to cradle my face, his dark eyes burning with a deep, possessive need. “On the bed, sweetheart.”
I obeyed, my pulse racing as I crawled backward, the three of them following, a storm of heat and hunger in their eyes.
Kai was the first to reach me, his body settling between my thighs, his lips trailing fire down my collarbone and across the swell of my breast, teasing, worshipping.
Adam’s hands explored, mapping every inch of my skin, while Samuel watched me, his controlled gaze devouring every reaction, every sound, before finally leaning in.
Samuel’s lips brushed against my ear, his voice rough with a powerful desire. “Do you feel it, Sadie? How much we love you?”
A shiver ran through me at the sheer emotion in his voice. Before I could answer, Kai’s mouth found the curve of my throat, pressing open-mouthed kisses along my skin, his hands framing my waist like he couldn’t bear to let go.
“I love you,” Kai murmured, his lips skimming over my shoulder. “Always have, S. Always will.”
My chest tightened with something too big to hold inside.
Adam’s fingers traced up my arm, over my ribs, reverent and careful. “You’re it for us, sweetheart,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “There’s no one else. There never could be.”
I turned toward him, needing to see the truth in his eyes, and when I did, my heart nearly broke from the intensity there.
“I love you,” I whispered, my voice barely steady. “All of you. So much.”
Samuel’s fingers tilted my chin, his dark eyes burning into mine. “Say it again.”
I exhaled shakily, cupping his face as I repeated the words, letting them pour out of me like they had been waiting my whole life to be spoken. “I love you.”
His jaw clenched, a flicker of vulnerability passing through his gaze before he kissed me—slow, deep, consuming. Like he was memorizing the shape of my mouth, the taste of my love, the promise in every breath.
Kai pressed closer, his hands splayed against my back, his lips finding the curve of my shoulder, whispering, “We’re yours, S. Always.”
Adam’s fingers laced with mine, pressing our joined hands against my chest where my heart pounded. “Forever,” he murmured.
I closed my eyes, letting myself be surrounded, cherished, adored.
And all of a sudden, I realized I didn’t just believe in love… I felt it in every breath, every kiss, every whispered promise.
This was home.
They were home.
