Track 24 Wood – Audrey
AUDREY
Rainwater dripped down my hair and into my collar as Taylor’s car rolled into the lot.
The windshield wipers beat one last rhythm before he cut the engine, stepping out and circling to my side.
He opened my door without a word, the storm still echoing between us.
I leaned into him on the walk to our suite, slipping off my soaked shoes at the door before heading down the hall.
Avoiding his gaze, I reached for my doorknob like it was a lifeline.
Before I could twist it, Taylor grabbed my elbow and pulled me away and into his room.
Peeling off his shirt, he gave me an up-close view of his six-pack abs, then he grabbed the hem of my dress and pulled it over my head. Without saying a word, he unhooked my bra and pressed his mouth against mine.
The air between us still smelled like rain—charged, restless, like it knew what was about to happen.
I melted into him without hesitation.
Grabbing my hands, he silently commanded me to unbutton his jeans.
I obliged, and he pushed them down to the floor with his briefs.
He kissed his way down my neck. His hands gripped my hips as my breathing slowed, and he reached down and tore off my panties.
He gently grabbed my curls and pulled them into a messy knot atop my head. He felt completely in control—I just wanted him to do whatever he wanted to me.
Staring into my eyes, he pulled me over to his bed and laid me against the mattress.
His kisses came harder, faster, and my body trembled in anticipation as his thigh brushed mine.
He leaned over and grabbed a condom from the nightstand, slowly putting it on.
“Do you want this?” he whispered against my mouth.
I was too speechless.
“Audrey.” He kissed my lips. “Tell me…”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
He slowly inched his cock inside me, and he felt like every bad decision I’d ever wanted to make twice.
I dug my nails into his back, biting his shoulder as a mix of pain and pleasure exploded inside me.
When he was buried deep inside, he held me taut and slid his tongue deeper into my mouth, driving me wild.
He pulled out and slowly thrust back in, gently fucking me.
I couldn’t hold on for long. He felt too good, and I’d never had sex like this.
“I…I…” I shook all over, and he continued kissing me, thrusting in and out of me until I collapsed under him.
He came seconds later, but he remained over me, staring until I opened my eyes.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
I nodded.
“I need you to talk, Audrey.”
“I think we should do that again…” was all I could say, and he laughed softly and trailed a hand down my stomach before pulling me into him again.
And again.
At sunrise, sweaty and restless, I stared up at the ceiling, pulling the covers up to my chest as my mind raced with what the hell just happened between us—if all that sex could possibly be a vivid dream.
I turned over to see him sleeping and sucked in a breath.
His side of the bed still smelled like cinnamon and sin.
Oh my god…
Swallowing, I shut my eyes for several seconds, then I blinked them open.
This wasn’t a dream in the slightest.
Last night … and this morning were real. And the sex …
Slowly pulling away from him, I climbed out of his bed and rushed down the hall. With my mind racing a mile a minute, I grabbed a hoodie from my dresser and changed pants. As I was searching for a pair of tennis shoes, Taylor cleared his throat from behind.
“Going somewhere?” he asked.
“No.” I turned to face him. “No, I—yes. Yes, I’m going somewhere.”
His lips curved into a smile. “Mind if I join you?”
“Yes, I do mind.”
“Why?”
“Because I need to process the fact that I just fucked the guy who used to bully me in high school.”
“Glad you’re finally learning how to say used to.”
“Last night was a one-time thing.”
“You came far more than once.”
“That’s not what I mean.” I blushed as he eyed me like he was seconds away from asking for another round. “I meant that whatever happened will never happen again.”
“Okay, Audrey.” He smiled. “If that’s the case, then it sounds like you’ve already processed things. You should let me drive you to wherever you’re going.”
Every part of me still hummed from him, and every rational thought begged me to forget it.
Run away from him right now.
“Audrey?” The way he said my name made me want to sleep with him on the spot. “Is that a yes to letting me drive you?”
