CHAPTER 15

Prakram is staring at Aashi and has tightly covered his mouth, preventing Aashi from seeing his smile. However, the enthusiasm with which Aashi is getting the work done in the room is worth seeing, and Digvijay is getting very excited about this thing.

"I don't know who the girl is, but whoever she is, she is dear to my sweetheart... Look, how is she decorating the room for her?"

After listening to Digvijay, Prakram glances at him, then shifts his gaze to his daughter. Immediately after escorting him out of the room and heading towards his own room, he begins muttering to himself.

"Try your best that you never see me taking advantage of my daughter's innocence, even by mistake, because I will kill you in the next moment. I am tolerating you; the reason behind that is only because of my Ashu.”

Today, Avishka and Padma-Vishnu are scheduled to arrive shortly, and according to the usual arrangement, the main nanny room is conveniently located close to Aashi's bedroom. Padma and Vishnu will have to stay in the servant quarter at the back of the mansion, which is much better than their old hut. He comes to his room, where Armaan is already present because he was the one who had called Armaan, and as soon as he comes to the room, he sits on his coach and, placing his ankle properly on his knee, starts looking at the list that Arman has brought.

"I have already told you that this is Aashi's third birthday, which is very special for me, so it should be celebrated very well.”

"Sir, we have made all the necessary preparations for the celebration, considering everything like it is a festival. You do not need to worry about anything. The biggest thing is that it was your requirement that Sandhya mam should not have any problem with anything; hence, the most lavish room has been booked for her."

"Hmmm… As I can see, I don't think that girl will be able to walk properly, but Aashi will cause a lot of problems if she leaves without her, so make arrangements for her to go as well."

A slight smile appears on Armaan's face, but he immediately hides his smile by bowing his head because he does not want Prakram to see his smile in any way.”

"Armaan, there is no need to smile unnecessarily. I am not the same Prakram who used to trust people easily when they showed their innocence. Now I always have doubts, and I don't need to do much to remove them. I am telling you, and you too should keep this in mind: Whenever I find anything wrong about this girl, the very next moment I should have a gun in my hand so that I can shoot her right between the eyes.”

Whatever smile there was on Armaan's face has disappeared because he knows very well that Prakram is fully prepared in his intentions; he just gives his effect. Prakram promptly leaves, fully aware of his intentions to try to save her by anything. Seeing that they will arrive in some time, Aashi is very happy and wants to welcome them, and that smile is very valuable for him. When Armaan notices Prakram departing, he speaks softly.

"I wish I could have my older brother back; I have lost it due to someone's deception in his life."

Prakram is sitting very quietly, and Padma and Vishnu have gone back to the servant quarter. But Avishka is listening very well to what Sandhya is telling her about Aashi. Aashi is holding Avishka's hand, like she will take her to her room. The excitement that Aashi has is worth seeing a lot, due to which Prakram is absolutely enjoying her happy face. He does not want to point out Avishka for anything, but he also knows very well that his daughter is an innocent little girl who does not care about fake people; she only knows how to love. She is attentively listening to everything Sandhya says, followed by Aashi's explanations.

"Avu… Let's go to your room. I decorated it with stars. They are lighting brightly."

After listening to her words, Sandhya laughs heartily and signals Avishka to go upstairs. However, she immediately tells her to look at her feet.

"I had explained to her that there is pain in your leg right now, so you will be unable to climb up, and you should be given the room downstairs for a few days, but she is not ready to listen to anything.”

Aashi looks at her grandmother with her small eyes, which are full of complaints, due to which Sandhya smiles and kisses her on the forehead. She immediately starts looking towards her Avishka, who is smiling every time with a very sweet, soft smile. She is just looking at her with a smile on her lips. She holds her hand and takes her towards the stairs.

"Avu… You told me that you never feel any pain when you are with me.”

Prakram's gaze always turns to his daughter, the source of his constant smile. Hearing her words, Avishka holds Aashi's hand tightly, holds the railing with the other hand very well, and slowly climbs the stairs with her to start going upwards. Sandhya starts looking at Avishka's feet, which clearly shows that she is in a lot of pain, but due to Ashi's insistence, she is silently moving upwards. She feels a lot of pain just after climbing two to three stairs, which even Prakram can understand very well. Sandhya starts staring at Prakram.

Because only Prakram and Aashi's rooms are on the third floor, he frequently works from there when he is at home. However, a nanny's room is also on this floor for Aashi's care, and Avishka now uses it exclusively. We must reserve it exclusively for her, as the other two nannies will now be staying downstairs. Prakram has a personal elevator, so Sandhya is staring at him because he has not shown any mercy to the girl even once and has forced her to climb the stairs. He has not asked her to go in the elevator, and if Sandhya does this without his permission, then she knows very well that he will keep this issue going for a long time. Prakram is staring at his mother, but there are no wrinkles of worry on his face. The girl is in pain, but Aashi can feel the grip of Avishka's hands very well on her hand and feel her pain. That's why she says it loudly to Avishka.

"Avu, wait here."

Both of them had only reached the third staircase when Aashi left Avishka. She immediately stood in front of her father, both hands on her waist, her innocent face slightly angry as she stared at him. Avishka is attempting to understand the situation by observing both of them, but it is completely beyond her comprehension.

“You are my superhero; then how can you hurt my Avu? Now you stand up and, like a good superhero, lift my Avu up.”

As soon as Aashi says this, Sandhya immediately walks away, laughing with her hand on her mouth, because Aashi does not yet know that there is an elevator on the third floor through which they can go up and down because Prakram often uses the stairs. He uses it because he is a fitness freak, and he uses the elevator for very urgent purposes when he is in a hurry and has to go straight to his office. As soon as she hears Aashi's words, Avishka's eyes become very big behind her veil, but Prakram looks at Avishka and picks Aashi up in his lap, causing her to start screaming loudly.

"We need to lift Avu; I don't want to."

"Call your Avu here.”

"She's in pain, and if she walks more, she'll feel more pain."

Prakram says this to Avshika while rolling his eyes at his daughter's words.

"Follow me."

Aviksha walks slowly behind him with her head bowed, and as soon as he opens the gate at the bottom of the staircase, Aashi starts watching everything very well. They go into the elevator and reach the third floor. Upon seeing this, Aashi smiles, claps, spreads her arms around her father's neck, jumps on his lap with excitement, and begins a conversation with Avishka.

"Now I do say that my father is a superhero.”

Aashi kisses her father's cheek and swiftly leaps to Avishka's side. Avishka, who was already limping, was unprepared for this and wobbled even more as a result of Aashi's jump. As a result, Avishka loses her balance, but she manages to catch hold of Aashi, causing her to fall heavily onto the ground. She firmly embraces Aashi to her chest, preventing any injuries from the impact of the fall.

“Aaashiii….”

Prakram's voice suddenly echoed there; everything happened so quickly that he couldn't make any judgments. He first looks at his daughter very well, and Avishka puts her hands on her head. She is attempting to sit, but her dupatta has fallen completely off. Prakram suddenly looks at her; it's the first time he's seen her face without any barriers, and his eyes remain fixed on hers. Even when he saw her on the hospital bed, Padma might have covered half of her face with hair to conceal her identity. He had not seen any specific picture of her on Facebook or Instagram. He had seen a blurry picture of her on Armaan's mobile, and at that time he was very angry, so he did not consider it necessary to look at the picture more carefully. She sits suddenly with her hands on her head and starts checking Aashi carefully, having no idea that the dupatta has completely been removed from her face and has fallen down.

"Ashi, are you okay?"

"I am sorry."

Aashi quickly realizes her mistake, causing tears to well up in her eyes, but Avishka immediately embraces her and begins to love her deeply. She completely loses sight of Prakram. She is unable to make any guesses, as her full focus is solely on Aashi. Aashi has always observed her covering her face with a scarf; as a result, she smiles and carefully places the dupatta on her head. Avishka smiles very carefully, as does Aashi. She lifts her onto her lap and asks her a question.

"Come on, show me your decorated room."

Avishla limps away from there with Aashi, but Prakram is still watching her go and suddenly utters a word.

"Beautiful….”
