Family meetings
I pulled my freshly dried hair into a high poneytail before joining Cierra , by the tables.
She had drew up a list of peoples names from the academy.
"We definelty have a mole ...we just need to find out who.
" I circled the names who I think. " I think it could be Nick.
.. he is the hacker , he has access to everything and is so clever but because he is a tech guy only he doesn't get the fame or fortune as true agents.
...if I was him I would be tryna sabotage agents to. "
Cierra let out a sigh that was sort of a mix between a hippo dying and a plane burning in the air.
"That only happens in movies frosty. We need to go deeper into this and I think our first step is talking to your sisters husband."
"You just want me to indulge more in my family."
Cierra hastily agreed and I knew her she was going to give me a speach about family and how she has only one person and I had lots.
"Fine! But before I go there is something I need to tell you."
She looked up from where she was sitting, her big brown eyes curiously waiting for me to continue.
"Have you thought about a mate?"
"Like my sisters?" She questioned.
"Yea.."
"I have ...when my sister met hers and how she described loving him was really beautiful disgusting but beautiful."
Yea! I mentally screamed!
"But..."
Oh shit
"After I met you I sort of realized that you could have a total ass mate. And I don't want to be put through that I can't be as strong as you."
I sighed and sat down in the floor leaning against the bed she was sitting on.
"What if I can promise you to kick your mates ass if he ever hurts you."
"I have a mate?"
I looked down and rubbed the back of my neck.
"Yea, he and I found out today at the wedding....he really wanted to talk to you but I was afraid of your reaction...." I waited a few minutes waiting for a reaction from her but nothing came.
"Uh Cierra?"
"I don't know what to think or feel or say."
"How about you just talk to him, let him try to woo you like a normal human. And we can go from there yea?"
"As long as you trust him."
I bit my tongue...the people I have trusted tend to stab me in the back more then once.
"Lemme go see if I can catch my family, to talk to them."
I stood up and opened the room door coming face to face with Camron.
"I can't wait anymore Violet I need to hold her."
I gave him a gentle smile, the poor boy hasn't even spoken to her yet he is already so smitten.
"Cierra!"
Cierra came looking over my shoulder, her hand placed securely around her firearm in case.
"Ci this is Camron and Cam this is Cierra ...mate's"
They both stopped and just looked at each other.
Me stuck in the middle.
"So uhm...Camerra...you to just be safe and I will be back later.."
I snuck myself out the room door and down the passage , all I needed to do was find out anything about Zain and figure out my impossible life ...nothing to difficult .
I made my way down the elevator to the lobby area.
They should still be at the wedding reception.
I looked down at my clothes a simple outfit really not appropriate for the occasion but I don't think anyone would care.
There was less then an hour of sunshine left before it went dark so the reception hall was bathed in pretty colours of orange and yellow.
My sister and her bridesmaids sat on the floor stage while the males wolves drank around them laughing and cracking jokes.
That all stopped when I walked deeper into the room.
"Hey everyone."
The four packs turned and looked at me.
"I have some explaining to do."
I had to tell them as I needed to know who zain was properly. There was already a mole in the organization so I wasn't cared about getting in trouble.
"Wait So you telling me you an agent like totally spies?" Brie slapped Dylan's shoulder ...only he would bring up a childhood program to compare my life to.
"And your partner Cierra is Cams mate?" Jace stayed pulling Emma closer to him.
"Yup and I told his I would kick his ass if he hurt her."
"And your not really here to celebrate my wedding weekend, your here for work."
I walked onto stage to my sister wrapping my arms around her.
"I'm sorry love, I honestly didn't know you were getting married until the other day"
I looked up my eyes catching his forest green ones.
"But I'm here, to celebrate and work. I'm a women we can multitask."
"Honestly thought Adam can't be the same person you are looking for."
Reese had been quiet during the whole explanation About Zain Carver. Or Adam as everyone here knows him as.
"We went to high school together. His names Adam, were friends. He isn't a criminal."
I looked over at Reese , his eyes held confusion betrayal and distrust, I can't believe I was putting so much negative emotion on him on his wedding day.
"He ran as soon as he spotted us, he had our pictures in his wallet. He knocked me with his oar." I stated pointing to my bruised forehead.
"But if he isn't guilty, then we will find out , I promise."
I just got back. I wasn't going to know horns with Reese yet.
This reunion was getting a bit awkward, no one was talking or even making eyes contact.
My parents, Emma and alpha Stephan all retired from the wedding venue. Soon the Alana and Dave left to go get Elliot . Then one by one everyone got up including me.
The sun had now set and the moon was starting to shine .
I followed people out the wedding reception toward the beach, we all sat sat soaking in the moonlight in complete silence. I needed to give everyone a chance to wrap their heads around everything I say and tomorrow I'll speak to them more closely .
I leaned back on the sand and stared into the crescent moon,
"Violet?"
I looked up at Ian, through my lashes, he just stared back a look of shock and disbelief attaching across his face.
"What?" I asked sitting up straight.
I turned and looked at my sister and brother in law who sat in their wedding attire on Ian's right, they both stared back shocked.
Until my sisters eyes shone yellow, showing that Fate was at bay.
Through my sister Fate called.
"Hope?"
My stomach stirred , like something was shifting within me.
My jaw started to pain.
My sight became clearer.
Sound became clearer.
I could smell the ocean and the sand, I could smell each persons scent.
Then it was all gone.
It was back to normal . No pain . No discomfort.
"What the hell what that."
" I though you said you still didn't have a wolf." Dylan asked .
" I don't. For four years."
"Babe we just saw your wolf." Brie said her concerning eyes looking at mine.
My eyes started to well up. Could it be , was it even possible.
"I don't feel her."
"But she was there, something came out , something must of triggered her pulling back to the surface to the consciousness." Viola stated.
" maybe it's because you ran away so quickly that your wolf needed time to heal in your home." Reese carried on.
"Maybe it was seeing the family and friends you left behind."
Dylan's words were slightly laced in venom.
"Woooow ducky! I can not deal with your guilt trip right now." I said cutting Dylan off.
"Is there anything else that you did that could tie you to your wolf."
Brie asked with a more gently tone compared to her mate.
"I i-"
"I kissed her."
All of our heads snapped towards Ian .
"The mate bond could have triggered your wolf."
Immediately the group started to chatter agreeing with what Ian said. Some shocked I kissed the guy who hurt me. Some happy the moon goddess true plan was coming together.
My eyes shot around the beach trying to meet forest green ones. But he wasn't here.
What if Ian's right and his kiss is what brought back my wolf.
And is it bad that his kiss isn't the one replaying in my head the entire day.
