Chapter 14 Shen Xingye’s Rescue
No wonder she's such a loyal servant.
I grabbed Sister's hand and said, "Thank you!"
Then I turned and bolted outside.
Pei Muchen hadn't let me wear shoes, so I ran out onto the street in nothing but a big red lace lingerie set. I tried to flag down a car, but no one stopped—they all thought I was trying to scam them.
Finally, one car pulled up.
A bald middle-aged man leaned out.
"Little girl, where you headed?"
I thought: Damn, he's ugly.
I stumbled back in horror.
My foot caught on something, and I fell straight into a warm chest.
I thrashed instinctively. "Get off me! Don't touch me!"
Then a familiar voice whispered in my ear. "Sister, don't be afraid—it's me."
I whipped around.
Shen Xingye's bright, handsome face stared back at me.
Tears sprang to my eyes. I stood on tiptoes and kissed him hard.
He froze for a second.
Then he kissed me back like he was starving.
"Sister, you're extra passionate today..."
How could I not be?
I almost got dragged into a wedding and never saw him again.
I needed this.
After a long time, I finally pulled away and asked, "How did you find me?"
Shen Xingye rubbed his nose, looking a little guilty.
"You called me out of nowhere, said something weird, then hung up just as fast."
"I got worried, so I had someone track your location."
He shrugged off his leather jacket and draped it over me.
Then he leaned in close, breath hot against my ear. "Sister dressed like this—who were you out playing with?"
His voice sent shivers down my spine.
I whimpered and buried myself in his arms, clinging to his waist.
"Wah... My Brother came back. He tried to force me to marry him."
Shen Xingye's eyes darkened. "Which Brother? Pei Muchen?"
I blinked. "How did you know?"
He swore under his breath, pulled out his phone, and dialed.
"Big Brother, Second Brother—someone's crashing the party!"
"That Pei Muchen kid actually wants to marry Wanwan? We haven't even had our weddings yet—why the hell should he get one?"
"Yeah, Wanwan escaped. She's with me now."
"Good. I'll wait for you."
I stared at him in shock. "Who... who did you just call?"
Shen Xingye gave me a cool, smug look. "Sister, this is man business. Stay out of it."
"Just remember—in front of me, I'm your only Husband."
"Be good. Feet cold? Press them against Husband's abs. Husband will warm you up."
He scooped me up, set me on the still-warm motorcycle tank, lifted his shirt, and tucked my bare feet against his skin.
I sat there, feet on his hot abs, but my whole body was shaking.
Oh my God.
The Big Brother and Second Brother he called...
They couldn't be Qi Qian and Fu Zeyan... right?
