Epilogue

“I can’t believe Everlee agreed to go to the bar tonight. She looks like she’s about ready to pop and is beyond miserable,” I muse to Anya as I dry off after getting out of the shower.
She’s looking in the mirror, putting on makeup at the counter. “She said it’ll help take her mind off of the discomfort and that she won’t have many chances to do something like this for a while after the baby comes.”
“I guess that makes sense. I suppose I’ll give up an evening alone with you for that cause.”
It’s impossible to miss the eye roll in the mirror as she snorts. “Yeah, because you don’t get enough time alone with me. I’m sure you’ll survive.”
Wrapping the towel at my waist, I come up behind her, encircling my arms around her, my hands rubbing her belly as I rest my chin on her shoulder.
“Yeah, but before we know it, we won’t have the alone time.
We gotta take advantage of it while we can.
” I thrust my thickening cock against her ass to punctuate my point.
She elbows me. “Get that thing away from me or we’ll never get out of here.”
I drop my hands with a sigh, knowing she’s right and also knowing how much she’s looking forward to hanging out with her friends.
Their ending up in Coyote Creek helped make Anya’s move a lot easier, and anything that makes life easier for my woman is a plus in my book.
So I’ll suffer through having to share her with the women who are more family to her than her own.
I’m just glad they have significant others who are tolerable.
Becca being with one of my buddies was great, but getting to know Austin and Brooks hasn’t been bad either.
I haven’t spent much time around cowboys before, but they’re not all that different from the type of men Keaton and I are.
The brothers work hard and adore their women, putting their needs above anything else.
Now I have Sugarplum, I can understand the sentiment.
I will do anything for the curvy knockout who has completely stolen my heart.
She is now the reason I get out of bed each day and makes the sun shine in my world.
Her little fib actually ended up working in my favor, because the more I’ve gotten to know her, the more I know she would’ve fought us moving so quickly.
But now we’re living her dream life and the life I never knew I wanted until she turned up.
The only thing missing is Ma, but I know she would’ve approved and is now smiling down on us.
