- Grieving the loss of a loved one (death happened before the story - terminal illness)- Disordered eating (BED, explicit on-page eating)- Swearing, name-calling, insults between the MCs (a pencil and a foam sandal are also flung)- Underage drinking, underage purchase of cigarettes use of fake IDs- Explicit sex scenes (all consensual - MF)- Depression Anxiety- Homophobia (nuanced dialogue from a disapproving family member - condemned by the author, the heroes, and the narrative)- Complicated parent-child relationships

I’d also like to leave a quick note to my beautiful friends who may not be familiar with the school system and other rules in the US of A, where this book takes place, in case it’s helpful:

- Our characters are sophomores in college, meaning they’re in their second year of university. They attend a four-year university where the years are freshman, sophomore, junior, and then senior.

- June, Oli, and Jonah are 20 years old, meaning they’re under the legal drinking age of 21. Jonah is under the legal age for buying cigarettes, which is also 21.

- A quad is a large green space between campus buildings where students can sit.

- No, I’m not trying to be a jerk lol. Personally, I just learned the word quad this year, so I genuinely hope this is helpful.

All that being said, this is a happy book. Remember that this is a safe space for all, and you are so very loved by our little literary family.
