Chapter 5
“Ha! Ha! Ha! You have whipped cream on your
nose.” Foster said as he wiped the white substance from Jabari’s
face.
It had been a fantastic week with Jabari so
far. The first two days, the man had insisted Foster rest, but they
spent that time talking and getting to know each other better.
Foster couldn’t remember laughing so hard in his life at some of
the stories Jabari had told him. He still laughed when he thought
of the time Jabari had first come into his magic and kept zapping
his father’s ass to the point he burned a hole in his pants, and
his father was talking to his men with his ass hanging out of
them.
Jabari gently taking his hand and bringing
the white tip of Foster’s fingers to his lips had Foster coming out
of his thoughts, and the laughter turning to something else
entirely. When Jabari wrapped those plump lips around his finger
and slowly suckled the cream from it, the sensation went straight
to Foster’s cock. “Oh, fuck me.”
“Any time you wish.” Jabari rasped once he
let go of Foster’s finger.
Foster sighed like a fanboy meeting his
idol, his voice going low and gravelly, “We’ll get there, but we
both agreed to get to know each other more before we take that
step.”
Jabari took Foster’s hand and started walking down
the cobbled street once more. Atlantis truly was amazing. It was so
bright, which really had surprised Foster when he first walked
outside. It was like a city in coral reef with both shape and
color. The way the colorful polyp style homes and businesses
connected and overlapped with each other, and the snakelike coral
formations served as bridges connecting one side of Atlantis to
another. The reds, yellows, burnt oranges and greens made Atlantis
so beautiful as well as enchanting.
The streets were like a cobblestone of
shells and other ocean floor pieces. Between the color, lighting,
and natural creation of Atlantis, Foster was in awe. The only thing
that pissed him off was the way these people looked at Jabari.
The first time Foster had seen someone
walking along the road, he had called out a “hello.” The man had
turned to say something, seen Jabari and pursed his lips, then
turned away. Foster sneered muttering, “Bastard.”
Jabari squeezed Foster’s hand and just kept
walking. However, Foster continued to watch as mothers would take
their children’s little hands and cross the street when they saw
Jabari, and some businesses actually turned their open signs to
closed.
When they walked past a small park and a
woman hissed to another, “That vile creature is coming our way.
Watch the children,” Foster had endured enough and started to say
something.
Jabari shook Foster’s hand lightly, softly saying,
“Ignore them, mate. It’s not worth ruining our day.”
“Bullshit! You’ve done nothing to deserve
the way these people treat you, and it’s not only disgusting, but
completely uncalled for. I bet if they were attacked, these people
wouldn’t be walking away from you and warning their children the
boogeyman is coming, so much as running towards you begging you to
save their children.” Foster snapped loud enough bring attention to
them.
Jabari took Foster’s face in his hands,
softly saying, “Let it go, my mate. Do not allow them to disrupt
our glorious day. I don’t care what any of them think of me. I only
care about what you think of me.”
Foster wanted to argue, but seeing the
imploring look from his mate, his anger deflated. “It’s just not
fair, Jabari. You’re a good man. You’re sweet, kind and caring.
You’re funny, loving, honest, loyal, and so many more adjectives
than I can come up with. You and your family have done so much for
these people and it just isn’t right.” Sighing heavily, Foster
whispered, “But for you I’ll let it go.”
Jabari lightly kissed Foster, softly saying,
“Thank you. Now are you tired and ready to go home, or would you
like to see what the walls beyond Atlantis have to show you?”
Foster thought a moment and was surprised
that he wasn’t tired. If anything he was energized. “I would love
to see whatever you wish to show me. But how can we do that? It’s
not like I can breathe underwater.”
Smiling, Jabari replied, “Not true. You are
under the magic of Atlantis, my mate. Trust me, you will breathe
just fine.”
Knowing that he could trust Jabari, Foster smiled
and nodded. “Then let’s go explore your world.”
* * * *
“What’s that?” Foster asked as he looked at a
large archway that kind of reminded him of something you might see
in Greek architecture.
“That is the entry both in and out of Atlantis.
It is the magic of my home, I guess you could say, and as you can
see it is guarded well here as well on the other side. It is the
only way in and out of Atlantis.” Jabari explained.
Foster’s eyes widened, “Are you serious?”
Nodding, Jabari stated, “I am very serious.
Poseidon wanted his lady love and her people as protected as he
could make them, and a single entrance was the way to go. It gave
us one location to focus on and it also made it extremely difficult
for outsiders to discover us, even by accident.”
Watching the ten men standing on either side of
the arch as well as one directly in front of it was a bit
intimidating. They were all huge and—minus the red uniform—kind of
reminded Foster of the Queen’s Guards of England. “Are these your
men?”
“Yes. Many of the men that guard Atlantis have
been doing so for a millennium or more.” Jabari stated with
pride.
“A thousand years? That’s insane! Wow.” Foster
gasped, then looked at Jabari. “Should I even ask how old you
are?”
Jabari laughed. “Let’s just say I hope you’re
into older men.”
Foster smiled, “Since I never had any experience
with men, young or old, I can’t say, but as old as you are, I have
a feeling you will be a great teacher in the art of
lovemaking.”
The heat in Jabari’s gaze left no doubt as to
what Jabari was thinking about. He gently ran his thumb down
Foster’s right cheek, asking, “Will I be your first, my mate? Is
that what you’re saying? Because I have to tell you, knowing I will
be the only man to ever know the sounds you make in the thrall of
pleasure, and the look on your beautiful face when you come in my
arms, is making me yearn for that time even more now than before...
and trust me, I have wanted nothing more than to have you in every
way since the moment I found you.”
A whimpering sound almost startled Foster until
he realized the sound was coming from him. How the hell was Foster
supposed to ignore that look and deep gravelly tone of his mate?
They were supposed to be getting to know each other. That was what
Foster had insisted on. Now he was questioning that decision. All
he wanted to do was grab a hold of this man and beg him to take him
now.
Before Foster could say anything, Jabari tugged
at Foster’s hand, “Come my mate. Let me show you beauties of which
you have never seen.”
Foster did as Jabari said and walked towards the
arches. He just hoped that none of the guards could see his raging
hard-on right now. It would have been really embarrassing. However,
if they did they had given no indication to him, and for that
Foster was grateful.
“Like I already told you, the arch is great
magic. Anyone that steps from this side to the other will be given
the ability to breathe under water just as when we return, the arch
will transform you so that you can once again breathe within
Atlantis.” Jabari explained.
“What about the water temperature? Won’t it be
cold?” Foster asked.
Shaking his head, Jabari replied, “The arch will
take care of all of that, my mate. Are you ready?”
Foster was nervous. What if the arch only worked
for the Atlanteans? Foster wasn’t one of them, he was human. Then
he shook off his reservations. Jabari wouldn’t lead him to his
doom. If anything, Jabari would never have even suggested this if
he felt harm would come to Foster. He didn’t know why he had such
faith in Jabari, but he did, and that was why he stepped up to the
arch and nodded. “I’m ready.”
The guard in front of the arch didn’t even
acknowledge that they stood there. Jabari gave the man a sharp nod,
and without blinking or speaking, the man stepped to the side.
Jabari stood Foster in front of him with his
hands on his mate’s shoulders. “Just walk through and all will be
well.”
Foster’s eyes widened when he looked at the
darkness in front of him. Tentatively, Foster lifted his hand, then
pushed it through to the other side, gasping as a wetness
encompassed his hand. He pulled back and was shocked to see it was
completely dry. “This is amazing.” Foster whispered in awe.
Jabari leaned in and kissed behind Foster’s
neck, whispering, “If you think this is amazing wait until you see
what is behind the gates.
Taking in a deep breath, Foster let it out
slowly, then without anymore hesitation, closed his eyes and
stepped through the arch.
He felt the cool wet feeling of water flowing on
him, over him and around him the moment he was on the other side.
Jabari whispered in his ears in a deep almost growling voice, “Open
your eyes, my mate. Open your eyes and see the wonders Atlantis has
to offer you.”
The second Foster opened his eyes, he couldn’t
stop his intake of breath, and for a moment, he freaked out because
he didn’t get a lungful of water. He ignored Jabari’s laugh from
behind him and took in the gorgeous sight before him. “So much
color! I never would have imagined there would be such color so
deep on the ocean floor.”
Jabari replied in that same tone that was
seriously going to cause Foster’s cock some damage with as hard as
it was getting, “It was a gift from Poseidon to Cleito. He wanted
her to love the ocean as much as he did. It must have worked, since
they had five children during their time together.”
Foster smiled, “Who would have known you all
were such romantics, because I have to tell you I would have given
him kids too if he had gifted me with such beauty.” And holy shit
was it ever beautiful. There was actual coral as far as the eye
could see, which was amazing in itself, because everyone knew one
of the biggest things coral needed to even exist was sunlight, and
there wasn’t a single ray of that, which could touch the bottom of
the ocean floor... especially with as deep as they were.
Angel fish, blue butter fish, and cherub fish
swam around with rose fish, red fish and so many others that no
amount of shark week or the geographic channel could help him with.
There were different species of smaller sharks, stingrays, and
eels. All were swimming in, out, and around the coral with seagrass
and kelp acting as the forest of the ocean. “Just spectacular.”
“I knew you would love it.” Jabari said.
There was something different about Jabari’s
tone of voice and Foster turned to ask if he was alright, only to
gasp in surprise. Instead of the gorgeous man he had spent days
getting to know, there was a fantastic and wondrous creature of the
sea.
Foster could tell that Jabari was nervous, but
the man had nothing to fear. Jabari’s look as his Adanc didn’t make
Foster feel anything but excited, and in an odd sense... turned
on.
Slowly, Foster raised his hand and ran it over
the dark, leathery hide. “Wow, your skin is so soft.”
Jabari’s eyes widened at Foster’s words, but
Foster couldn’t say more than that at the moment. Slowly he touched
Jabari’s sharp chin and fangs, then ran a finger over first one
horn, then the other, smiling when Jabari shivered. Touching the
tips of each ear and then looking into his mate’s deep golden eyes,
Foster rasped, “You are magnificent. I know I keep saying that word
and so many others like it, but Jabari, you are a truly magnificent
shifter and man. I can’t wait to meet your Charonte as well.”
Jabari lifted his arm and Foster realized his
mate didn’t really have arms, but more like bat wings. Gasping, in
surprise, Foster asked, “Can I touch them?”
“Of course, Foster. There is nothing you can’t
do to me.”
Smiling, Foster replied, “I have no doubt there
might be a thing or two, but lucky for you, I’m not into that kind
of thing.”
Jabari gave a soft laugh that turned into
another moan as Foster ran his hand over the wings, and then lifted
the sharp talons to look at, saying, “I would hate to be on the
receiving end of one of these.”
“I would never hurt you.” Jabari instantly
replied.
Foster looked up, saying, “I know that without
question.”
A loud bugling sound had both Foster and Jabari
looking up. Foster gasped as three huge fucking shadows came closer
to them. He was about to ask Jabari what that was, when Jabari
grabbed Foster and pulled him behind his back. Foster didn’t know
what those things were, but fuck if he wasn’t ready to piss
himself, and tried to remember one thing he would see when he was
allowed to go outside his parents’ home and lay on the chaise
lounge chair... you never peed in the pool, even if that pool was
the Atlantic Ocean.
