Chapter Nine

Teagan and Dylan found the rental house to be just the right size for the two of them.

There was a main suite, much like theirs at home, featuring a spacious bathroom and walk-in closet. There was only one other bedroom, and it was setup as a nursery. Dylan wasn’t ready to explore that room and the treasures it held, so he went back into the living room and said, “This place is nice.”

His voice cracked a bit, making him feel even more self-conscious.

“Dylan, honey, it’s okay,” Teagan said, putting a comforting hand on his arm.

“What are you talking about?”

She smiled. “You can let go, baby. You’re with me. We’re in Mountainville. Enjoy this experience.”

He started to say something, but after a moment of silence, he fell onto the couch and sat there, a heavy sigh accompanying the gesture.

She sat down beside him and began rubbing comforting circles on his back. She didn’t say anything, instead giving him the time and the silence he needed.

Finally, he said, “Would you be offended if I went and looked at the nursery by myself? Just at first.”

“Not at all,” she said.

“You sure?”

“You bet.” She moved up to his shoulder and squeeze it. “Dylan, I know this is tough for you. I want to be involved as much or as little as you need. Just know it truly doesn’t bother me. I love that you’re a Little, actually.”

He scooted back a little and turned his head until he was looking at her. “You do?”

She giggled, kissed his lips with a quick peck, and said, “Yep. I’ve told you that. I think it’s adorable.”

He smiled and offered a little shrug. “I always figured you were just saying that to make me feel better.”

“Nope. I think I might be a Mommy,” she said with a wink.

He giggled a little now, causing Teagan to smile even more.

Could he be any cuter? She loved seeing signs that he was starting to relax, even if they were small.

“You go checkout the nursery,” she said, standing. “That’ll give me some time to unpack and take care of something.”

“Take care of what?” he said.

She chuckled, leaned down, and kissed his forehead. She tussled his hair and said, “That’s for me to worry about, little boy. You just do what Mommy said.”

She winked.

Dylan giggled again as his cheeks turned red.

He’d let loose soon enough. Mountainville was already casting its spell that no Little could resist.

Inside the nursery, Dylan found his heart quickening. Excited—but nervous—butterflies fluttered in his stomach.

There was a tall shelf of diapers—just his size, too. He grinned, realizing that Teagan had obviously set this up. He pulled one out and sucked in his bottom lip as he ran his thumb over the smooth, white plastic. The slight crinkling sound was comforting.

He put the nappy back up and then turned his focus to the adult-sized crib against one of the walls. It looked so inviting! And there, in the middle of the mattress, was a clear plastic box. Inside of that was a pacifier. A small card rested by it, saying WELCOME HOME, DYLAN.

He thought of popping the binky into his mouth but decided to wait.

What would Teagan think when she saw him like that?

It wasn’t anything she hadn’t seen before, he reminded himself. Still, each time brought a fresh wave of shame and embarrassment.

Had she meant what she’d said about being a Mommy? This stuff wasn’t even on her radar until he’d introduced it to her. Was she just placating him? Or did she really like it, too?

He forgot about those questions as he looked at the changing table on the opposite wall. There were wipes, powder, and lotion just waiting for a Little.

Waiting for him .

The apprehension recessed a bit more, that excitement roaring back, as he considered the potential.

No one on the force would see him in Mountainville. Right? This place really respected privacy. There wouldn’t be pictures on social media or anything like that. Really no way for it to leak.

His old military buddies would never know, either.

The citizens of Plano that he protected wouldn’t have a clue.

The criminals he busted would have no idea.

He could let go here.

Right?

He needed to. For his own sanity. And to respect all the work Teagan had put into this trip. It was clear she wanted this to be magical. He’d hate to disappoint her.

With that in mind, he took off through the house, going into the bedroom he’d share with her—if he didn’t sleep in the crib, that is.

“Hey, honey, I was thinking—”

He stopped walking and talking when he saw her.

Her shirt was off. Her bra was pulled down, exposing her breasts.

Did they look…bigger?

And what was she doing?

That last question is exactly what he asked her.

“Huh?” she said.

“What are you doing?” he repeated.

“Just…changing.”

“Uh, why were you…massaging your boobs?”

She laughed. “What if I want to massage my boobs? Maybe I was really turned on and needed some action.”

Now he laughed. “If you’re turned on just tell me! You don’t have to take care of that yourself.”

“You’ll gladly massage my boobs?”

He nodded, still grinning from ear to ear. “Among other things.”

She chuckled. “I was just handling Mommy things. Don’t worry about it, little boy.” She pulled up her bra, cutting off the view of her swelling mounds. “Now, what were you coming in here to tell me?”

It took a few seconds for the memory of her perfect chest to fade enough for him to find his words. “I was…just gonna say…maybe I want to, you know…get in Little Space now.”

The smile on Teagan’s face and the affection in her eyes were genuine as she hugged him.

“Oh, baby boy! I was hoping you’d say that. Follow me.”

Teagan grabbed his hand and tugged on it, walking before him and leading him from the room.

Before he crossed the door’s threshold, his eyes fell to a pill bottle atop the nightstand. He wondered what it contained. He wasn’t aware she had any prescriptions, but then again, they didn’t talk about it everyday, either.

He’d have to worry about that later. Right now, he had an appointment.

With his Little self.
