Bonus Chapter A Night to Remember
It was a quiet evening at the Tate estate. The kids had finally gone to bed-Aurora, Liana, and little Matteo had put on a full musical performance in the living room before collapsing in a pile of pillows and giggles. Layla had just finished tucking them in when she returned downstairs to find Jasper waiting for her.
In the dim candlelight of their private terrace, he stood holding a small box.
Layla raised an eyebrow. "Another surprise? Jasper, we already have twins, a baby on the way, and a full house of love."
He stepped closer, that signature smirk dancing on his lips. "And somehow, I still feel like it's not enough. You've given me everything... but I want to give you more."
She tilted her head, a soft laugh escaping her lips. "You already gave me your entire empire."
He opened the box. Inside sat a delicate necklace with five tiny charms-two stars for the twins, one moon for the baby on the way, and two intertwined hearts.
"One for you," he said, "and one for me. Because no matter what, Layla... we're always a team."
She blinked, tears prickling her eyes. "You're going to make me cry again, Mr. Tate."
"Good," he murmured, leaning in. "Because I love you, Mrs. Tate. More every day."
They kissed under the stars, the world quiet around them for the first time in a long time.
From the window upstairs, Lina and Camille peeked out with big grins.
"They're so dramatic," Camille whispered.
"True," Lina said, "but they earned it."
Meanwhile, Alya and Elias, cuddled up with baby Matteo snoring on Elias' chest, laughed quietly as Layla tripped over a garden gnome mid-kiss.
"Real romance," Alya said, "is laughing through the mess."
And it was.
Because this family wasn't built on perfection-it was built on healing, second chances, and loving each other harder with every chaotic, wonderful day.
And that night, as stars shone above and little feet kicked softly in dreams, the Tates slept wrapped in love.
