Chapter 6 Office Hell
Work was inhuman.
I sprawled across the huge desk, wanting to cry.
I’d sat through morning meetings and understood nothing.
Stacks of files covered the entire desk.
How had Ji Chengzhou finished everything and still driven home for dinner every night?
No wonder he quit. I’d have thrown in the towel ages ago.
I asked Assistant Wang, “How did Ji Chengzhou handle all this every day?”
His tech company was mostly run by his partner now, but he still stepped in for big decisions—his workload had to be even heavier.
Assistant Wang adjusted his glasses. “President Ji read documents incredibly fast. He could multitask—review files during meetings, listen to reports, and still catch data errors.”
So he really treated himself like two people.
I started feeling a little sorry for him.
After work, I obeyed Mom and Dad and went to check on him.
