Liv's POV...
I leaned my back on the bed rest and I placed my hand on my forehead, resting my elbow on the pillow.
I sighed in frustration, flinging my phone to the other end of the bed. If I acted as though I was happy about the turn out of events I would be lieing to myself.
Especially when it came to Frank. I had hurt him a lot by letting my mates mark me as theirs but that was meant to happen sooner or later.
Getting marked was my reality and no one could change that fact. Ever since Frank left the dark moon pack without saying a word to me or even look at me, it disturbed me greatly.
I called him multiple times but he wouldn't pick up, worst of all I resulted to texting him but he would read my messages without sending back a reply.
I was under the impression he would just be upset for a day but it became worse than I had expected.
I had been holding onto my hopes for so long but I didn't think I could do it anymore. I would lose it if I didn't follow what my heart had been telling me for days.
I couldn't hide the fact I was worried about Frank and I desperately want to talk to him and clear off every misunderstanding.
Nothing I say to him could cover up for the hurt he felt but everything would have been avoided if he had told me how he felt about me, at least once and I would have ran into his arms to feel his warm embrace.
"Charlotte" I called out as the maid who was arranging my room rushed towards me.
"Yes my lady, is there anything I can do for you?" she asked, bowing her head down and for some minutes I saw me in her.
Serving people had been my long life duty but now I was the one being seated for people to serve. How amazing life could be and how many more things does life have to show me in the future as well?
"Look at me" I said in a low voice. I had never been used to raising my voice.
"I'm sorry my lady but I can't look at you. We have always been told to bow down our heads and if anyone sees me I can't imagine what will happen to me" Charlotte stated.
"I'm commanding you to look up at me and no one will find out about it, you're in my room afterall" I assured her, placing my hand on her arm as she slowly raised up her head and stared into my eyes.
I continued "I need your help in getting out of the packhouse without the Alphas getting a hint of my disappearance"
I knew fully well that I could just leave the packhouse without permission but I didn't want any of them to know I was leaving to meet Frank otherwise it would make them feel more insecure which will ignite more rage to them and doing all that wasn't part of my intentions.
"But how can't I possibly do that my lady? I'll be willing to help you" she asked.
"There's just one thing you need to do for me. You have to stay in my room and for no reason should you let anyone enter my room or tell anyone where I have gone to" I blurted out.
"What if I get caught?" she queried.
"There's no possibility of you getting caught. Don't just utter a word and I promise I'll be back at the soonest so you won't get into trouble"
"Alright my lady I'll carry out your instructions. I won't open up for anyone and I'll be waiting for you, please come back soon" Charlotte said and I nodded my head in approval, smiling at her.
I quickly stood up from my bed and raced towards the closet, picking up my bag and I hung it on my hand.
I opened the door slowly, peeping through the small space I had created.
I had to make sure no one would spot me leaving otherwise I would have to answer a whole lot of questions and doing that would waste my time.
I stepped out of my room as I hinted at Charlotte using my eyes and she locked the door behind me.
I licked my lower lip and I breathed in deeply, taking off to my heels with long strides into the woods and I instantly shifted into my wolf form.
I needed to be fast in whatever I was doing and my wolf form could help me achieve that. I was enjoying the speed. My legs could run extremely fast and I was quite amazed.
I thought about when I was done accomplishing my mission with Frank I would spare up some time of mine and spend it in the woods in my wolf form.
I would get time to run around and enjoy myself without getting tired. I'll also get to experience the other things I could do in my wolf form.
I began to sense something strange, I was being followed but how was it possible?
I treaded carefully while I was leaving the packhouse and I'm sure of the fact that no one saw me.
"Liv increase your speed we are being followed!" Anne panicked, alerting me.
I heared some approaching footsteps and I turned behind to see two wolves.
Probably they were also going somewhere and they didn't give me any reason to doubt them.
I kept on running but they were getting closer to me. I began to doubt them because they were two roads but why were they using my exact lane and I knew for a fact that my route lead to the dark sky pack.
I was jolted out of my thoughts when I heared one of them beside me and I swiveled my head sideways to see the grey wolf beside me, it was twice as big as me.
Fear creeped up inside of me and I tried to run faster but the wolf beside me pushed me aside with so much force and I fell to the floor, letting out a loud scream.
I tried to stand up but the second wolf jumped on me, slashing it's claw through my skin and I yelled in outmost pain.
I flipped the wolf's body over mine, placing it underneath me but it's strength surpassed me.
The wolf jumped on me once again and digged his claws into my body. I managed to gather enough strength as I stood up and ran as fast as I could away from the woods.
It wasn't the time to become weak because if I did they would surely kill me, it seemed as though they had made up their mind for that.
I quickly hid behind a shade as they ran past me and I heaved a sigh of relief.
I waited for some time to be sure they were gone and no one would chase after me and when I was sure no one was around, I proceeded towards the dark sky pack.
It didn't take long for me to arrive in the dark sky pack as my whole body ached from intense pain and I was bleeding all over.
My head began to spin around, I was feeling very dizzy but I had to hold on a little just so I could see Frank and after that I would gladly take whatever came my way.
I walked inside the mansion with staggered steps in my human form as Frank appeared before me. It felt as though we had a connection of dejavu.
I noticed the stunned expression on his face but he appeared hostile. Even after a long time he was still angry at me.
I moved closer to Frank, closing the distance between us as my breathing increased in a sound palpitation.
"What are you doing here Liv" Frank asked as I raised my hand towards him, trying to touch his face but I dropped to the floor and my eyelids closed instantly.
Everything went blank
