Chapter 26 #2

“If I were there, then that might be a good start. Maybe I would pull you up from that couch. Drag you to the table. Push you over it and hold you in place. Take you from behind until I can feel you shaking under my hands.”

A moan mingled with Harper’s now quickened breathing. “Just maybe?”

“It’s an option.” Maya almost chuckled when Harper moaned louder. “You might not be able to handle my other ideas. I have a feeling that if I started listing them, you wouldn’t last more than a couple of scenarios before you’d fall apart.”

“You don’t know that.”

“Oh, but I do. I know that the thought of me doing whatever I want to you is so enticing that it’s already gotten you close.

I can hear it in your breathing. In the way you’re trying to stifle those pretty moans of yours.

” Maya chuckled. Another thing she couldn’t help. “Do you want me to keep going?”

“Dammit, yes.” A low whine came through the phone. “Yes, Sir.”

“You really want it, huh? So desperate. The way you’re craving my hand on that toy you’re using. The way you want me to pin you down, press it against you, and hold it in place, even when you’re telling me that you’re getting too sensitive.”

“Oh,” Harper moaned. Her breathing was ragged now. “Yes. Yes, I-I want that.”

“You’re not getting it,” Maya said, a thrill firing through her when Harper whimpered.

“If I were there right now, I wouldn’t touch you like that.

Or even at all. Instead, I’d tie you up.

Take off all your clothes and cuff your hands behind your back.

Bind your ankles and thighs together, leaving you completely immobilized. ”

The whirring sound grew louder. A strained sigh came from the speaker.

“You would be helpless against my touch,” Maya continued. “Powerless to claim any sort of stimulation yourself. The only pleasure you’d experience would be whatever I felt like giving to you. And I would be very patient.”

“Oh, God…” Harper moaned. “Th-then what? Please?”

“I can make you beg just with my voice? You really are desperate.”

“Please,” Harper said tightly. “I’m so close, okay? So just… please keep going.”

“But here’s the thing. How close you are doesn’t matter. You getting what you want is my decision. Not yours. And with how you just acted, I’m not inclined to give it to you at all.”

Harper was struggling. It was clear from her shallow breathing, interrupted only by choked moans. Edging herself clearly wasn’t a skill she practiced much, but she was trying.

Under other circumstances, Maya might have coaxed her into falling over. Would have teased her all the way to the edge. But given how one-sided this was, Harper deserved a little frustration.

“I’d leave you tied up next to me,” Maya continued.

“I wouldn’t touch you. Not for several minutes.

Or maybe over an hour, just to make sure the lesson sticks.

Only then would I take what’s mine. Only then would I turn you over on your back, take that toy in my hands, and push it between your legs.

I’d hold it in place until you started trembling from the sheer intensity of it. ”

The whirring grew louder. Harper’s moans did the same, quick and unstifled now.

“Then what?” she exhaled.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’d give you a very simple instruction. One you really should heed. For your own sake.” Maya smirked. “Don’t come.”

Harper gasped, rapid moans following. Loud and ragged, growing in volume as those two words pulled her over the edge. Just a few seconds later, her moans transitioned into a high whine that petered out into shallow sighs.

They stayed like that for about a minute. Then Harper took a deep breath. And groaned.

“That was not fair.”

“You’re saying it’s not fair?” Maya grinned. “Need I remind you that I sleep in a basement-turned-barracks? I don’t have any privacy. Thanks to you, that’s really annoying right now.”

Harper laughed. A loud and unabashed sound, so far from the seductive version she’d used moments before. Her real laugh. Wrapped in surprise and breathlessness.

A pang of longing pierced Maya’s chest. More than anything, she wished she could reach through the phone. To touch Harper, kiss the sweat off her skin, feel her heartbeat against her lips. She wanted it so much that the ache for it overpowered every other desire.

“Come out here,” Maya said, voice so low it was less than a whisper. But Harper’s silence made it clear she’d heard it anyway.

“Is that possible?” Harper asked.

“If it’s just a visit, then…” Maya shook her head. “Never mind. Forget I asked. It’s way too far to drive, and it’s dangerous, especially for you, so you shouldn’t—”

“Yes,” Harper said. “I can come out there. I want to. Even if it’s just for a few minutes, then… Just tell me where to go, and I’ll make the drive.”

She spoke with no hesitation. With nothing but eagerness. As though she felt the pain of their separation as keenly as Maya did.

This shouldn’t happen. She should shoot this down, retract the offer, say anything that would keep Harper safely away. Maya was present because wolves stalked their border, and if Harper came out there, it would put her too close to their fangs.

But Maya didn’t do any of that. Instead, she just sighed.

“I’ll send you the address.”
