Liv's POV...

The blast of cold air hit my spine. I rubbed my hands together to warm them up with a look of distraught played across my face, grabbing the bed sheet at my side and I buried my face into the pillow.

I let out a scream but I knew it wouldn't be heared since it was muffled by the thickness of the pillow.

I hit my legs on the bed repeatedly, trying to look for a means in which I could vent out my frustration.

I was losing it slowly and no one really cared.

I turned my body over, my back laid on the bed and my face staring up at the ceiling as a loud sigh escaped my lips.

Frank's face, his words, and everything about his entire existence flashed through my brain.

The strength that over powered me when I hit Frank gave me a reason to doubt if really I was an omega.

Was there more to what I was thinking? and if there was, why was lo it so difficult to unravel?.

My head was throbbing in pain, my brain racking intensely just to find answers.

If I wasn't really an omega then why were things different with me? Why did they hate me so much in the pack where I was brought up?

The resentment which filled their hearts towards me instilled me with a sickening feeling of running away with no return.

Life indeed was never predictable. I came over to the dark sky pack and I got treated with so much love that at times I almost forgot about my status but I knew that wouldn't be possible because the dirty taint of an omega would always be added to my name.

I heard the sound of a woman's heels clack along the floor. The door to my room unlatched with a moment of silence and Luna Jennie came into view.

She smiled down at me sweetly with a tiny dimple displayed at the corner of her face.

I raised my body up, jumping off from the bed and rushed towards her with my head lowered down in respect.

"You didn't have to come to me. All you had to do is send for me and I'll come running to you" I said, pursuing my lips as worry gripped my heart.

"I hope I haven't done anything wrong?" I asked in worry and waited for her to speak up.

"I only send for a person when they make a mistake or commit a crime and you haven't done any of that" she voiced out, placing her hand on my face, cupping my chin.

She continued "Liv you don't need to be scared of anything. Remember this is your home too" she smiled softly at me and that only boosted my confidence more.

"Yes, I love the way I am treated here. Everything is just so surreal, but__" I paused as my heart fell. "This isn't my home. I don't think I'd feel so comfortable"

The words I spewed out was a lie to myself because I felt more comfortable here in this pack than I felt in the place I had lived all my life.

"No" she lifted up my face. "You are welcome to stay for as long as you want and I want you to feel comfortable. Don't ever restrict your self from anything"

I knew from her statement she wanted me to stay even longer. I couldn't help but wonder why she cared for me so much even with my identity

Pressing my lips together I muttered. "Thank you Jennie" and I meant it

I waited for her to turn her back at me so I could walk her to her room but she didn't move an inch and that got me wondering what else she wanted to say to me.

"I have something for you" she gave off a quick a smile as she stretched forth her hand, opening her balled fists and revealing the pendant placed in her palm.

The brightness, details, everything about it captivated me that instant. The bright red stone which resembled a diamond was coated with gleaming gold. It was adorned by delicate gold chain that complemented the beauty of the gold lining.

It screamed both ancient luxury and power.

"Wow" I whispered with my eyes fixated on it. It felt like it's beauty had me trapped at a spot. There was no way it was just an ordinary pendant

"Take it Liv" she urged, causing my lips to slightly part in surprise.

"Whom should I give it to?" I inquired.

"You don't need to give your property to anyone. The pendant belongs to you so take it from me" Luna Jennie spoke up, my jaw dropped in disbelief. My property?

There was this overriding urge to reject the pendant but no one was ever lucky to get such a beautiful gift from a Luna of a pack.

What she was giving to me was a lot but I knew it would be disrespectful of me to reject her gift so I had no other option. Even with that, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about how oddly weird it was.

Not just her giving me a gift, but how powerful and strange the pendant looked

She sighed. "If you are so skeptical, I'll put the pendant around your neck myself" Luna Jennie said.

Her words awakened my senses and before I could utter words to her, she spun me around, drapping the pendant around my neck

"Perfect" she called out in satisfaction, patting me on the shoulder before walking out

I retreated to the dressing table and caught my reflection in the mirror. I stood admiring the pendant when my phone beeped with a text message.

"We need to talk Liv" I read out and groaned in frustration, tossing my phone to the bed.

I wasn't in the mood to talk with any of them, especially Callum. I knew he was just going to find a way to take me back home

For some reason, I disliked the way he sent out his message as though it were a command rather than a request.

If he had said 'please we need to talk' or 'can we talk?' I would have considered it. Why did he have to say it like he had every right to see me

"Not today Callum" I muttered to myself, smirking at the mirror as I admired the pendant, my finger trailing down my collar bone.

Suddenly the room opened and someone walked in. Even without turning to look, I already sensed the familiar aura. Just like I thought, as I stared through the mirror, his reflection was boldly displayed.

I turned to look at him, trying to pat my lips in a smile, but barely a muscle moved beyond my mouth.

Frank fixed his eyes on mine with a bright gaze that made my cheeks flush as though it had been burned by the sun.

I maintained eye contact with him, gnawing on my lower lip and touching it with my tongue.

My fingers caressed my pendant, treating it as the only valuable thing I had ever gotten in my life.

He gazed at the pendant and the gleam in his eyes went dim.

"Did Jennie give this pendant to you?" Frank inquired, his tone abrupt and his eyes never leaving the pendant.

A frown appeared on my face when I noticed his reaction towards the pendant hanging loosely on my neck. He had a worrisome expression tinted in his eyes.

"Yes she did. She was here in the room with me but she left some minutes before you stepped in" I answered.

"She shouldn't have" he called out, his voice mixed with some sort of rage I couldn't decipher

"Frank relax. It's just a pendant"

"You don't know for sure?"

"Am I supposed to be worried about a gift your mother gave to me Frank?" I asked folding my hands.

Staring into his eyes, I patiently waited for him to spew out what was bothering him.

"Liv" Frank muttered under his breath as his eyes travelled from the pendant to my eyes.

"Just say it already" I urged with curiosity.

He swallowed hard "Liv__" he paused for a while. "It__ it's nothing" he forced out.

I clenched my fist in anger. He was doing it again, keeping things from me

"Frank you wanted to tell me something. What is it about? Can you not hide everything from me. What the hell are you protecting me from?"

"Nothing okay, it is nothing!" he snapped

"Then tell me! Why do you have that worried look on your face? I deserve to know something if not everything"

He pinched his temple in frustration. "Can you not do this right now?"

I rolled my eyes settling in the bed. I stared blankly into space already exhausted.

"There are some things better left unsaid Liv" he said softly, but I remained silent. I was done fighting for answers.

"Why did you come here?" I asking landing my gaze on the marble tiles beneath my feet.

"Yeah" he breathed out sharply. "One of them is here to see you"

My heart skipped as I looked up at him. I knew immediately he was talking about the triplet.

"What are you talking about?"

"Calum" he blurted out. "He is outside the mansion. He won't leave without seeing you Liv"

My heart skipped
