Sunshine

T he coast of Italy was beautiful. We walked around the beach, Logan talking about the restaurant we had just finished eating at.

Life was good. I looked out at the ocean, and pulled Julian against me, linking hands while we walked.

“I’m really glad you asked to snuggle with me,” I grinned up at him. “You’re the best friend and packmate ever.”

Luca and Logan were both beaming.

“And you two are the best alphas. My friends, my support, my loves.” Happiness filled me. It hurt to lose some old friends, but the future was bright. I had my pack and I had my family.

“Funny you should say that.” Julian paused and stopped in front of me. “I want to ask you to snuggle with me. Forever.”

“Of course.”

Julian shifted his weight and pulled a small black box out of his pocket. “I mean…, will you marry me? Marry all of us? I know you’re bonded into the pack,” he said quickly. “I thought we could have a bonding ceremony and a wedding at the same time.”

“Yes!” I squealed. I jumped into his arms, while Luca and Logan clapped.

“When?” I looked into Julian’s brown eyes, loving him so much it almost hurt. As soon as he put the idea into my head, I couldn’t stop thinking about being his wife.

“Now?” Julian gave me his best grin, the grin that made my heart skip a beat, and I fell in love with him all over again. Down the beach he pointed to a big white awning with white gauze. “We could have a small ceremony here, and then a big party back home?”

“Yes.” I laughed, pulling Julian into a fierce hug. Logan and Luca bracketed my sides, and universe felt perfectly in sync.

This was love was about. Unconditional support and devotion. I linked hands with Julian and Logan, Luca holding Julian’s hand, and we walked down the beach to our bonding ceremony.

To our future of being together.
