Chapter 9

Liv's POV

There was a car waiting for me outside. I would have gone home instead of going to Highland University, but the burning rage inside of me deterred me from doing so. They needed to know they couldn't get away with everything they did.

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the school. I hated the fact that I had no choice since the Alpha was involved, which was strange.

I planned on letting the triplets know that I wasn't happy with this and forcing me into doing things I didn't want wouldn't make me forgive them.

Right outside the school was a Rolls Royce with the Alpha symbol on it. The Alpha symbol was a gold shield that had a wolf in the middle and the name of our pack, inscribed at the bottom. The shield was placed on any property owned by the Alpha's family.

Right in front of the Rolls Royce were two guards. They scanned the areas like predators and when one of them sighted me, he looked at a photo in his hand and then he informed the other guard to look at me.

He confirmed it was me from the photo which I couldn't see properly, but I knew it was me

How the hell did they get their hands on it? The triplets were taking things too far.

"Liv Anderson" he asked as if he was reciting a script.

A slow nod from me prompted him to open the door. "By the Alpha's orders, we are to take you to Highland University"

I sighed, walking in.

It was hard to believe.

There was another explanation for this because I knew there was no way the triplets would have told the Alpha they had an omega as their mate.

Or did they tell him?

Maybe they did and he respected their decision since they were going to be the Alphas soon anyway.

But what about their mother? I knew Luna Rebecca and how much she resented me. She had even ordered Mrs Yvonne to stop bringing me over to serve her because she couldn't stand me.

I knew for sure that if the triplet told their mother about our mate bond, she would do everything in her power to get rid of me.

As a woman as powerful as that, killing me was going to be a breeze for her.

While the driver drove and I had to sit between two guards, I felt my anger slowly melt away and it was replaced by complete anxiousness. We got to Highland University about 30 minutes. Both schools weren't far from the pack.

On getting to the school, I was handed a map and my schedule by the guards. They didn't even care to ask me if I wanted this. All they cared about was it was the Alpha's orders.

The big building made me tremble. On it was written, Highland University. It felt like a dream. How could an omega attend a school where gammas were rarely even allowed? I took a deep breath.

Looking at the schedule, I realized I had a class in 30 minutes and I had to locate hall B before 30 minutes.

The moment I stepped my foot inside, it felt like the world paused for a second. The look on their faces said it all. Resentment, contempt, and disbelief. Some of them were already bringing out their phones to make a call.

It was either they were calling to inform security about me or the authorities. Was this the kind of environment the triplets thought I could survive in?

I kept my head down, pulling myself into the immense anxiety I felt. I kept my gaze glued to the paper in front of me, even when I could hear what most of them said. They didn't bring their voice down because they felt I was a nobody and they could talk about me anyhow they pleased.

"Along with the rise of tuition, we have to share the school with a bloody omega?" one of them scoffed.

"Let's just take it that she lost her way because there is no way this is real!"

"Maybe she is here to apply as a janitor or she is the fucking janitor's daughter"

I refused to let all the words get to me while I scoured through the map, trying to locate hall B. After 10 gruesome minutes of searching, I found it. I was happy that I had a place to hide from all the stares until I entered the huge hall and discovered it was another hell on its own.

It was filled with people. The moment my scent went round the place, they all turned to look at me. Some were utterly dismayed, some had resentment written boldly on their face. I was certain someone took a picture of me and he shook his head as he stared at the photo in disgust.

My heart was beating out of my chest as I sat on an empty seat. The girl who was on the same row stood up quickly as she scoffed, moving to a seat as far from where I sat as possible.

"We have to fucking shared the same seats with them now!" she spat out, not caring if I heard or not.

Tears gathered in my eyes, but I blinked rapidly to curb it. Was this what the triplets wanted me to endure? Did they not think of how my life would be if I was surrounded by people who hated my type for no reason?

While most people kept their distance, thee was a black-haired guy who walked in through the door. He had headphones on and I noticed he was approaching where I was while he vibed to the music he listened to.

I thought he was going to sit on an entirely different row, but it didn't seem like that was what he was going to do.

My heart started racing when he sat down on the very seat next to me. He didn't look at me as he brought out a note which was folded in his pocket. He looked like the type who didn't give fuck about school.

He looked at me and his dark eyes made my heart skip for reasons I couldn't explain. There was no way he didn't know I was an omega. My scent was everywhere.

I watched his eyebrows furrow, and then unexpectedly, his eyes lit and his lips curved up into a small smile. He removed his headset and stretched his hand to shake mine.

"Pardon my manners, I'm Frank," he said still stretching his hands.

I looked behind us at the numerous people that were staring at us. Did he not realize I was an omega?

It took me a while to realize I was leaving him hanging. "Oh," I raised my hands to shake it. He grabbed it and then he narrowed his eyes staring, still grasping my hands firmly. It was then it occurred to me that I hadn't said my name yet.

"Oh, yeah" It felt like I had forgotten my name for a second. "Liv" I recited

His eyes glimmered with a little bit of realization. "I had a brother named that"

"Had?" I asked and watched him nod.

"I also took him as a son" he shook his head. "Too bad he ran away"

I was taken aback. "He did?"

"Yeah, I guess he didn't like associating with people anyway"

"What?"

He looked at me and the slight horror on my face. It was then it occurred to him that his story was quite disturbing. "It was a dog." He blurted out with a cheeky smile. "

I took him as a brother and a son" He added.

"Oh," I mumbled in realization. There was a brief silence and then I turned to look at him. "Aren't you bothered by the stares?" There was no way he didn't know people were staring at us.

He looked around briefly. "I think it's me. Can you see the grin on that girl's face" he said, referring to the girl who was openly glaring at me. He smiled. "She definitely wants me"

I chuckled in amusement. He was trying to make me more comfortable and I appreciated his efforts.

"Of course she is" I confirmed, still smiling and shaking my head.

"You should smile more. It suits you, rather than the fear I see in your eyes" he said, watching me closely.

"I'm not scared" I lied.

"And I'm the best student in this school"

"You are?" i asked cluelessly

He seemed taken aback, staring at me for a while, trying to figure me out. "You don't know sarcasm?" he let out in disbelief

It when then it occurred to me what he did. "Oh," I relaxed on my chair in embarrassment.

He shook his head, chuckling and then he muttered something to himself that I didn't hear.

"So what are you? An alpha's descendant, a_

"The future beta of my pack"

"That must be thrilling for you" I grinned.

A casual demeanor took over his countenance. "I wish"

The moment he said that, three familiar scents hit my senses and I stiffened that instant. I knew It was them and they weren't far from the hall I was. My predictions were true because shortly, 3 of them stormed into the hall.

I sank into my chair immediately. Frank noticed them and he frowned that instant.

"Assholes" he cursed under his breath as he gritted his teeth in anger. Two things were certain. He knew them and he didn't like them as much as I didn't.

I watched them scour through the crowd like predators looking for prey. Ryder was the first to spot me and he smiled. He informed Max who tapped Callum and in no time they were all making their way to me.

Frank hadn't realized they were approaching us. He was still trying to hold a conversation with me. "So what brought you here to be precise?" he asked, but I barely processed what he said because of the tension I felt.

They got to where we were and all of them turned to Frank. "Scram!" Ryder shot at him.

Frank was taken aback, turning to look at Ryder in particular. "If you say it nicely, maybe, just maybe I won't be tempted to punch you right in the fucking face"

"She is taken, bloody DarkSky fucker!" Max gritted.

He turned to look at me, fighting the urge not to burst into laughter "You are their mate? Blink once if you need help"

Max grabbed him by the collar instantly, glaring hard at him "What the fuck are you trying to do!" he growled.

Frank didn't hesitate, grabbing Max's collar too. There were a few murmurs and gasps from the people behind me.

With the look on Frank's face, it was certain he wanted to fight so badly.

"C'mon, even y'all know" he leaned closer to Max with a stern look on his face. "Any girl who is your mate is fucked"

"You better watch your fucking mouth!" Ryder fired.

Frank glared hard at Ryder. "Look inwardly, do you think, y'all even deserve mates?"

Callum scoffed. "You fucking want something don't you Stewart?" he growled in anger.

"You were the one who fucking asked for it!" he shot back at Callum.

Callum gave a devilish grin. "Then I guess we'd have to do it the old way then"

I noticed a change in Frank's demeanor the moment he said that. He gritted his teeth, letting go of Max's collar and glaring hard at Callum. He looked at me for a while and then he shook his head in what seemed like pity.

He sighed and left with an evident glare on his face.

"And fuck you too" Ryder spoke up as they all watched him leave.

They all turned to me. Ryder was the first to sit beside me. He cupped my chin. "Are you okay love. That fucker can be an asshole sometimes" he said softly.

That only added to the rage brewing inside of me. I lost control, bringing my hand up and smacking him right on his face as hard as I could. "You are the fucking asshole!" I screamed at him.

The few gasps I heard behind me made me realize what I had just done. I was an omega and I had just slapped an Alpha!
