Chapter 8 Running Into My Ex

After I finished packing, Fu Jiye drove me out to eat.

He picked a Sichuan Restaurant.

I loved spicy food. I had not expected him to still remember.

I quietly gave Fu Jiye another point.

His mouth was a little mean, but his heart was not that black.

^v^

When the dishes were served, I saw that everything in front of Fu Jiye was not spicy.

Everything in front of me was what I loved.

I tapped his bowl.

"You can't eat spicy food?"

Fu Jiye looked up at me. "I can barely handle a little."

"Then why come to a Sichuan Restaurant? We could have eaten something else."

"As long as you like it, I can eat anything."

Damn. What was this.

I had to admit, this move from Fu Jiye got to me a little.

When I used to eat with Gu Qunian, I was always the one who accommodated him.

I had not eaten spicy food in a long time. I missed that taste badly.

I had not expected Fu Jiye, just back from abroad, to make it happen for me.

"Fine. If you used this on chasing a girlfriend, you would have scored ages ago."

Fu Jiye suddenly stared straight at me. "Then is chasing you all right?"

Right then, a voice sounded behind me.

"Liao Xing?"

I turned and saw an old acquaintance.

I had not expected to run into Gu Qunian, who could not touch a drop of spice, at a Sichuan Restaurant.

If I remembered right, this place was not cheap. How could he bear to eat here?

Then I saw the other person in the inner seat: Li Yuqiu.

That explained it.

I could not help a cold laugh.

"Damn it, you two-faced dog!"

He was willing enough to eat out with her. When he was with me, he had been stingy to death.

Gu Qunian looked confused. "Are you cursing me?"

Then he quickly put on a cold face.

"Liao Xing, I know I forgot your birthday last night. That was my fault. But we already broke up. You do not have to chase me here, do you?"

"Actually, Li Yuqiu was just an excuse. I was simply tired of you."

I gave a cold snort. "Gu Qunian, do not gild your own face. You think I cannot live without you? It was just for fun. Who cannot do that?"

I turned and took Fu Jiye's hand.

I lifted it to show off and waved it in front of him.

"And very sorry, I already have a new flame. A hundred times better than you."

Fu Jiye was dressed in name brands. He was tall, his figure was good, and he looked very handsome.

I had to admit it. He looked like a refined little heir.

Beside him, I looked more like a walking troublemaker.

Gu Qunian watched me with a heavy face, then looked at Fu Jiye beside me, who was playing along with my act.

He shook his head lightly.

"Liao Xing, can you stop this? We are all adults. This behavior is a bit too childish."

"I calmed down last night too. If you can fix your temper, I can reluctantly forgive you."

"I still have not thrown out your things at home."

Me: ???

"No, Gu Qunian. How did I never notice before that you were this shameless?"

Gu Qunian pushed up his glasses and spoke coldly. "I know him. Fu Jiye, the eldest young master of the Fu Family, just back from abroad. Excellent grades. Countless awards."

"You think he would look at you?"

Fu Jiye's reputation was well known. He had also been the campus heartthrob of the year above at school.

After he went abroad, plenty of people still took him as a model.

Gu Qunian, always so studious, was the same.
