This was good, Finn knew who her brother was. That meant I could kick his ass sooner. Dylan squealed, “THREE PACKS! One girl is going to bring together three packs. God, of course she is. That’s the power of the Conners blood right there.”
Eric said, “No way.” Maverick asked, “Who is looking for their sister?” Alexander answered, “Lux. Can any of you hear me when I speak?!” What was his deal? I linked Keith, “That doesn’t make sense. Lux is a good guy. He wouldn’t….” I trailed off. How could Lux just walk away from her like that?
Conversations were continuing on around me, but none of them were moving in the right direction.
Channing growled, “Find mate!” Dad linked, “Son, we will find Odette.” I asked, “How? They can’t pop to her!
” Dad replied, “On some level, you know Melanie will fix this. It’s what she does.
” Yes, WITH me sometimes. Well, peripherally. The point is that I could’ve gone!
Alpha Theo, Lux, Anne, Beta James, and Harrison were popped in by my cousin Gerard. Lux asked, “Is it really Odette?” Sierra held out Melanie’s phone. Lux snatched it away from her, “Odette.” Channing growled in my head.
Lux looked up and growled at me, “And my little sister is mated to you? How? She’s only seventeen.
” I linked Keith, “Do I look like the damn authority on knowing other people’s Supernatural sides?
! HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HIS OTHER HALF! How the FUCK am I supposed to know about it? !” Keith answered, “Uhhh I don’t know.”
Alpha Theo reasoned, “It must be her and your other half that can tell.” I nodded because that was obviously the answer as we all knew it. Lux lunged at me. Channing warned, “I can and will hurt him.” Shit. Alexnader popped in front of Lux, stopping him.
Channing huffed, “Seriously?! ODEN of ALL PEOPLE is stopping me from fighting?!” Yeah, that was a twist. Dad and Emmett gripped my shoulders. Lux yelled, “HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN TO HER!”
I growled, “I wasn’t even here! I was at the SAME DAMN EVENT YOU WERE!
” Channing growled, “Let me at Lake, right now!” I linked Emmett, “You might want to tell Lightning and Bolt to talk at the speed of LIGHT with my wolf.” Emmett snorted, “They are.” Ok good.
My hands were still turning into claws though.
Lux growled, “You should’ve protected her!” I shot back, “You mean like you should’ve! Odette’s been looking for you! You just left her and never came back! My mate has serious abandonment issues because of you! I didn’t know it was you, or I would’ve come to your territory to kick your ass!”
Emmett got between us now putting his back against Alexander’s to hold me back. Emmett linked, “Shift your hands back.” It was an Alpha Command, so I followed it. Channing warned, “I hope you know, I’m still pissed.” I did know that.
Lux yelled, “I didn’t abandon my little sister! I left her a letter. I even tried to see her, but my mom refused while the custody hearing was going on. Once it was over they were gone before I could see her. There was nothing left behind. My dad and I have been looking for Odette ever since.”
Emmett linked, “She is hard to find.” I growled, “If this was Alexandria you would be pissed off at him too.” Emmett didn’t have a reply to that because I was right! Lux scoffed and continued, “Abandoned her. I practically raised her! No, not practically, I DID!”
Lux pointed at himself, “I was the one up doing the middle of the night feeds and telling my dad I needed some money for shoes that I didn’t buy! Because Odette needed formula. Don’t you EVER say I abandoned my baby sister!”
“I was a pup too, but I did everything I could for her. Every dime my dad was giving in child support that I could get away from my mom went to Odette once she had her. I love her! She’s my baby sister.” Channing semi calmed down in my head.
Nathan snarled, “That woman didn’t even take care of my pup?!” I linked dad, “This is SO NOT THE POINT!” Dad sighed but I could tell he agreed. Lux whirled, “Your what?! HOLY SHIT, IT’S YOU?!” Alpha Theo sighed, “Morgana didn’t tell you. Did she, Nathan?”

I would’ve bought anything she needed. I would’ve been her dad.

I linked my family, “Fuck Morgana to the DEPTHS OF HELL!”
I hated how destroyed Nathan was. I’d looked up to him my whole life. He was like a second grandpa to me. He’d taken us on some fishing trips with the Conners boys. Nathan and Grandpa Frank were good friends.
I linked Grandpa, “Nathan needs you.” Grandpa replied, “I’m holding down the fort over here. Is Nathan upset about Melanie?” I replied, “Odette is his daughter that he didn’t know about.” Grandpa gasped, “Holy buried lead. What the fuck?! This just got so much messier.” He had no idea.
I told Nathan, “You still can be. Odette suspects because of a friend, who I now guess is Melanie, that told my mate her dad doesn’t know about her. My mate wants to meet you.” Aunt Haley put her hands up, “Hold the fuck up. So, we have the pills she was taking here? Odette doesn’t have them?”
Nathan confirmed, “Yes, we have them. They were in her purse that was in the car.” I paid attention because this felt important based on Aunt Haley’s reaction.
Haley questioned, “How soon will Odette’s wolf start talking to her then?
Because that has to be what has been keeping her wolf weak and silent.
How long has Odette been taking them? Do we have those answers? ”
Channing growled, “MATE! I can contact mate!” I replied, “Not if she’s not awake you can’t, you haven’t met her.” Channing said, “I have met mate though.” I didn’t think that would work, but Channing was certainly more than able to try.
Channing linked, “We can run with mate, in wolf form.” Our mate was a royal and an Alpha.
An Alpha of a very strong line. I linked my dad, “Morgana is fucking dead, in case that wasn’t clear from my first link about her.
I’ll find her before they do.” Dad amended, “With us.” Maybe. If they were onto me whilst I looked.
Sierra answered, “Odette told us since she’s been on them since she was fourteen.” Lux asked, “What damn pills?” Channing huffed, “Again with the unimportant details. We already went over this!” Alpha Theo said, “Oh god. This is all my fault.”
Lux asked, “Dad?” Alpha Theo looked and sounded horrified, “Morgana found a way to keep Odette’s wolf quiet because I took you. You turned sixteen and I took you. So, she hid Odette’s wolf from her. Son of a bitch!”
Aunt Haley shouted, “Exfuckingcuse me?! Morgana, that name just screams evil bitch by the way,” Anne muttered, “Afreakingmen.” Haley added, “Is the one to blame for this. I have other thoughts on that name too. Did Odette ever mention being committed?” I snarled and Emmett and dad held me back.
I linked Keith, “COMMITED?! I’LL KILL HER! I WILL GUT HER LIKE A GODDAMN FISH!” Keith replied, “I will help you.” Good. Dad linked, “Son, calm down.” I shouted, “COMMITED!” Dad said, “We don’t know that yet.” I scoffed, “Yes, we do. Aunt Haley is sure or she wouldn’t have said it.”
Uncle Eric growled, “You think Odette’s unstable?
” Channing demanded, “You tell them mate is fine! It’s just magic on her!
” Aunt Haley said, “No, I think she’s a teenager who basically raised herself since she was five years old after her bitch of a mother took her away from the big brother, and only family, she knew. ”
Channing snarled in my head as Aunt Haley continued, “Odette was probably alone a lot. She probably didn’t take her medicine at some point.
She’s a child and teenagers are stubborn sometimes.
What would Odette hear if she did that? A fucking voice in her head.

I was not the only one who growled. Emmett linked, “We can hunt down anyone if that happened. Human or not, they die.” Good. More people on my LEVEL! Malachi announced, “I’ve been filled in by a seriously interesting Beta group text. Not Katie…” I linked Emmett, “REALLY! I told you her name.”
Emmett reasoned, “Surely you know, outside a select group, they were still calling her Not Katie.” Ok, fine. Malachi shook himself, “I mean Odette’s kidnappers are on the phone. They want to talk over the ransom with Keaton. Someone told them she’s your mate.” FUCKING WHO?!
I growled, “How? No one knew.” Emmett linked me, “Odette being your mate was the WORST kept secret of all time. That’s how they knew. You’re an Alpha, the ability to keep your mate a secret is not one you have.” I glared at him.
Sierra snorted, “I bet Melanie knows.” Well, that was hardly groundbreaking! Melanie knew everything! Ken muttered, “Everyone knew, it just wasn’t announced. He hid it very badly.” I shot him a glare, but Ken just shrugged.
Alexander ordered, “Track Melanie’s watch right now!” Channing asked, “THAT WAS AN OPTION THE ENTIRE TIME?!” Apparently. Sierra winced, “I wasn’t kidding when I said we don’t know how.” Channing grumbled, “I feel like there’s a way to ASK the system where she is.” There had to be.
Alexnader shouted, “MICAH!” Micah sighed, “Sierra, now would be a great time for those instructions so I can track Melanie down.” I linked dad, “No, a GREAT time would’ve been when my mate was kidnapped and Melanie took off after her.
This obviously takes precedent over an Alpha meeting!
” Dad sighed, “Angela said it worked out best injury wise this way.”
THEY HURT MY MATE?! Dead. Everyone was fucking dead. Alexander asked, “How do I talk to Melanie on this watch?” Sierra sighed, “Mel went dark, you can’t talk to her.” I linked Emmett, “False, the techy Luna is madly in love with her mate. He can ABSOLUTELY talk to her.”
