Chapter 8 The Truth
If I had only suspected before, her expression confirmed it—the person who called was definitely her!
I said angrily, “Why did you call me? What were you trying to do?”
“And did my Husband really cheat?”
The secretary struggled free. “Miss Su! President Pei told me to make that call. I don’t know anything!”
I looked at Pei Muchen in shock. “Brother Muchen, it was you?”
“Tell me! Which of my Husbands cheated!”
Pei Muchen said angrily, “Enough!”
“Su Wan, at this point, does it matter which Husband cheated?”
“Don’t you need to explain to me why you have three Husbands?”
I wasn’t stupid.
Pei Muchen’s words meant he hadn’t known I had three Husbands.
So there was only one answer.
The one who cheated was my official Husband, Fu Zeyan!!!
“Fine! I knew it was him!”
“Fu Zeyan, that heartless man, actually betrayed me!”
“No, I’m flying abroad right now. I’ll make him and that mistress pay!”
Unexpectedly, that seemed to break Pei Muchen even more.
“Enough! I said enough!”
“Su Wan, when will you finally look at me properly?”
“How am I worse than Fu Zeyan?”
He gripped my shoulders, trapping me between the chair and him, with a bitter laugh.
“I even thought about being your third.”
“I didn’t expect I wouldn’t even rank sixth!”
The love in his eyes was crazy and obsessive. It made my heart tremble.
“Brother Muchen, you...”
“When did you start liking me?”
Pei Muchen said, “From the first moment I saw you.”
“But your eyes have only ever had Fu Zeyan!”
“I beg you, look at me. Please look at me.”
I was a stubborn, traditional woman. I could never accept this forbidden sibling relationship.
I refused immediately. “No! We can’t. You’re my Brother!”
“If Mom and Dad knew you felt this way about me, they’d be heartbroken!”
Yet Pei Muchen lowered his head and forcibly kissed my lips. I struggled but couldn’t break free. I bit down hard, but he only kissed more fiercely until I was breathless. Only then did he release me and gently wipe the blood from his mouth under my shocked gaze.
“You’re a Su. I’m a Pei. What kind of siblings are we?”
The shock was too much. My vision went black and I passed out.
