Chapter Five – Mike #3
To push her over the edge, to feel her lose it while beneath me, I slipped a hand between us, curving that hand over her clit, which I pinched and started to rub, surrounding it with two fingers.
If she knew how to make me erupt, I knew the same shortcuts for her.
I held myself up with one hand while I touched her with the other, and all the while I continued to fuck her nice and hard.
It was what she wanted: hard. Semi-violent. She was not a sweet, tender touch kind of girl. Maybe it went back to that dark side, and that dark side dictated what she found pleasurable.
Laina’s eyelids slammed shut, and she sucked in a hard breath. I could feel her lower half tensing up with the inevitable release on its way. Her clit swelled under my attention, and soon enough she lost it.
She cried out, her chest heaving, and her body spasmed, even her inner core. I felt it happen, and I didn’t stop rubbing her clit until the orgasm was done and she fell from the high it brought. By the time I pulled my hand out from between us, she was nothing more than a body full of ecstasy.
Hearing her, watching her, and feeling her come—it all helped lead me to my second orgasm of the night.
I thrusted into her deeply, filling her up as much as her pussy allowed.
My body pierced hers, and though I’d just come inside her mouth, somehow my body had more to give.
More cum shot out of me, filling up her core as pleasure once again exploded within me, and every part of me hummed with spent desire.
We didn’t stop after that. No, when she was in my bed, we became animals. She told me what to do, what she wanted, and I gladly followed her instruction. We had each other in every position, and by the time we were finished, it was well into the next day, though the sun hadn’t yet risen.
Laina fell asleep first, and I held her body against mine, content with the way her chest rose and fell against mine.
She was a mess, but she was beautiful all the same.
I kissed the top of her head and then shut my eyes, letting sleep take me for however long it needed me.
She would be mine most of the day again, and I planned on spending the majority of it right here in this bed with her.
I didn’t dream. My sleep was nothing but a black void—which I welcomed. Sometimes my dreams were not all too fun. I’d been through a lot, done an awful lot, and sometimes those crazy days in my life resurfaced in the form of dreams, only the dreams did not accurately depict reality.
What if instead of me, Viper would’ve gotten shot that day the Bloody Princess’s men tried to kill us?
What if he couldn’t pull through? What if the Bloody Princess would have killed us all, because Lola couldn’t take her down?
What if the city was overtaken by a citizen militia who wanted to go to war against Lola and everything she stood for?
So many times I put myself in danger, and I did it without a second thought. Things turned out well, but now that I had someone, now that I had Laina, I couldn’t help but wonder if my luck was going to run out.
I used to not care about my life too much. If I died, I died. After all, everyone died eventually. Now… things were different. I was different. Time and Laina had united to change the very fabric of who I was, who I wanted to be. Being a loyal subordinate wasn’t the only thing I wanted anymore.
I wanted a life with Laina, and as strange as it was for me to admit this, I didn’t know what kind of life we would have in this city.
Hours later, when the sun was shining through the window to the point where I could not roll over and ignore it, I carefully got out of bed and headed downstairs after throwing on some clothes. It was late, practically almost lunch time, but that didn’t stop me from making us a huge breakfast.
Eggs. Pancakes. Bacon. I knew what she liked to eat in the morning by now, just like I knew she preferred to have loads of whipped cream and chocolate chips with her pancakes. The girl had a sweet tooth, that’s for sure. She could probably live on straight sugar if she wanted to.
I poured her some orange juice—the pulp-free kind, because she hated pulp—and then brought a breakfast tray upstairs for her, packed to the brim.
I’d have to go back downstairs for mine, but treating her to breakfast in bed, especially after a super late night of fucking, was always something I enjoyed doing.
I hated to use Fang’s chosen nickname for her, but she was my princess, too.
Laina stirred the moment I entered the room, yawning and opening her eyes as she rolled over. By the time I made it to the side of the bed, she was in the process of sitting up and stretching, which allowed me to place the tray on her lap.
“It looks so good, Mike,” she said, angling her face up at me and giving me a groggy smile.
I couldn’t help it; I had to kiss that tired smile right off her face. “I’ll be right back with mine.”
Less than five minutes later, I was sitting on the foot of the bed with my own tray, eating and watching Laina do the same.
She was never coy or overly feminine in how she ate, and sometimes she even chewed with her mouth open.
I didn’t mind. I actually found the way she shoveled food into her mouth oddly adorable.
“So,” Laina broke the silence of the bedroom, pausing only to take a sip from her orange juice, “what’s the plan for today? Are we going anywhere, or are we going to have a lazy day in bed?” Based on the way she said the second part, I could tell she’d be more than fine with said lazy day.
It’d been a long time since I had her to myself for longer than an hour or two, so having her here with me all day sounded like heaven, and I told her that—only in less words: “A lazy day sounds fun. Let’s not limit ourselves to the bed, though.”
Her cheeks flushed, another thing which I found stupidly cute. She could get up to nasty things with me, and yet still blush like that.
Laina was just about done with her food when her phone rang. I set my tray aside and searched for it among her clothes on the floor, and once I found it, I pulled it out of the pocket on her sweats and handed it to her. A quick glance told me who was calling.
Kieran.
Didn’t that asshole know she was mine today? Laina might want to have all of us together, doing things to her, but that was not on my bingo card today.
She saw it was him and answered the call, “Kieran. Why are you calling at this ungodly hour?” He must’ve said something he thought was witty, because Laina chuckled. “Well, okay, it’s not ungodly, I guess, but some of us had a late night—”
Then she stopped and must’ve listened to whatever it was he had to say.
I was slow in sitting on the bed and watching her expression change. Her pink eyes widened, her lips parted somewhat. Her eyebrows even lifted. A shock, whatever it was, and then her expression changed: eyes narrowed, lips tugged into a frown, and her brows creased. Shock had turned into annoyance.
“You’re sure?” she asked Kieran. “Okay. I’ll go warn my dad. See if you can find out what the hell she’s up to.” She ended the call and met my eyes, and I had the feeling I already knew what this was about.
Still, I didn’t say a word, waiting for her to confirm my suspicions.
“Tessa’s back,” she said, the words landing with a weight they had no right to carry. A few seconds of silence as she seemed to reckon with that fact.
“What are we going to do?” I asked quietly. She’d tried to deal with Tessa on her own, get her to leave the city by threatening her, and it clearly didn’t work. I knew my girl had a dark side, but if she said the word, I would be happy to take Tessa to the pier and introduce her head to a bullet.
Tessa would’ve had Laina killed. I wasn’t a fan of violence against women, but that was not something I could ever forgive. If she would’ve had her way, Laina and I would never have met, and that angered me, made me furious in a way nothing else in this world could.
Laina got up, and she hurriedly slipped on her clothes. “Need to go see my dad, tell him the news. Maybe we should hang with him today and make sure Tessa doesn’t try anything.”
Hanging out with her dad wasn’t something I’d enjoy too much, but if she was that worried about him that my presence in the house would make her feel better, then that’s what we’d do.
Once she was dressed, she grabbed her things.
We were out of the house soon after that—I’d have to clean up the trays later, once things had calmed a bit.
Right now, it was clear her only priority was to reach her dad and make sure Tessa hadn’t already tried something with him.
At the rate that woman went the last time she was in the city, I wouldn’t put anything past her.
I didn’t trust her. Someone like that you couldn’t trust an ounce.
Tessa had worn out her welcome a long time ago, and now that Laina’s inner darkness had gotten a taste of what it was like, I didn’t think she’d let the woman walk away again. No, whether she was aware of it or not, Tessa had signed her own death warrant by returning.
That woman’s life ticked toward its doom, and she didn’t even know it.
