CHAPTER 22
Prakram swiftly accelerated the car away from the scene. As a result, Avishka, who was holding Aashi in her lap, was frightened. However, as soon as Aashi had her lower lip out, Avishka realized she was about to cry. In response, she affectionately patted Aashi and took her inside.
"Papa is just a little angry, but you tell me yourself, what is wrong with Papa being angry? Someone said something to Aashi, and she accepted it, going outside by herself and jumping into the swimming pool. What would have happened if Aashi's Avu hadn't arrived? ... You scared me too... Is Aashi a bad girl?"
"Avu is Aashi's mom, and she loves her very much... If Aashi is a bad child, then Aashi's mother will make her good."
Avishka knows that it is very important to make Aashi understand at this time, but before she can say anything, she feels Padma's very loving hand on her head. Avishka immediately turns towards her, smiling, and her saree falls from her head. As a result, Vishnu starts smiling and looking at her very lovingly.
"God only knows why you want to keep yourself hidden, but the truth is that you are very beautiful, and I want to see you smiling like this, enhancing your beauty... May God bless you... ”
When Padma lovingly tells her all this, Avishka is unable to tell her anything, nor does she try to hide her face from her because everyone is asleep, and at this time all the bodyguards there are also standing outside. Avishka looks around but doesn't see many people there, so Padma stays with her.
"Sandhya madam was not feeling well at the party itself as soon as she learned about Aashi, but she managed to end the party with a fake smile. As soon as she got home, she just took her BP tablet, and Sir forced her to take her to a room for rest; otherwise, she was waiting for Aashi. Sir assured her that she was with his father, so please relax. Madam's health had become very bad; hence, sir was also angry.”
Avishka nods her head and smiles as she looks at Padma, who is just staring at her.
"You look very beautiful in a saree, Avi.”
Avishka is not in a position to say anything to her because she does not want to say anything here because she is already disgusted by her beauty, but Padma, who is like her mother, praises her beauty, and if she is happy seeing her, then she is inexplicable, so she doesn't want to stop her from being happy. Aashi knows very well that even now Avishka often has problems walking, so she gets down from her lap and herself runs towards the stairs. Both Avishka and Padma follow her because they both know she does a lot of drama before sleeping, so Padma does not want to tire Avishka further by leaving her alone at this time.
After coming into Aashi's room, Padma starts taking out Aashi's night suit from the cupboard, while Aashi runs away and tries to play with Avishka because she was very bored at the party, so now she feels like playing. She is having a great time because Avishka is merely pretending to catch her as she runs around on her own bed. After playing like this for 15 to 20 minutes, Avishka immediately catches her and tells her.
"Now there is no mischief; change your clothes quickly and sleep like a good child."
"Papa..."
"He will come soon; now go to sleep."
"I don't want to sleep alone."
"Well, I am here until your father comes, okay?"
"Yes.... After all, the mother always stays with the children."
Padma immediately starts looking at Avishka and Aashi, due to which Avishka is also in a strange situation. Avishka tells her while making her sit beside her as she wants to change her clothes.
"Aashu, whatever Aunty told you is wrong; it does not happen.”
"Meaning…"
"It means nothing special; just understand that I am not your mother."
"I don't have to think that you are not my mother because I know that you are my mother."
Padma understands very well that perhaps Aashi has some misunderstanding due to which she has become stubborn, so she takes her close to her and explains to her.
"Aashi, Aviksha is telling the truth; she is not your mother, but your nanny. Your mother will be the lady who marries your father."
Blinking her eyes, Aashi sometimes tries to look at Padma and sometimes at Avishka, and then immediately tells Padma.
"Then tell Avu to marry my father.”
On hearing this, the eyes of both of them get big because, while both of them are trying to make her understand, after understanding, she is saying something else. Avishka draws her close to herself and explains the situation.
"It doesn't happen; neither will I do this nor will Papa do this; now there is no need to say much... Understand this thing. I am not your mother; I am your Avu, and I am happy about that. Second thing, now no mischief... Just sleep quietly.”
After completing her words, Aviksha looks at her carefully, and then she touches her head because she feels a little bit feverish, and Aashi just starts looking at her with tears in her eyes. Avishka informed Padma.
“Ma, she's suddenly developed a fever. What happened suddenly?”
"It was inevitable; initially, she fell into the cold water. Subsequently, she consumed two to three ice creams less than usual, all while hiding from her father. She approached her grandfather to request ice cream. Next, she approached her grandmother to request ice cream. Finally, she informed Papa that all three of them were unaware that they had each given her an ice cream separately."
"Aashi…"
But Aashi's focus is not on the fact that someone is complaining about her or that she has been caught in whatever mischievous thing she did, but rather on the fact that the mother for whom she was happy to become her daughter is not ready at all to be her mother. She quietly lies down on her bed and starts crying softly, which is very unusual because usually she starts crying very loudly, but the way she is sobbing this time is completely different.
“Aashi…”
Due to her fever, Avishka has become very emotional, and she immediately takes her in her arms and hugs her in a motherly embrace. Aashi likes it very much, but she is still sobbing.
“Maa, quickly ask Sir and Madam about her medicines.”
"But madam is already unwell; she must have slept, and sir can get very angry.”
"So call her father and ask him."
Padma quickly pulls out her phone, loaded with the numbers of her three masters, and tries to call Prakram, but he doesn't answer. She tries again, but again, he is not picking up the phone.
"His father has not picked up the phone."
"So, call Aashi's other nanny and bring her here; she will know about her medicines."
Aashi is listening to all of Avishka's words, and she feels very good about how much Avishka loves her. She tells her immediately.
"Avu is my mother."
Avishka doesn't want to share anything with her at the moment, so she believes it's best to keep quiet. However, as the fever rises, Aashi's restlessness is also becoming more unusual, which is beginning to worry her. Avishka is holding her in her lap. She begins to roam around the room and immediately picks up the phone. She starts calling her father again and again, but Prakram is not picking up the phone. It's been a long time since Padma left, but she hasn't returned. As a result, she can't understand anything, so she tries to communicate with Aashi.
"Aashi… I have inspected your entire room and tried searching everywhere again. I am not able to find any of your medicines. Can you tell me where you store your medicines?
"Papa…"
Aashi remains silent, which is why Avishka approaches Prakram's room, cradling her in her arms. She doesn't want to go to his room, but she has no option left.
"Aashi, where is it stored?
Aashi points to her with her finger, which is Prakram's cupboard. She opens Prakram's cupboard to retrieve her medicines, and as she does so, she notices the well-labeled quantity of each medicine. She takes the medicine for fever, pours it into the cap of the medicine bottle, and quickly feeds her. After giving her the medicine, she brings her back to her room and tries to make her lie down on the bed, but she holds her tight and hugs her, saying this in her sleep.
"Mumma..."
Padma comes there, and trouble is clearly visible on her face.
"I have been knocking on both of their rooms for so long, but neither of them is ready to open the door... They are sleeping like logs.”
"Don't worry, I have given her the medicine."
Despite giving her medicine, her fever is increasing rapidly, which is a cause for concern for them. They are both very nervous about seeing this.
"Maa, quickly bring ice in cold water, and I will place cold strips on her head; she will feel some relief."
Padma leaves from there without any delay, and she has a good look at Avishka, whose sleep is far away from her eyes. Aashi is reclining on her lap. Despite trying all night, Aashi's fever isn't going down, and Avishka is sitting all night with a cold strip on her head. It's morning, but Aashi's fever is not going down at all. Padma, too, is exhausted and has fallen asleep on the floor, but it seems as if sleep has disappeared from Avishka's eyes completely; she is only concerned about Aashi.
When Prakram comes into the room in the morning, he is completely surprised to see his daughter in this condition, and he immediately calls her.
"Aashi…
After hearing her father's words, Aashi, who was unable to sleep due to a fever, quickly tries to open her eyes, sits up, and just extends her hands towards her father instead of getting up from the bed. Without any delay, Prakram immediately approaches her, takes her in his arms, and begins to question her, his face displaying worry.
"What happened, my love?"
Padma, who has suddenly woken up hearing Prakram's voice, sits down and immediately tells Prakram.
"We had called you a lot, then we gave her medicine from where Aashi told us, but there was no significant difference in the fever, so we were not able to understand that after how many hours we should give her the medicine again, so Avishka sat here the whole night to place cold strips on her forehead to subside the fever."
After information, Prakram checks his phone carefully, in which there are many phones of them, and starts taking his daughter from there so that he can take her to his room and give her the medicine again, but Aashi is holding the end of her saree, due to which the saree suddenly comes off her head, and Prakram also stops with a jerk. Aashi is holding her saree tightly. Prakram turns, catches sight of Avishka, and informs her.
"When you know that Aashi wants to be with you, you should always be with her. Keep this in mind: if my daughter likes you very much, then always stay with her."
He suddenly holds her forearm; she still doesn't have her saree on her head, and he starts taking her towards his room, holding Aashi with one hand and Avishka with the other. She is almost running at his speed. He immediately retrieved the medicine from a hidden corner of his dressing room, handed Aashi to her, and said,
"Hold Aashi carefully; this medicine is bitter, so I keep it hidden because Aashi throws it down the drain as soon as she finds it. It has a beneficial effect on her fever because it does not go down easily."
Aashi opens her small eyes, catches sight of the medicine, and immediately begins to cry due to its bitter taste. Avishka holds her very well, and Prakram holds her mouth and starts giving her the medicine with so much care. Both Avishka and Prakram are making every effort to calm her during this period, but Aashi's constant crying and thrashing of her hands and legs are making things difficult. After exerting a great deal of effort, Aashi manages to take the medicine with great difficulty, but her crying persists. As a result, Avishka begins to caress her affectionately and begins to walk with her in her lap very lovingly.
"It's okay, Aashi... You are a very good girl... This medicine will cure Aashi quickly."
It seems that she is not paying any attention to the fact that the saree has been removed from her head; she forgot to cover her face, and Prakram's eyes are following her wherever she is roaming while sitting on the couch like a king. Aashi is still holding her saree tightly, due to which she cannot hide her face at all by keeping the saree on her head, but she is trying her best to hide her face, due to which she is not looking at Prakram. He was trying to move around with her back turned towards him.
Prakram has also looked at his daughter many times because he knows that this medicine will bring down her fever. His eyes turn, taking a good look at Avishka's long hair. He is not fond of looking at anyone, but he feels like he is admiring their bond. He didn't like her presence, but the way Avishka is worried for his daughter is that she did not sleep the whole night. This situation is causing him to contemplate numerous aspects of life.
