Chapter 14 #2
My parents and sister had been here for a few days already.
I’d missed my family and wanted to enjoy some quality time with them, but I was over it.
I loved my family dearly, but my social battery was getting low.
My father insisted on them staying in a hotel, but there was no way I’d let that happen when I had the extra space.
When I made it home from work earlier, I let them know I’d be staying the night at Saturn’s.
I knew she wouldn’t stay with me while they were there, and to be honest, I needed the escape.
Tonight was the first night I could relax and not be in host mode.
Right now, Saturn and I were laying in her bed, pecking away at the keys on our laptops.
Neither of us were paying attention to the television playing lowly in the background.
Sparky was in his corner of Saturn’s room, snoring like a grown ass man.
When I first heard him snoring like that, it was on a video Saturn had sent me.
Although I saw it with my own eyes, it was hard to believe he snored like he worked twelve-hour shifts every day.
This was the routine I’d gotten used to.
It was the one part of my day I had to look forward to.
Saturn and I could be laying in silence and I’d still be content. Being next to her calmed my soul and made me forget about the chaos of everyday life. Closing my laptop, I put it on the nightstand before taking my shirt off.
“Give me like five minutes and I’ll wrap it up. I’m just placing some orders for the shop,” she explained.
“Cool.”
After calling for Sparky, I left the bedroom when I knew he was behind me.
He used to sleep in the same room as us, but Saturn and I both decided he should sleep in the living room.
One night he looked over and saw us being intimate and the shit felt awkward.
Now, we closed the bedroom door or made sure he was nowhere in sight.
I walked around the house and secured each lock and the alarms. Satisfied that everything was good, I walked to the kitchen and found Saturn’s favorite tumbler in the dish rack.
Grabbing it, I opened the ice maker and put a few scoops of ice in.
I pulled out two bottles of water and poured one of them in Saturn’s cup.
My baby didn’t play about having her ice-cold water at her side throughout the night. When I made it back to the room, Saturn was laying down with the covers pulled up to her chin. Her bonnet covered her copper curls and she looked relaxed.
“Thank you, baby,” she said when I set the tumbler down.
“Of course. Can I turn the light off?”
“Yes, please.”
In one swift motion, I had the light off and the door closed. When I was back in bed, I reached for Saturn and felt she was naked. Pulling her close to me, I kissed her forehead and cheeks before kissing her lips.
“I missed you, baby.”
“You’ve seen me every day, Mccoy,” she giggled.
“You know what I mean. I wanna feel fat ma.”
“Mccoy, move,” she fussed as she swiped my hand away.
“Why I gotta move?”
“Because…we just had sex not long ago and I’m not taking another shower tonight.”
“That was two hours ago, baby. Why you being stingy? I know my girl missed me.”
“She did, but your girl is still recovering from the damage done earlier.”
Sighing, I rolled onto my back and pulled the comforter up.
Saturn was right about us going at it earlier.
When I got here, I couldn’t contain myself and we ended up going two rounds.
Honestly, the only reason there wasn’t a third was because she had a lot of work to do.
These past few days had been filled with being with my family and I missed my girl.
Yes, I’d seen her every day, but I hadn’t been able to love on her the way I was used to.
“Don’t be mad at me, baby,” Saturn said as she climbed on top of me.
“I would never be mad about sex, baby. As much as I would love to be inside of you, no means no, and I’ll always respect that.”
“See, that’s why I love you?—”
Her hand flew to her mouth when she realized what she said but I heard her loud and clear. Just as she tried to pull herself off me, I wrapped my arm around her back and held her tightly. Saturn’s cheeks turned beet red and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“You love me, Saturn? I’m asking seriously,” I said sternly.
“Yes,” she admitted before burying her face in my chest.
“Look at me.”
I didn’t speak until our eyes were connected for a long moment.
It was good to know we were on the same page when it came to our emotions.
I knew in my heart she was my person, but I still got nervous from things I went through in the past. No heartbreak was worse than thinking you’d found your forever, just for her to turn the proposal down.
It wasn’t in my plan to make Saturn wait years for a ring, but I’d be doing things differently this time around.
“I love you too.”
“You don’t have to say it because I said it, Mccoy.”
“I’m aware. You should know me well enough to know I wouldn’t say some shit I didn’t mean.
Especially about something this deep. I just want you to feel comfortable saying it freely.
The only reason I didn’t say it first was because I didn’t wanna overwhelm you.
I know you have a lot on your plate that you’re working through right now, so I figured I’d just show you I loved you so you wouldn’t overthink me saying it,” I admitted.
“You don’t know me as well as you think you do,” she giggled. “Had you told me you loved me, it would’ve made me feel more confident in everything. I know you’re by my side through it all, but to love me changes everything.”
Lifting her head, Saturn placed kisses on my lips and reached for my shorts.
“I thought you said you were still tired from earlier,” I joked as I grabbed her hand.
“I am. This is all about you.”
When her soft hand gripped my dick, I relaxed and let Saturn do her thing. This woman had my heart and I was eager to spend each day showing her how appreciative I was.
