Chapter 25

TWENTY-FIVE

Bennett

I roll to Efa’s side, exhausted but still not sated. I never am with her. I don’t know what it is about her, but I can’t help but want more at every turn.

“You know how you said I could look into the security issues you’re having?” she says from beside me.

“You came about fifteen seconds ago and now you’re thinking about tech security. You really know how to kill the mood.”

She laughs and cups my face in her hands. “What can I say?” she replies. “Maybe I’m just so overwhelmed that I have to distract myself with thoughts of tech.”

“Okay, let’s go with that theory.” I gather her in my arms and pull her towards me, nuzzling into her neck. I don’t know why, but this part—the time between the bouts of sex, when we’re talking and feeling and just being—are becoming some of my favorite moments with Efa.

“Will you let me talk to your internal people so we can compare notes? You didn’t answer when I asked you before. And I know you think I couldn’t possibly help, but what have you got to lose?”

“Notes about what?”

“About the attacks on your systems. Some patterns I noticed. Look, I know you’ve got the best in the business working for you and everything, but I’ve been doing some investigating and I think it might be worth pursuing.”

“What have you found?” I ask, moving her legs so she’s astride me.

She pushes up on my chest and sits, my hardening dick between her folds. “Nothing that stands up on its own, but I wonder if matching it up with your people’s info might prove useful.”

How can I say no to this woman? Do I think she’s made some breakthrough about who’s attacking Fort Inc. and why they seem to be closing in on us? No. Do I think it will do any harm? Also no.

“I can introduce you to Aarvi. She heads up my security team.”

“Good,” she says, rocking her hips back and forth in an absentminded way. The movement is more instinct than trying to start anything. She’s getting comfortable. On my dick. And I don’t hate it. “Can you call her?”

“Now?” I ask, grinning up at her. “With you naked, grinding against my cock?”

“Better now than in a couple of minutes when you’ll be inside me,” she says.

Fuck, Efa . How did I ever live without her sass?

I reach up and roll her nipple between my thumb and forefinger and she gasps, tipping her head back, thrusting herself against the sensation.

“Do it now, Bennett,” she says. “Call her.” She leans forward, sliding herself up my dick, reaches for my phone on the nightstand, and tosses it onto my chest. “And be quick. I want to get laid.”

That makes two of us.

I chuckle and dial Aarvi. It doesn’t even ring once before she picks up.

“Hey, I want to put you in touch with someone I met who might have some information about the attacks. Efa Cadogan.”

“Sure,” she says. One of my favorite things about Aarvi is she doesn’t use an unnecessary amount of words when she’s talking to me. It means we can get to the meat of an issue quickly.

“You can be completely open with her.” I grin up at Efa, who circles her hips in response. If I didn’t know her better, I’d say she was using her body to get me to introduce her to Aarvi. But Efa’s not manipulative. That’s why she has such a problem not being more open with her sister. I get it. I really get it. I just can’t do anything about it. I’m not going to let the last fifteen years’ hard work keeping my identify as head of Fort Inc. a secret go to waste.

“Completely?” Aarvi asks.

I have to pause and steady my breathing as Efa grips my cock at the base, teasing the crown with her wet entrance. “Completely.” I don’t expect Efa to solve Fort’s security issues. But she’s not going to do any harm.

“Okay. Have her call me.” I manage to keep my breathing steady as Efa watches me watching her.

“I’m sure she’ll—” Efa slides down onto me and every part of me tenses. “She’ll be in touch.”

Efa nods, taking my free hand, and placing it back on her breast. I end the call and reach for a condom.

“Not yet,” she says, her breathing ragged. “First, I want to come.”

“Again?” I ask, teasingly.

“And again. And again. And again.”
