Chapter 27 #2
“Octavia…Don’t stop, okay? Please, don’t stop.” Coming made my vision blur. My hearing briefly faded as blood rushed to the place receiving the utmost care and attention.
I didn’t see stars; just Octavia in all her long locs, steady gaze, firm grip glory.
Her fingers curled, pressing into me harder as her mouth worked on miracles on my clit.
My toes curled, body arching into the pleasure so it’d consume every inch of my soul.
Octavia pulled back a little in surprise when a rush of wetness hit her chin.
She recovered quickly, lapping up everything I offered.
“See what you do to me?” My whisper was strained. “I can’t even see straight with how wet I am for you.”
Her eyes nearly rolled into the back of her head as more wetness squirted from me.
Octavia’s lower body twitched as if she were on the verge of an orgasm from tasting me.
The heavy moan she buried into my pussy indicated she was finishing alongside me again.
My thighs shook, breath unsteady. I couldn’t think of anything but how my muscles squeezed around her fingers as if they were attempting to seal this connection forever.
“Did I…” she whispered once I started to come down. Octavia studied the excessive wetness staining the bed.
“Make me squirt on your first try? A little,” I teased, laughing as my body twitched from echoes of pleasure.
“You’ve done more?” Octavia raised an impressed brow.
I nodded, my eyes half-closed as I enjoyed my post-climax high. “Sometimes.”
“But this one still counts.” She smiled, so incredibly pleased with herself.
“Of course it counts.” I shuddered around the last bit of the orgasm. Her fingers were still inside, slowing but not stopping those gentle pumps. “It definitely counts.”
She let out the sweetest sigh. My heartstrings tugged, tied to her satisfaction and her need to please.
“Come here.” I reached for Octavia, pulling her in for a kiss. She melted into me, utterly trusting, and I felt even more determined to meet any demand she gave. To do whatever it took to keep her safe and in my arms.
“You were perfect,” I whispered against her lips.
She wrinkled her nose, cute but not believing me for a second.
I shook my head, determined she knew and believed the truth. I gave her another kiss and whispered, “Absolutely perfect.”
We took shelter underneath the sheets, holding on to one another as we caught our breath.
I couldn’t get enough of her smell and buried my nose in the crook of her neck.
I wanted to get closer somehow, but there was nothing closer than having her mouth on me.
Her fingers inside me. Her first orgasm with a woman was mine to keep.
“Do you think they know?” she whispered after we calmed down enough to come back to Earth. “What we did? What we’re doing?”
I pushed myself up on my elbow so I could easily peer down at her. “Maybe. Or maybe they think we’re just having a very intense conversation.”
“For more than an hour?”
When I pressed my hand against her cheek, Octavia closed her eyes.
My thumb rubbed a few small circles onto her skin before she turned to kiss my palm.
She traced kisses down to my wrist, forearm, and then back up again.
Heat returned between my legs when she playfully bit the corner of my palm before pulling away.
“I don’t want to leave,” I whispered
I shouldn’t be doing this here and now. Shouldn’t pile on stressors for a client I needed to remain calm and happy.
“Hm?” She stared up at me, those big brown eyes on the hunt for why my voice was so breathy. Her locs fanned out on the pillow, creating a thick, dark crown. The smile she wore was carefree. A rare state. Something I shouldn’t ruin with my wayward longing. It was selfish. This was so selfish of me.
“I don’t want to leave,” I repeated with less feeling. “Get out of bed and get back to work. I’m…tired.”
I wanted her to think it was post-sex exhaustion.
Not the true, frightening feeling that I thought about everything the room we were in stood for.
The RV was my escape, and yet, I could barely stand the look of it these days.
Not after spending so much time in her home with foundations and fireplaces and dreams.
Usually, I was firmly planted in the here and now. But I couldn’t help thinking that eventually, the engine of this thing was going to come to life and take me far away from here. From her.
“We have hours until we have to face tomorrow. And maybe I’ll give you tomorrow morning off…if you’re lucky, maybe we’ll spend it together.”
“Yeah?” I smiled, bursting with warmth at the thought of extra time with her.
Octavia nodded. “Yeah…But, Rae, that’s not what you meant.”
My heart rate changed, in sync with the twisting in my stomach. “What?”
She studied me for a second, taking in every change in my frightening gaze. “You weren’t talking about leaving the bed.”
My mouth went dry. “Wasn’t I?”
“You’re going to deny it?”
I sniffed and repositioned myself, scooting farther down the bed.
She sat up too, her warm apple spice scent floating under my nose and reminding me how much I craved to go another round and taste her again.
I’d start with that lovely collarbone, ending with that beautiful clit.
I gave in, kissing her for a taste and reprieve from the tightness around my throat.
She responded to my desperation with patience, allowing me to kiss her as long as I wanted.
“I see you,” she murmured, gentle as she reached for my hand. “Sometimes…when you let me.”
I was out of breath, watching as she entwined our fingers. “I must be slacking. "
The mask I wore for others had become too slippery to stay on the longer I spent with her.
Octavia moved closer, her legs entangling with mine. She pressed her lips against my bare shoulder, adorning me with kisses. The affection burned and healed. I didn’t know whether it’d be best to pull away or demand she never stop.
“You don’t want to leave.” My shoulder blade muffled her words. “But you can’t stay.”
“Who says I can’t stay?” A life with her was a blurry image now, but that didn’t mean it’d stay that way.
Her laugh was as low and soft as a whisper. “I wouldn’t let you.”
“Bold of you to assume I’d follow any order,” I mused, only half-teasing.
Octavia took a deep breath and pulled back enough so that I could see her face. “Please, Rae, don’t act like…we have a chance.”
“I’m not acting.”
She frowned. “You really think something could work between us? With me at Elmwood and you everywhere?”
I shrugged, even though her words made my image melt. “Maybe?”
“Rae.” Octavia swallowed and pulled away. She untangled herself from the bedsheets and reached for her clothes. I stayed quiet, my chest caving in as a gulf formed between us with every movement she made.
After Octavia finished dressing, she stood at the end of the bed, wringing her hands. “I could never give up Elmwood. I want this to be my home. Especially after what’s happened. Seeing you and your team—your family — makes this place feel alive. I want this. ”
“And I’d never ask you to give it up.”
“No,” she agreed with a nod. “But being with you is asking me to give up some part of me. That part will always mourn not having you close.”
I closed my eyes for a second, imagining myself on the road again, calling her late at night in some dodgy motel, or in the middle of some national park.
Her voice would be miles away. I’d look for time off to fly to her on weekends between jobs.
The novelty of it all would sustain us for some time.
But when the novelty waned and stressors mounted, one of us would have the grievous task of breaking up.
“It’s a crush,” Octavia promised without meeting my gaze. “Paired with a stressful time.”
I slipped out of bed.
“It’s a hookup…” Her voice faded as she watched me come closer.
My mouth was on hers, determined and needy. I parted her lips, swiping my tongue against hers before moving down to her neck, collarbone, breasts, and waist. I unzipped her pants and helped her step out of them before pulling her panties to the side.
She covered her mouth, moaning into her palm as soon as my tongue met her clit. Her back pressed against the wall. I urged one leg over my shoulder and looked up to watch her free-fall.
Octavia’s thumb massaged circles onto my cheeks. She maintained eye contact as I teased her until she was whimpering, “Please, please.”
Her orgasm was savory. I closed my eyes, getting lost in the soft and warm heaven.
Octavia quivered against me as she came.
I spread her lips apart, not wanting to waste a drop.
When she couldn’t take it anymore, I offered her a reprieve.
I tugged off her shirt, taking a nipple between my lips.
She arched into me, her pussy pressed against my thigh, all swollen and soaked from my attempt at providing her an obvious example of how much this wasn’t just some crush.
“It’s more than whatever you just called it,” I whispered, almost pleading once she finally caught her breath. “Don’t pretend otherwise; it’s infuriating.”
“What would be infuriating would be to say goodbye if we get any closer.” Her chest rose and fell quickly, pressing her hard nipples against my own aroused points.
I shook my head. “It’s too late for that. We can only go forward.”
“What would that even look like?”
“As much as I like to pretend,” I teased, half-heartedly. “I don’t know all the answers.”
“Rae,” she complained in a whisper.
I brushed my nose against hers and nodded. “I know, I’m caught up in this, too. We’ll find our way out together.”
