In one season.

In what is reported to be a love match, the Earl of Clifton has wed Miss Diana Atherton. The groom rescued the bride from Baron Tuttleford’s control (We all know what happened there!), and they fled to Gretna Green.

This author is amazed. We are either all experiencing a shared dream or there really is such a thing as true love.

Personally, I believe the former. But in the event I don’t wake up and discover I imagined the whole thing, I would like to extend my felicitations to the Earl of Clifton and his new countess.
