Chapter 5
CHAPTER 5
LUNA
A s I sat there, my mind raced with questions and confusion, a sense of fear creeping in. These three men were asking me to make a life-altering decision in just a few minutes. Despite the whirlwind of emotions, I couldn't deny the inexplicable pull I had felt towards them for years.
Taking a deep breath, I gazed at each of them in turn. Marcel's dark eyes held a fierce determination, Rafe's insistent gaze exuded sincerity and conviction, and Jude's piercing stare hinted at an intense and intriguing depth.
However, as much as I desired to embrace their proposal and choose all of them, I knew deep down that it wasn't a decision I could make lightly. My aunt had instilled in me the values of strength and independence, and the idea of being shared by three men contradicted everything she had taught me.
"I need time," I finally managed to voice after what felt like an eternity of silence. "I can't make this decision right now."
Marcel's expression tightened, but he nodded in understanding. "Of course," he replied calmly. "We don't want to pressure you into anything."
Rafe offered me a reassuring nod. "Take all the time you need, Luna," he said softly. "You deserve to have agency in this decision."
Jude remained silent, his intense gaze fixed on me, evoking feelings of vulnerability and safety simultaneously.
Realizing that there were many unanswered questions before I could even consider such a proposition, I decided to tackle one issue at a time.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked, gesturing around the room we occupied.
Rafe spoke first, his tone gentle. "We wanted you to see our home, how we live. We have nothing to hide from you, Luna."
Marcel shook his head. “Things got out of hand last night. We wanted to jolt you a bit, so you wouldn't take things lightly.”
"Marcel is right," Jude interjected, breaking his silence. "We wanted you to understand us better. We've spent years dreaming about what could be between us."
Rafe nodded in agreement. "We understand this is overwhelming, Luna. By being here with us, witnessing our lives and interactions, we hope you can see a different side of our proposal."
A mix of emotions swirled inside me - confusion, curiosity, and a hint of excitement at the prospect of being desired by these three men in such a profound way.
"I appreciate you showing me around," I began slowly, choosing my words carefully. "But I still have many questions... about your past, intentions, and expectations."
Marcel's gaze softened, reflecting earnestness and vulnerability. "We've faced hardships, Luna. Coming together made us stronger, happier. We all want you. If you were to come between us, we'd fall apart."
Rafe's touch on my hand was warm and reassuring. "Our intentions are to offer you everything. Not just physical intimacy, although that's part of it. We want to provide protection, support, a sense of family. Perhaps, over time, you could come to love us. We aim to be there for you in every possible way."
Jude's intense gaze softened slightly as he spoke. "Our expectations are simple - we want you to choose us out of genuine desire, not obligation. We want this decision to be born from your true feelings."
Their sincerity and earnestness were palpable as they spoke. Despite my initial reservations, a part of me was drawn to the idea of forming a connection with these three determined men who sought to include me in their lives.
Standing amidst these three men offering me a life-changing opportunity, a mix of emotions churned within me - uncertainty mingled with curiosity, fear entwined with a budding hope.
The long and winding road I had known all my life had led to dead-end jobs and darker days. Was I on the verge of making the biggest mistake of my life? Aunt Ruby's words echoed in my mind, urging me to embrace the unknown to find my Happily Ever After.
I glanced up at Rafe's steely blue eyes, haunted by his charm that had stirred my dreams. Marcel's tender side, hidden beneath his passionate moments, called out to me. Was it mere lust or something deeper? And then there was Jude, the quiet one, whose brooding eyes held untold secrets waiting to be unraveled.
Outside, the wind howled, the leafless trees clawing at the window panes like bony fingers, as if urging me to decide. My heart raced, the icy air constricting my lungs as I pondered the alternative life that lay ahead.
"What the hell," I muttered, my heart pounding, "I might as well see where this twisted fairy tale takes me."
