Under the flickering lights, I sat in the corner of the Private Room, smiling politely at old classmates who came over to talk.

As the mood grew louder, I tried to shrink into the shadows.

I had just let out a quiet breath.

Then the door was pushed open in the middle of the Class Reunion.

A man in a black hoodie, face full of lazy indifference, walked in without warning.

The air froze.

Six years of buried pain—sharp, heavy, suffocating—surged up and crushed my chest.
