Chapter 25 #2
The Tarek flicks the tip of one tentacle toward Rathyn. “Him.”
Then one of his tentacles reaches out. It hovers before me, and I stare at it, unsure what to do. Do I shake it? Is he trying to touch me? Is this like an octopus you see at the aquarium, feeling out their environment using their sensory receptors?
“You can shake the way humans do. I will not use my hands as they are not clean,” the Tarek says, and I slowly reach out my hand, taking one tentacle end. It sucks at my skin slightly, and I pull back, the sensation odd and uncomfortable.
But I can tell it meant no harm.
“I am Sabik, son of Kharrek, from the ancient lands of Syel.”
I nod, clearing my throat. “I’m, um, Everest, son of Robert and Mary, from the land of Earth.”
Sabik’s lips curl slightly in what I’m pretty sure is a smile, but then I remember where I am, of what I had to risk getting here.
I shake my head and step toward Rathyn, who is still injured on the ground.
I kneel beside him, my hands finding his.
Our fingers curl, and he brings my palm to his lips.
I feel the brush of them against my skin, and my eyes water.
“What happened?” I rasp, feeling suddenly overcome.
“He was injured.”
“I see that,” I say, my brat coming out a little too harshly, though Sabik doesn’t seem to mind.
“He is tended to. He will recover in time.”
“Thank you.”
I sniffle and then peer down at Rathyn. “Honestly. You can’t do this to me. Running off and getting hurt. You almost gave me a heart attack.”
“My Everest. I did not run off. It was discussed. I walked off with your farewell.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know. No need to be so literal. God. So, what happened?”
“The Seymosi,” Rathyn says. “It was a simple quest to the Outerlands to subdue an uprising, and I stepped on a nest. A stupid mistake, but I was in a rush…”
“To get back to me,” I whisper, and his eyes flash.
“You are not to blame. It was my mistake.”
“It was careless,” Sabik says and then moves toward Rathyn.
His hand reaches down to a bandage on Rathyn’s chest and peels it back.
He makes a sound in his throat and sighs.
“The herbs have not worked as quickly as I’d like.
The Vyastil are stubborn creatures. I suggest you offer him what only a human can.
It will only do so much, but it will be enough for him to walk. ”
My eyes widen, and Sabik nods.
“We will give you privacy.”
He motions for Cielo to move around a corner, but he’s reluctant to follow. It’s only when Sabik says something in Eretharian that he goes, leaving Rathyn and me alone. The fire crackles behind us, the heat of it warming my shivering body.
“Does my cum really heal you?” I ask.
“Yes. It does, but I will not ask this of you if you don’t want to give it.”
I roll my eyes. “Of course, now you’re going to be the martyr when you actually need it. So fucking typical. Honestly, I’m so mad at you right now and so fucking relieved you’re okay.”
I straddle his face as I pull my cock from my pants, the robe falling off my shoulders and onto the ground. It’s still in the cage, and I see the moment his eyes catch on the metal. I have the key in my pocket, and it only takes me a second to pull it out.
His fingers tremble, but when I pass it to him, he takes it.
“I want you to get better so you can come home with me. I wore this for you, and you should let me out so I can give you what you need.”
“My Everest,” he murmurs gently, then unlocks the cage, pulls me free, and sets it to the side.
I stare at him as I stroke my cock to hardness, and the way Rathyn is eyeing me is making it an easy feat.
My cockhead brushes against his lips, dragging some precum across his lips. He moans, and I lean forward, letting my length slip into his mouth. It’s a slow drag, an insistence that he doesn’t get injured again.
His tongue curls around me, and I feel those piercings slide up and down my cock, pulling a soft gasp from me.
“Oh god.”
He hums around me as his hand slides my pants down further, a finger moving against my rim. I’m not wet there, and he must realize it because a moment later, I feel something slick moving against me.
His finger, but this time covered in his natural lubrication.
I groan as he slowly works me open, finding my prostate and pressing against it.
I don’t last long. A wave of relief and pleasure pulsing through me as he drinks me down.
But he doesn’t stop there. He continues to suck, our eyes locked on each other, his mouth pulled wide around my cock.
The sight of it, the way his eyes are pure rainbow, brings me quickly over the edge once more.
I arch back, my neck straining, my mouth open in a silent scream, and then I fall forward, my chest heaving.
“Fuck. Is that enough? I didn’t bring any ruenox. I don’t know if under this kind of pressure I can come again so quickly.”
Rathyn blinks up at me, his tongue swiping at his chin, his finger pulling out of me slowly. “This is enough. Like the Tarek said, I just need enough to walk.”
I sigh and then hold his head in my hands, my nose meeting his, my eyes shutting as I inhale his scent. “Do not do this again, Rathyn. I couldn’t bear it if anything happened to you. I mean it.”
He hums, and our lips meet, the taste of me on his tongue making my cock twitch between my legs. Rathyn takes it in his hand, but instead of stroking me hard once more, he grabs the cock cage and holds it to the end of my dick.
“I wish to place this on you again.”
I shudder and nod. “Yes.”
He does. He’s careful with me, locking me away with a tenderness I’ve come to expect from him now that we’re…whatever we are. Something new. Something I don’t have words for. When the lock snicks into place, Rathyn pulls me closes and kisses me again as he slips the key back into my pocket.
When his lips leave mine, I move off him and call out for Cielo and Sabik. They appear within seconds, Cielo’s skin flushed purple, Sabik looking serious.
He slithers over to Rathyn and peels back one of the bandages. His head cocks, and I hear a huff. “Amazing,” he says and meets my gaze. “I would like a sample of your semen.”
Rathyn hums angrily from his perch on the floor, and I roll my eyes.
“Stop being so dramatic. He saved your life.” Then turn back to Sabik. “Why?”
“To study. I am curious about the property in your semen that makes it so effective in healing the Vyastil.”
Rathyn’s pitch is off as he murmurs, “You will not touch him.”
Sabik ignores him and continues to address me. “Obviously, I will not touch you, but if you are able to deposit some in a container. I can have it delivered to me.”
“You will not give them the advantage, Everest.”
I sigh. “I mean, are you going to use it to hurt the Vyastil?”
Sabik’s eyes narrow, and he huffs loudly. “Us? Hurt the Vyastil? Is that what you were told?”
I cock an eyebrow and roll my lips between my teeth.
“Yeah, I mean. Kind of.”
Sabik glances at Rathyn and then back at me. “Remember, human. There are always two sides to a story, but this, unfortunately, is not one I can tell. You do not have the time. You are not supposed to be here.”
I really dislike that answer. I mean, why can’t he tell me? Is it some kind of state secret? But he’s right. Now isn’t the time. I need to get out of this world before someone catches me here. What I’ve done is dangerous enough.
“Well, I will be waiting to hear the whole story. Both of them,” I point at Rathyn and then back at Sabik, who reaches out a tentacle and pokes at my finger. I feel that telltale suck, and I pull away quickly.
“But we do need to go. I don’t think it’s safe for me to hang around here.” I glance at Cielo and then Rathyn. “Can you walk now?”
Cielo moves quickly to his side, leaning down and helping him stand.
I pluck my robe off the ground and pull it on, tugging the hood over my head to disguise myself as best I can.
Rathyn grunts and then pushes himself to his full height. “I will manage.”
He doesn’t seem as injured as he was just moments before, so I know my cum is working. He’ll definitely need more when we get back home, though. Much more.
I nod at Sabik, and he stares at Rathyn.
There is a hum of something pulsing between them, and then Rathyn utters something in his language. Sabik replies, almost looking shocked, but then nods, turns, and disappears.
“What was that?” I ask Rathyn as I move toward the entrance of the cave. Cielo is holding on to Rathyn, his arm and tail around him, supporting him as he walks.
“An agreement. He saved my life. I will not bring him in.”
I stare at him as I rush to keep up. Even injured, they move faster than me. “Wait, you’d bring him in?”
“He is a Tarek. He was out after curfew. Yes.”
“Rath. Honestly. That is, like, super shitty…”
But I’m cut off by Cielo making a noise in his throat. A warning. My mouth closes, and I pull the robe tighter around me. We’re nearing the entrance of the cave and about to start the dangerous journey back to the portal. I need to stay quiet so as not to be spotted.
And we manage it. We do. We make it to the portal undetected.
As we step through, my heart in my throat, I blink as we appear in the shitty shed at the bottom of the hill.
And that’s when I realize we’re probably, most likely, fucked.
