Chapter 15 Drunk Melanie #4
Lisa asked, “Who the hell are you?” I answered, “Uhh Melanie McAlister… no wait. I got married. I’m Melanie Conners. I should definitely go with Melanie McAlister Conners. I don’t know decisions, decisions.”
Keaton asked, “Are you drunk, Luna Melanie?” Kingsley answered, “She is. We call this version Drunk Melanie. Dylan Frost thinks she needs a different name though.” I said, “Hey now... that’s neither here nor there.” Lisa asked, “What?” Freya growled in my head.
I waved at the man I was helping, “Go on and get out of here. You have plans, Keaton! Lisa and I are going to have ourselves a little chat. To think I wasted time getting Keith to show me your picture when all I had to do was wait for you to talk to Keaton.”
Lisa sneered, “Keith hates me.” I said, “For several good reasons, I’m sure.” Freya agreed, “Definitely. Her wolf is confusing.” I asked, “Why?” Freya admitted, “I can’t put my finger on it, but they do not match at all.” Ok?
Kingsley said, “I’ll actually agree since you seem quite annoying. Seriously though, stop making your voice sound like that. It’s going to ruin your vocal cords.” Lisa growled weakly, “Don’t make fun of my voice.” I winced because that tone actually hurt my ears.
I karate chopped her in the throat. Keaton groaned, “Oh shit.” Kingsley urged, “Just go Keaton Daniels, I’ve got this.” Keaton hesitated then opened his car door. Lisa coughed then asked, “How can you leave me here like this?”
Keaton whirled around practically snarling, “Oh my god! They were right? You make your voice sound that way?” Lisa paled. Keaton muttered, “You had me fighting for you over people making fun of your voice and it was never your damn voice. I’m leaving.”
I clapped, “Good for you Keaton! Don’t let her use your Alpha blood against you!” I whispered, “Because that’s the only reason he defended you. Alpha blood… and not being a jerk… just saying.” Keaton slammed his truck door and left.
Lisa jumped to her feet saying, “You had no right to lay hands on me.” I disagreed, “Uhh I’m a Luna and you’re annoying.
I’m pretty sure people would be on my side.
You were also impeding a member of your Alpha’s family from leaving.
That’s against a bylaw…he could’ve been going somewhere important to protect a pack member…
or future pack member. Plus, like I said… I want to talk to you.”
Lisa asked, “What did you want to talk to me about?” I demanded, “Leave Keaton and Katie alone.” Lisa growled, “You know Katie? Why is everyone so about that stupid transfer girl?!” I said, “No… I don’t go to high school… nor live in your area, so I obviously do not know her.” A few people laughed.
I continued, “As per your other question, why does everyone like her? Odds are because she’s not you and doesn’t make her voice obnoxious and one of their Alpha’s likes her. Those are just my guesses though… off the top of my head… which were not hard to come up with.”
“For how I know of her… that would be because Keaton mentioned her. You two are done. Move on with grace… that I’m pretty sure you don’t possess… but try. You’ve always been mean to Keaton anyway. I have that on good authority.”
Lisa rolled her eyes snarking, “Keith Daniels hates me. He never has anything nice to say when it comes to me.” I snorted, “Be that as it may… his thoughts and words line up with the time I made sure no one killed you or Keaton.”
Lisa gasped, “What?” I explained, “You wanted Keaton to set up this whole big to do to lose your virginity to each other. Then you made him feel like crap… the whole time after he put a lot of effort into it.” Lisa paled.
I heard a laugh I knew. UGH! Freya grumbled, “I dislike this partial wolf.” Huh? I’d never heard Lisa was a hybrid. I growled at her, “Now you’re ruining my game because Blade found us. He must have heard me say I was going to come talk to you. You are…. SO annoying.”
Blade said, “Is funny wolf.” I said, “She’s a crappy, mean she wolf who faked having a weird annoying voice, so Keaton had to defend her. You know what… just stay away from Keaton, Lisa. Because I’ll find out if you don’t…. and you won’t like my response.” Blade grunted, “Meant you.” Oh.
I paused then added, “Also leave Katie alone too, Lisa. You had a good man, but you lost him. Deal with it. Don’t make me come back here.
” Lisa sneered, “Or what?” She did NOT. Freya snarled in my head.
Kingsley commented, “Bad move, Lisa.” Blade agreed, “Is crazy she wolf. Mark words.” Lisa argued, “I'm not crazy….”
It was all she got out before I punched her in the face so hard I broke her nose.
I grabbed Lisa’s broken nose and squeezed it.
I explained, “Or I come back here and kick your sorry, fake nails on a chalkboard voice, butt. Just let him be happy. You’ve made him miserable…
for years. I even heard you lied and led him to believe you were mates… when you knew you weren’t.”
Lisa shook her head, “No, he did smell good to me.” Freya growled, “She’s lying. Her wolf is new, but she told me that she realized Lisa was lying after the fact. She’s not telling me how though.” I mean… her wolf was in her head with access to her thoughts. Poor thing.
I rolled my eyes, “Yeah well, your wolf told mine you’re lying.
So… blackmail time. You either leave Keaton and Katie alone…
or I’ll tell everyone you lied. That your wolf told mine the truth.
Then their wolves could ask yours and you’d be exposed.
You are pretty vain so I’m guessing you don’t want that. ”
Lisa glared at me and tried to slap me. I grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back. I laughed, “You so can’t take me on… that was sad… do you train at all? I’m guessing no. To tell Xander you tried to slap me or not… hmmm… decisions.”
That had me thinking about my yummy husband.
He was so delicious. Freya agreed, “He is.” I turned to Kingsley asking, “Was I this obnoxious when I was eighteen?” Kingsley answered, “You have never been this obnoxious. We need to go because Kayda desperately wants to kill her. She’s on edge.
I’ll need to go with H and shift later.” Blade laughed.
I let Lisa go saying, “Remember to leave them both alone. I said what I said.” Lisa rubbed her wrist but didn’t answer. I snarked, “Hello? I’m talking to you. Answer me…. please.” Lisa gritted her teeth, “Fine, I’ll leave them alone.”
I patted her head and spoke like I was talking to a baby, “What a good girl! That’s such a smart decision… I don’t actually have much faith you’ll keep your word… but that’s ok. I kind of excel at killing people.” Lisa looked like a ghost at this point. She should see a doctor.
I turned and grabbed Kingsley yelling, “This didn’t count, Blade! It was a detour in the game for a noble cause. So young love could blossom… I think… I’m pretty sure anyway!” Keaton acted like Katie was his mate… so she probably was.
I was on a noble quest for mate love. Blade was laughing pretty hard when Kingsley and I went through the holoport. We passed around Kingsley’s phone through the whole group. Kingsley was laughing really hard… and as a whole the group was all having so much fun.
I linked Mason, “Why did you let them catch you?” Mason replied, “Sometimes you have to take pity on people.” I disagreed, “Uhhh no… pity wins are no fun… they are actually upsetting.” Mason replied laughing, but I was serious.
Finally, I decided to end the game when I saw Xander sitting with his eyes closed. I wanted to jump in his lap, so I did. Xander and I were kissing when Jason complained about it. I linked him, “Not cool… be cool.” Jason snorted, “I’m not cool?! You’re dry humping my best friend!”
I replied, “Ummm I’m married to him, so…
it’s clearly cool. You obviously do the same with one of my best friends…
and I don’t say anything about that.” Jason groaned.
Adeline linked, “Get it girl!” I replied, “You came to my party!” Adeline laughed, “I was always a staple figure at your parties.” That was true.
Adeline was right… it was my birthday, so I should get it. Freya agreed, “Definitely.” Eventually, I did pull apart from my sexy mate. It seemed all for nothing because everyone had boring questions. I answered them though.
We moved onto the Resistance, so I somewhat loosely explained it.
Everly asked a question. I was proud I didn’t wince or snark back at her.
I just answered her. Look at how mature I am.
Freya linked, “Drunk. You are drunk.” Yes…
but drunk me was kind of mean sometimes…
and Everly and I had been so cool lately.
That brought us to the fact that I’d hacked Jason’s phone. I just obviously wasn’t the only one. Someone else had too and it messed with mine. Or there was magic in case I did hack his phone, so I wouldn’t know my family was still alive.
Nope I was not thinking about that or my head would hurt. Which brought us to Valdoma. I squeezed Paige’s hand. I knew it hurt her to discuss that vile dark Witch. Freya snarled in my head. Valdoma and Paige had battled before, but when they first met Valdoma was kind and nice to Paige.
Then something flipped. I still didn’t know what had happened other than Valdoma was just evil. My theory was she realized that Paige wasn’t going to turn dark… and join the side of her evil relative… who should be dead… but drank Vampire blood to avert that.
Micah wanted to understand his watch. Understand? Didn’t he already figure it out? It wasn’t too complicated. Well… it was complicated, but Micah could figure it out. Freya snorted, “Tell everyone the name.” I gasped, “No!”
Freya sighed, “Mate will love the name.” I mean… I never thought he’d find out… which… the name was perfect, but people made fun of it. I snapped out it when everyone wanted theirs. OHHH! I could just pass them out.
