Chapter 7
Carl knelt and pickedher up at the threshold of her room. He crossed over as if they were newlyweds. Even though they were home alone, Carl kicked the door closed. Jayel giggled, and Carl shrugged his wide shoulders.
“You never know,” he said.
Jayel laughed. “In that case, you’d better put me down so I can lock it.”
“There’s no need to be that cautious,” Carl said with a smirk.
“I just want to help you, darling.”
Carl carried her over to the bed. “It would be more helpful to me if you weren’t so gotdamn sexy.”
Jayel eyed his chest and moaned as if it hurt to look at him. “Ditto.”
Carl laughed while climbing over her while she lay on the bed. Jayel suddenly became nervous. Her eyes widened with fear when he mounted her, and she gasped. Carl was displeased. Her excitement had been incredibly intense, exceeding all of his expectations. Now that he was ready to fuck her, her passion abated? Despite his thoughts, the concern in his eyes overshadowed any sense of disappointment.
“What is the matter?” Jayel averted her gaze from him. Carl gently turned her face back toward him. “You never have to be afraid of me, Jayel. You know you can confide in me about anything. Did he harm you?”
Jayel knew he was referring to Ty. She had not disclosed to anyone the reasons for her sudden departure from college. Tears welled up in her eyes. Carl brushed them away with his hand before they could fall. He moved to sit on the edge of the bed. Carl pulled her along with him. Together they sat on the edge with Jayel perched on his lap.
“Please, Jayel. Tell me. Tell me what happened,” Carl implored.
Jayel touched his forearm before speaking. Taking a deep breath, she began to recount the events to Carl. She shared everything—how she never truly loved Ty, how she felt diminished in their relationship; first as his girlfriend and later as his fiancée. She admitted she did not want to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner or earn a degree in kinesiology with a focus on physical therapy. She longed for the life she had before Tyrone Gibson entered it.
Jayel informed Carl that she had decided not to return to school for those pursuits. She had no intentions of going back to that campus or rekindling things with Ty; their relationship was over. As Jayel neared the end of her story, she found herself sitting in Carl’s lap, enveloped in his comforting embrace. Although Jayel’s words carried emotion, her body exuded warmth and comfort. Carl struggled to suppress his arousal as Jayel continued to tenderly stroke his arms and chest while she spoke.
Carl empathized with the pain caused by Ty’s betrayal, but he was puzzled by Jayel’s response to the intimate aspect of his making love to her.
She willingly engaged in intimate activities with him, her touch carrying a hint of seduction. Jayel ran her fingers over his chest and absently played with his chest hair, seemingly enticing him without conscious effort. Carl teetered on the brink of losing control.
Carl gently clasped her hands. “Jayel, sweetheart...” Jayel ceased her caressing and gazed at him innocently. “Tell me, what did he do to make you lose interest in intimacy?”
Jayel scrunched her nose, taken aback by his question. “Ty didn’t do anything to me, Carl. We never engaged in sexual relations.”
Carl took a deep breath, visibly surprised by her revelation. It was a revelation that would likely astonish most, including her parents, who probably assumed she and Ty were sexually active. Jayel continued to speak unprompted.
“I didn’t love Ty. How could I let a man who doesn’t even respect me touch me like that?”
Carl was silent, his thoughts in disarray. Jayel continued.
“Ty assumed that because we were engaged, I would be more willing to go along with it. I tried, but I couldn’t shake off the anger from the night you accused me of being pregnant.” She lightly smacked Carl’s arm. “It was then that I realized your feelings for me. I was in love with you too, but you left, and I didn’t see you again until the night of my party.”
Carl halted her words, not wanting to cause her pain with his lack of communication.
“I’m sorry, Jayel. I never intended to hurt you.” Carl embraced her, planting a kiss on her forehead. “I love you, Butterfly, more than words can convey.”
Jayel let out a delighted squeal. “I love you too, Carl,” she confessed. “I”m not afraid of intimacy, I’m afraid...” She paused. She positioned herself over his lap, creating space to reveal his flesh. Carl’s arousal was evident. “Look at it. It’s huge!”
Carl didn’t feel the need to look; he was already familiar with its appearance. He laughed. “I won”t sugarcoat it; there might be some discomfort, but I assure you it won’t last.”
Carl and Jayel engaged in passionate kisses as they moved over the bed. This time, Jayel surrendered without hesitation. Carl used his saliva to lubricate his penis before gently entering her.
Jayel’s eyes widened as he penetrated her, and Carl paused, observing her closely. Once Jayel adjusted, Carl began moving slowly, feeling her tight walls enveloping him firmly.
Carl prolonged the experience, varying the pace and angle of their lovemaking. He took Jayel to different heights of pleasure, bringing her to orgasm repeatedly. By the time Carl allowed himself to climax, both of their bodies were glistening with sweat.
Afterward, Carl held Jayel in his arms, showering her with kisses and freely expressing his love. Jayel was overwhelmed by Carl’s attentiveness and passion, her body reveling in the ecstasy of the moment.
“I can’t make it stop, Carl. When will it stop?” Jayel asked innocently.
“It will subside as your excitement tapers off. Right now, you’re still deeply overwhelmed,” Carl reassured her.
“So, this is normal?” Jayel inquired.
“It seems to be for you. I’m also thrilled to have brought you such complete satisfaction,” Carl replied with a sense of contentment.
Carl gazed at Jayel for a while before slowly rising to pull the covers down and help her slip under them.
“You’re tired, get some rest,” he advised.
“What are you doing? Aren’t you going to lie down with me?” Jayel asked.
Carl, still naked and unashamed, seemed to relish the way Jayel’s eyes roamed over his body. “No, I’m not going to lie down with you. I have something I must attend to.”
Jayel pouted. “But Carl, I want you.”
“Don’t do that,” Carl chided her, as he always did whenever she pouted. Jayel quickly composed her expression. “That”s better, kitten,” he said, gently stroking her face.
Jayel reached for his hands. “But I want to please you, Carl.”
He reassured her with a smile. “I am already pleased.”
“Okay, well, I want to satisfy you,” Jayel persisted.
As she reached for his flaccid penis, Carl gently stopped her and removed the comforter from the bed.
“This is spoiled; I’ll replace it,” Carl remarked as he began to walk toward the door.
“Wait!” Jayel sat up suddenly, causing the covers to slip from her chest, revealing her breasts. “No goodbye kiss?”
“If I kiss you now, I’ll want you again,” Carl explained, stroking his chin. He took a deep breath and sighed. “If I engage with you now, I might lose control and hurt you. Trust me, you don’t want me to be inside you uncontrollably.”
Carl departed, closing the bedroom door behind him.
