Chapter 17 Ra’odah

Chapter seventeen

Ra’odah

The thought of producing a child without scientific intervention carried me through the next few days, and both Olzi and Logan were almost too excited about it, as if the thought of pregnancy turned them on more. I’d told them I needed to think about it, and thinking about it was all I did.

It made me unbelievably hot for them, which was a little embarrassing to admit, so I simply told them I might be interested in pursuing a scientific study on the compatibility of our species.

It was better than trying to repeat the dirty things that Logan kept repeating to me as he thrust in deep, anyway.

My days were still spent at the medical lab, dealing with patients who had been injured or burned during the evacuation, and getting our makeshift hospital set up, but as soon as I was done, I raced back to our little pod and found myself in their arms. The men were a little bored, though, and always around when I had a moment free.

Which was why I was surprised to find them not there when I went to get some lunch.

It was the first time since we’d landed that I had found myself in the makeshift cafeteria alone, staring around at the clatter of plates and the echo of conversation and realizing that I had become quite accustomed to standing between Logan and Olzi.

The two men provided me with companionship, without the pressures of social interactions, mostly because I knew they cared for me.

If I remained quiet, they carried on the conversation as if I was still part of it.

The friendly bickering, laughter, and flirting were the background noise of my life now, and I was surprised to find that I missed it the instant it was gone.

Logan had sent me a message letting me know they were working on a repair project at the main palace. I knew they were happy for a chance to do something, so I was determined to be okay eating lunch alone. Hell, I’d eaten lunch alone for most of my life. What was the big deal?

The cafeteria was a human-made structure, installed by the Earth military, who were helping more than I would have expected.

The humans seemed to take it in stride, and Logan had mentioned that they had a long history of helping refugees in trouble.

The cafeteria wasn’t much to look at, a fabric tent used for portable temporary needs, complete with a row of cooking appliances, but it had become the hub of social interactions, at least for now.

A row of portable cooking appliances lined one side of the room, and Aunga’ri and human cooks worked side-by-side to create meals from ingredients that were readily available on Earth and not likely to cause allergic reactions.

It turned out that real food was way more flavorful and nuanced than the food that came from an Aunga’ri food printer.

From the spices and seasonings to the richness of the fats, I could lose myself in the tastes of human food.

“Chocolate cake for lunch. Bold move.” At the sound of a friendly voice, I glanced up, finding Mia and Nora in front of me, smiling. I wasn’t sure which one had spoken, but I gave them a little nod, then looked down at my plate and frowned.

“Is this not a lunch food? Why would they serve it at lunch?”

“I think in these circumstances, we’re going to consider it lunch food,” Nora said, laughing. “Really, it’s a dessert, like a treat for special occasions.”

Mia rolled her eyes. “Nora is too disciplined. It’s a treat for any time you need a pick-me-up. You looked a little lost.”

“I suppose I rely on Logan and Olzi and their constant, inane chatter,” I said. “I’m an introvert, and this is a lot.”

“Come sit with us. You can tell us how the guys are driving you crazy,” Mia said, laughing.

She reached for the table and grabbed a piece of cake herself, and a bowl of red soup with vegetables in it.

Nora took the same, and I followed them to a table, not sure I wanted to talk to them. Though they were quite nice, really.

“Are they supposed to drive me crazy?” I asked.

“I mean, yesterday, they were messing with my microscopes and I couldn’t concentrate, and then they…

” I trailed off, blushing, as I remembered the way Logan had held my hips as he drove his big cock into me again and again, up against the lab table.

“Well, part of it, I enjoyed. But still. I need to focus.”

Nora snorted. “Mine need things to do, otherwise they want to fuck nonstop. Which is admirable, and fun, but no good when you’re trying to handle a bunch of meetings.”

Mia chuckled. “I’m the one who needs something to do in my relationship. I used to be a researcher. Now I’m just following three horny men around. It’s going to drive me crazy if I never use my brain.”

“Maybe you could join me in the labs?” I asked, feeling a bit more hopeful. “And Nora can find things for Olzi and Logan to do?” I frowned, feeling the pull of Logan. He’d settled on a rather ridiculous visualization tool, a drawing of a giant hook that sort of tugged me toward him.

“I’d love that,” Mia said, but I was already distracted.

“Sorry, Logan’s coming,” I said, flushing a little at how easily I was swayed by his ability to call me to him.

My body heated all over as I felt more of him.

He was aroused, looking for me for the thing he needed the most, and I couldn’t resist it.

I picked up my chocolate cake and smiled apologetically at the girls, heading in the direction I sensed he was coming from.

The wide smile that spread across his face made me forget my irritation and quicken my steps, and soon he was swinging me around, giving me a raunchy kiss, right in the middle of the makeshift gravel road between the palace and the massive field of landing pods.

“Missed you,” he said.

“Where’s Olzi?”

He glanced back over his shoulder. “He was hungry, so he’s going to grab us some food and meet back at the pod, if that works.”

“Works for me,” I said, surprised at how happy I was to be able to sit in privacy and eat with my men instead of socializing.

My men. Were they that? Really?

Logan must have heard that thought, because he leaned down and whispered in my ear. “We are that.”

And I couldn’t help myself, sneaking a look around to make sure we were alone before tugging him behind a pod and groping the part of him I was most possessive of.

His hips rocked forward, grinding against my touch, and I felt him harden for me, reminding me of the thing I’d been most worried about telling him.

I glanced up, meeting his eyes. “I have that medical experiment I want to work on.”

“One that involves my dick? Which would that be?” His eyes sparkled as he pursed his lips, pretending not to know.

I laughed, but still didn’t let go of him. There was something about holding him captive like this that made me power-hungry and aroused. “Sort of. I want you to breed me after all.”

“Fuck,” he whispered.

“I’m also interested in learning how both of you respond to anal stimulation and pleasure. A patient today asked if it was safe.”

He swallowed. “And you might as well experiment with your men,” he said gruffly.

“Yes. I can watch you closely, sense your reactions, and develop a full understanding of the type of pleasure that you receive from it.”

“Fuck,” he repeated. “Right, we need Olzi, and we need to get to the pod right now.”
