Chapter 13 No Longer Hidden #11
I whispered, “Ok, I won’t move my hands… Or I’ll try… trying is a thing I can do.” Xander flipped me around and spanked me again. My mate growled, “No, you’ll do it or I’ll punish you.” Ok now I didn’t want to do it. I wondered how he would punish me.
Xander flipped me back around and inserted a finger into me slowly. My husband asked, “Do you know how sexy you are when you fight?” I said, “Umm… well… it’s never been described as sexy.” Xander growled and his lips were on mine.
He linked me, “It’s really damn sexy.” My husband upped the tempo with his finger. When I came, he entered another finger inside me. I was a whimpering mess by the time my husband flipped me onto all fours and entered me from behind and I screamed his name.
Xander growled, pulled me up by my hair and played with my nipples. I cried out, “I can’t… I can’t anymore.” Xander growled, “You can come again, wife, and you will.” I whimpered against him. Xander pounded into me possessively.
Despite thinking it wasn’t possible… I shattered all around him. Freya chuckled and said something about magic, but I couldn’t ask her what was so funny… or what magic. I felt Xander press his lips into my forehead urging, “Sleep, Mel.”
When I woke up Xander and I were still tangled up together. I gently reached out and touched his face. My husband’s eyes snapped open. I rolled over on top of him and lowered myself onto his weapon of mass destruction that was already ready to go.
We spent the morning like that. Eventually I sighed, “We should go downstairs.” Xander chuckled, “We sent the pack into heat, so no one is really around.” I blushed asking, “We did?” Xander smirked, “Yes, my beautiful wife, we did.”
We showered together and eventually made it downstairs. I cooked for us since we didn’t see anyone all day. I asked, “Where are your parents? Your mom doesn’t have a heat.” Xander snorted, “No but the magic called to her Fairy side. My parents are busy.” I blushed again.
The next morning, I came downstairs and Elise tackled me with a hug. I said, “Umm… hi Elise.” She giggled, “You just want to take credit for all your nieces and nephews.” I asked, “Huh?” Elise laughed, “Catching Cassie’s twins, and being the reason I’m having twins.”
I gasped, “You’re pregnant?!” Elise laughed, “Yes, you sent me into heat.” I studied her, happy to realize that my sister in law was radiating joy.
I hugged her, “I’m so happy for you.” I went out and ran.
I shifted into Freya so she could run off some excess energy once I was alone and out of sight.
I spied a black wolf I knew on the other side of the border.
Channing ran behind a tree and shifted back into Keaton Daniels.
Freya chuckled, “Our honorary Resistance member.” Who hadn’t mentioned it since it had come out that I was in it…
and ran… the Resistance… but I didn’t know if Yellow Hills knew that, actually.
I ran behind a tree and grabbed Xander’s shirt. I came back out greeting, “Hi, Keaton.” He smiled sadly. I asked, “Are you alright?” Keaton sighed, “Have you ever messed up and not known how to fix it?” I admitted “All the time. Honesty usually works out… since I have zero lying skills.”
Keaton snorted, “I don’t know if it will help me.” I asked, “Ex-girlfriend or new.” Keaton said, “She’s new. She transferred to school at the break. She’s amazing and gorgeous.” I asked, “What’s her name?” Keaton whispered, “Katie. Katie Karlton.”
I laughed, “Keaton and Katie has a cute ring to it.” Wrong…
but a ring. Freya laughed. I sighed, “Well… it’s just not quite right…
for some reason.” I just didn’t know why.
Keaton grumbled, “If someone could tell her that. She says I confuse her, but she’s so happy when we are together.
My ex has put her off, but Katie likes me. She feels drawn to me.”
So this was his mate then. Ok.. I was wrong. Keaton and Katie were a fit…but they weren’t. Maybe that was her middle name… and the first name would make me feel like they did go together. Freya reasoned, “That could be it.”
I advised, “Don’t let Lisa get in the way, Keaton. If you like Katie… then an ex is an ex. Fight for Katie… and let her see that you are. Tell your ex to leave her alone. There are times to involve your Lead Alpha, even if he’s your brother. Alpha Emmett can help you.”
Keaton smiled, “I intend to fight for Katie with everything I have.” His eyes lit up confirming what I was thinking. That Katie was actually his mate. Freya said, “Channing won’t confirm or deny, but I agree with you.”
I wondered why no one knew that Keaton had met his mate. I nodded to him and headed back to the house. Sierra was waiting outside. I asked, “What now?” Sierra chuckled and handed me a tight, red sparkly outfit.
I laughed, “Do I dare ask what’s on my schedule?” Sierra insisted, “Just put it on.” I shrugged and did as she said. Someone must have snapped because my hair was now curled loosely around my face. I asked, “What on earth is going on?” Sierra rolled her eyes, “Of course you don’t know.”
I asked my wolf, “What’s up?” Freya said, “Just enjoy it.” I walked inside with my Beta Female and was greeted by several shouts of, “SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELANIE!” Tears filled my eyes. I hadn’t celebrated my birthday since I left. I used to get myself a cupcake, but I stopped doing that.
Xander popped next to me grinning broadly. My husband whispered, “Happy Birthday, Lovebug.” I smiled, kissing him. Howls rang out all around us. I still couldn’t believe this was my life. Now I would get to celebrate my birthday again. I couldn’t deny I was excited.
