Epilogue #2

“Oh, God.” Her fingers bit into my shoulders as she braced her knees on either side of my hips and gave me all she had.

“Fuck …” I released her breast, but only to crush her mouth beneath mine as she tried to wrench my very soul from my body.

The woman could move. We broke apart, panting for breath as I held her gaze.

Her lids sat low over her eyes, desire turning them a darker shade of blue.

“That’s it,” I murmured thickly against her lips. “Take it, darlin’. Take it all.”

“I’m coming,” she gasped. “I’m coming!”

“Come hard on me, Arro,” I growled, my hold on her tightening. “Give me everything.”

Her loud groan of release echoed off the walls as her inner muscles squeezed around me in fisted, tight waves that drew my balls up. I bellowed with unearthly fucking satisfaction as my release flooded into her.

Holding her close, rubbing soothing circles on her naked back, I waited until she’d come down from her high before I made a move to lift us off the floor.

Arro clamped her legs down around mine to stop me.

Amused, I brushed her hair off her face and asked, “Do you want to stay here all night?”

She shook her head, chasing my fingers with her lips. I cupped her face in my hands, loving the way she bussed into my touch. “I want to ask you something.”

“All right?”

She caressed my face with her eyes as she said, “Regan and Thane would like us to have a double wedding.”

Wondering if she was conflicted about her answer, I said, “I’m sure if you don’t want to, they’ll be okay with that.”

“I do want to,” she hurried to say. “But only if you want to. I don’t want you to feel like our wedding was hijacked. I will not be one of those brides who takes over everything. This is our wedding.”

Grinning, I cuddled her closer. “Arrochar Adair, if it were up to me, I’d march you to the nearest justice of the peace and have them marry us on the spot.

All I care about is being your husband and you being my wife.

When I proposed, I didn’t care how we made that come about …

but do you know what? I think getting married alongside your brother and Regan sounds exactly right for us. ”

Her eyes brightened with happy tears. “Family,” she murmured.

“That’s it. It’s all that matters.” I grinned at her mischievously. “And it’ll give this village more to gossip about, what with the complicated family tree we’re creating.”

Arro threw her head back in a wicked cackle that made me laugh. “I love it! Yeah, we’re doing it. Double wedding.”

“Double wedding,” I agreed.

Her expression softened into such love, it made me hard again. “Just so you know, I’d marry you anywhere too. All I care about is us. I don’t care about the trimmings and trappings.”

“That’s why we’re perfect for each other.”

“We are, aren’t we?” She did a little shimmy on me that made me groan. She chuckled with delight. “It took us a while to get here, but we got here eventually. And soon”—she lifted her left hand to flash her engagement ring—“we’ll be forever.”

I shook my head as I used my training to take me to my feet without losing my hold on her.

Arro wrapped her arms around my neck as I carried her into the bedroom and promised, “We already are forever.” I threw her on the bed, shrugging out of my jacket, preparing to show her what I planned forever to look like.

With her hair spilling across our pillows, her cheeks flushed with desire, and eyes bright with adoration, I honestly thought my heart might burst with gratitude as my future wife whispered fiercely, “It’s always been you, Mackennon. It always will be.”
