Chapter 28

CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

Erika

To carry on the incredible whirlwind romance that has made me feel like I’ve been stuck in a bubble for the last two days, while I was in the shower this morning, Leon didn’t just upgrade the flights I had already booked; instead, he called his captain and flight crew, informing them to get his private jet ready for take-off this afternoon to Las Vegas where we landed barely an hour ago.

What came as a greater surprise was when Leon informed me that his crew would be flying us to Bora Bora as well.

Flying private means no connections, no risk of losing our luggage, and most importantly, we are traveling just the two of us with only a couple of cabin crew and two pilots all the way there. Sounds like bliss.

I had no idea he had organized any of this until we arrived at a private terminal at Edmonton airport this morning, where we had our own private check-in desk and security, and I loved every single second.

It was the ultimate surprise and the best start to our honeymoon vacation.

I must stop thinking I am going on a honeymoon. It’s a vacation. That’s all.

Although switching our over-the-water bungalow to an even bigger one than I had booked was the best surprise. Not only does it sit away from the other bungalows, way out on the peak of the boardwalk, but it gives seriously romantic vibes that feels a lot like a honeymoon.

I’m excited, also nervous. Two weeks alone with Leon will test our relationship.

Although living twenty-four-seven with him for the last week has felt like the most natural thing in the world.

And after we both admitted how we felt, there has been no drama, no awkwardness, and we get on so well. We just work.

While waiting in departures this morning, we talked about nothing and everything, huddled together, enjoying being able to hold hands and kiss each other freely as we laughed at a pair of influencers recording themselves dancing.

Everything we do together is unforced and fun, and I can’t believe it’s taken so long for us to get together finally. I want more vacations, more laughter, more inside jokes, more sex, more of everything with him.

I set foot inside our hotel suite in Vegas that Leon upgraded on check in and let out a gasp. It’s so huge and makes me feel like I’m a real-life princess, living in a fairy tale.

Built from pure luxury. Every detail exudes wealth.

As I take in the wide, open layout featuring a sunken bar in the corner that glows softly under ambient lighting, I notice the indoor solarium that feels like a secluded paradise.

A state-of-the-art home theater system, comparable to the one Leon has at his house and fit for a billionaire's mansion, dominates one wall.

I move across the room, running my hand along the shiny marble and mother-of-pearl bar surface, appreciating how the golden and caramel hues wrap the soaring walls in a cozy, honey-like glow, making the vast space feel surprisingly intimate.

“This is beautiful, Leon.” It’s the ultimate upgrade.

Moving over to the floor-to-ceiling windows, like an excitable child on Christmas Day, I stare out at the Fountains of Bellagio dancing beneath us, Las Vegas sparkling like a jewel under the diminishing daylight. “This is so beautiful.”

“You like it?” he asks from behind the bar.

“I love it.” If he wasn’t here, I would probably have my nose squished up against the glass to get a better look.

The loud pop of the champagne bottle opening fills the room, and I let out an excited laugh. How is this my life? Five-star everything with a man I love; life couldn’t get any better.

Leon pours two glasses of the fizzy bubbles into the champagne flutes, and I make my way to him, and we meet somewhere in the middle as he passes me my drink.

“Happy honeymoon.” He tips his glass toward mine to toast the occasion.

I scowl at him as I tap the lip of my glass against his. “Cheers. But it’s not a honeymoon, Leon.”

“What shall we call it then? Vacation sounds so boring.”

“Well, that’s easy.” I steal his words from when he carried me across the threshold. “It’s our new beginning.”

“I’ll double cheers to that.” He taps his glass to mine again, much harder this time, and they make a ching sound when they touch. Leon repeats my words like he’s testing how they sound. “Our new beginning.”

It’s about damn time.

“I think we should seal it with a kiss,” he suggests, looping his arm firmly around my waist. “To make it official.” His lips find mine, and he kisses me slowly, with the perfect amount of pressure that has me melting on the spot.

“I thought we sealed the deal already?” I tease between kisses.

“That was just the warm-up.” He sucks my bottom lip into his mouth and gently bites it. He tastes like champagne and his spicy aftershave I’ve branded into my senses.

A loud ding from Leon’s cell alerts us to a text, breaking our heated moment.

“Sorry, baby. I need to get this.” He gives me one last peck before digging his cell phone out of his back pocket and flashing me the message.

“Justin.” I read his name out loud.

“The manager from the nightclub,” Leon confirms. “We’re meeting him and his wife in the lobby in an hour because we’re going out for dinner and drinks beforehand.”

“An hour?” I gasp. I have so much to do.

Shower, curl my hair, and I’m no expert, but doing natural makeup takes much longer than you would think.

It’s just as well my black bodycon dress doesn’t need pressing.

“Okay. I can do an hour.” I move out of his hold, mild panic making an appearance.

“Let’s tear up the dance floor tonight. No rules, just fun.

” Leon pulls his shirt up over his head and steps out of his jeans, removing his socks and designer sneakers at the same time, standing proudly, now completely naked in the middle of the room.

Holy shit. He’s fucking gorgeous. Corded muscles, hard everywhere, he has the perfect V-shaped Adonis’ belt that points straight to his cock that has my name written all over it. That’s mine. He’s mine.

Setting my glass on the table, my skin flushes with nerves because I’m still getting used to seeing him naked and vice versa. I dismiss any wayward thoughts, summoning every ounce of confidence I can as I grab the hem of my summer dress to pull it up over my head.

Leon’s mood shifts the air in the room, the intensity turning up to maximum, not taking his eyes off me.

With my eyes locked with his, I let my dress fall to the floor before unclasping my bra. I slip my panties off, then toe off my white tennis shoes, leaving me standing completely naked too.

Fists clenched by his sides, Leon stalks toward me, but I put my hand up to stop him, bringing him to a halt. “I only have an hour to get ready.”

“Fuck.” He tilts his head back and asks, “Can you get ready in forty-five minutes?”

I point to his hard cock, my resistance wearing thinner by the second.

Screw it. “Thirty.” I spin around on the balls of my feet and almost skip with confidence to the shower, praying I look sexy and not awkward.

I’m all long legs and gangly arms, which my mom always said would have made me the perfect model.

But to me, I’m more like Bambi on ice. I’ve never seen myself as sexy.

“Follow me.” I crook my finger, beckoning him to join me. “We’ll shower together to save time.”

“Always so efficient.” His voice is low, without hesitation.

“Let’s make tonight a night to remember, Leon.”

“I hope you’re ready for a night you’ll never forget, baby,” he declares from behind as he follows me to the bathroom.

“There is no chance of that happening. I’ll never forget you.”

“And I’ll never forget you. You’re branded into my memory for life.”
