Chapter 28 #2

“Oh,” I moan, as I rock against my hand. I squeeze my nipple tighter, twisting it to add a bite of pain to the pleasure.

“Put another finger in then tell me what you feel.”

I slip another finger into me and moan. “I… Oh. It feels so good.”

“So good, what?”

Oh. He wasn’t kidding.

“It feels so good, Sir.” My breath hitches as I pump my fingers in and out of my channel.

“Close your eyes. I want you to pretend it’s my cock that’s fucking you.”

With my eyes closed every sensation is heightened. Goosebumps erupt over my skin, my breath quickens, my heart pounds in my chest. I increase my pace and add a third finger, needing more. It’s not enough. Nothing comes close to the feel of Kai’s cock fucking into me.

“I need… more,” I whimper, then add, “Sir.”

The phone vibrates next to my head where I chucked it. I look over to see him trying to switch to FaceTime. I hastily accept, my fingers fumbling with the button.

Kai’s perfect face fills the screen, and I sigh in appreciation. “You better not have stopped, Hurricane,” he growls.

It’s only at his words do I realise I’d slowed my pace with my fingers. I start circling my clit harder as I grasp the phone tightly in my hand. “Show me what you’re doing, Tess.”

“Wait. Hang on.”

I place the phone down on the pillow, then pull my shorts off completely, before picking it back up. I hold the phone up until Kai can see me with my fingers pushing into my pussy and thumb rubbing my swollen clit.

He groans down the line and the sound sends heat racing under my skin.

“Such a pretty pussy. Look at you, glistening and needy for me.”

There’s some shuffling on the other side and when I flick my eyes to the screen I freeze at the sight of his hard cock, thick and veiny and straining as he slowly pumps his fist up and down in silken movements. My mouth waters and I lick my lips.

“This is what you do to me, Tess. I want you so badly.”

I struggle for gasps of air, and I know my eyes are as wide as saucers as I increase my pace with my fingers. I focus on Kai’s cock and imagine that’s what I’m feeling inside me.

He starts pumping his hand in time with me fucking my fingers. A steady hum of pleasure ignites under my skin. “Kai,” I whisper as the pressure builds higher.

“You’re doing so good. So perfect. Come for me, Tess.”

I force my eyes to stay open so I can watch Kai stroke himself to release as my climax washes over me so forcefully my vision blurs. Electricity skates over my skin. Kai pumps his cock twice more then grunts as spurts of cum hit his stomach.

I let my head fall back onto the pillow as I calm my breathing.

Kai goes out of view for a few minutes, then returns as he props himself up on the headboard behind him.

“You’re still at Nate and Carina’s?” I ask, recognising the backdrop.

He sighs, exhaustion heavy in his features. “Yeah. Enzo had some of his guys sort out my house, so it’s habitable again. But Nate’s adamant that I shouldn’t be alone while I’m still not walking properly.”

“But you are walking?”

“Sort of, yeah.”

“I didn’t think you were miraculously healed. Unless you’re hiding your God status?”

He smirks, his eyes shining. “I didn’t realise I’d hidden it so well.”

My laugh bursts free and we just grin at each other for a while.

“How are you coping with a lack of control over things at the moment?” I ask and immediately regret it when his carefree expression hardens.

“If I don’t think about it, it’s fine.”

“Sorry,” I wince.

He scrubs a hand over his face. “It’s okay. I’m just bored of having so much time to think. Nate brought me a new laptop since all my computers were trashed in the break-in. That’s been a good distraction.”

“What are you searching for?”

“How to get you home quicker. I’m researching everything I can about the Russians.”

“Do you know why it’s taking longer than expected? Enzo has been very quiet about it.”

“Yeah. It’s because they're worried about there being another traitor.” Before I can panic, he goes on, “There’s no evidence of it. But they’re being extra cautious.”

I humph. “Makes sense, I guess. I just want this to be done now though.”

“Not enjoying being holed away with Nico?” he grumbles, his disdain for the situation very clear.

“Nico’s… fine. But I miss you. And Carina. I want to get back to my life. Or at least… this new version of my life where everything is fucked. But less fucked than Russian Mafia level fucked, you know?”

He laughs. “Yeah, that would be nice.”

We chat for a little while, well, mostly I talk at him, and he listens. Eventually though, I can’t keep my eyes open any longer.

“I’m sleepy,” I yawn, which sets Kai off too, his yawn taking over his whole face.

“Go to sleep, Hurricane.”

“I don’t want to hang up,” I pout. “I miss you.”

He smiles sadly. “Sleep. You can keep the call on, then I’ll be here to tell you good morning when you wake up.”

“You’d do that?”

“Of course.”

“For someone that says he’s never done relationships, that’s very boyfriendy.”

“Only for you.”

I smile as I snuggle deeper into the bed, tucking the duvet around me and placing the phone next to my head.

“Night, Kai,” I murmur.

“Night, Tess.”

Kai

I wake to the sound of Tess’s quiet snores filling my phone. I listen to her breathing for a while, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me.

I never thought I’d have this. Someone to care about this way, someone who cares about me. I closed myself off to the idea of love after watching my parents’ marriage—and the wreckage left behind in its wake.

It certainly never occurred to me that the person I’d want it with would be the living embodiment of chaos.

My Hurricane.

There’s a tiny part of me whispering in my ear that everything is going to go wrong. It has to. That’s what happens when you let someone in. They hurt you. Or they die.

I’ve never had a girlfriend. I’ve had hookups, but that’s the closest I’ve come.

But Tess… I want everything from her. I want to give her everything. She makes me want to lose control.

It’s dangerous. But I’m too far gone to stop it.

Tess yawns, and I see one of her arms fly over the screen as she stretches. It takes a few minutes for her to remember that the phone is on, but then her sleep rumpled face (creases and all) fills the phone.

“Mornin’,” she says, yawning again.

“Morning, Hurricane.”

Her smile sends lightning through my spine. “I look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards,” she groans, trying to smooth her unruly hair that’s sticking up in every direction.

“You look adorable.”

She blushes but waves me off.

Enzo bounces the door open to my room without knocking. Typical. I don’t even understand why he’s still here. He should be in America where Tess and the Russians are. “We’re making our move tomorrow. Don’t tell Tess, I don’t want to get her hopes up unless it’s certain, but it should be over soon.”

I raise an eyebrow at him just as Tess screeches, “I might get to go home!?”

“Fuck.” He scrubs his hand down his face in exasperation.

Then Nico's voice comes through the phone. “I want my phone back.”

Nate and Carina choose that moment to walk into my room (also unannounced).

“Christ, it’s like piccadilly circus in here,” I grumble and Tess laughs.

“I guess I better go, but I’ll talk to you later,” Tess says. I look at her smiling face seeing her grin widen. “Maybe even see you!”

“Bye, Hurricane.”

“Bye, Tess!” Carina shouts just as the call cuts out. She then directs a glare at me. “I can’t believe you’ve stolen my best friend from me.”

Enzo clutches his chest like he’s in pain. “I’m your best friend, bella.6”

Carina just rolls her eyes and swats him on the shoulder. “You’re my best male friend; she’s my best girl friend.”

Enzo grumbles under his breath, crossing his arms in front of him with a moody expression.

“So… you said you’re making your move?” I say, after a pause of silence.

Enzo immediately snaps back into Mafia mode, his posture straightening, jaw tightening.

“Yep. We’ve gathered our most trusted men, ones who have proven their loyalty. We’re going to storm their stronghold.”

“What are you still doing here?” I ask the question that’s been burning in my mind the past two weeks.

Enzo’s jaw tightens and his eyes narrow. “There’s been sightings of Petrov over here, so Papa instructed me to stay here and check it out.”

“Why would Petrov be here?” I ask, apprehension swirling inside me.

He runs a hand through his hair. “I don’t know. I’ve had some guys tailing him, he’s been meeting with a woman. Don’t know why.”

“Do we know who the woman is?”

“Anastasia Volkova.”

“And she is…”

“A legend,” Enzo states simply. I stare at him pointedly until he sighs and continues. “She is thought to be one of the deadliest women in Russia. An assassin.”

“The fuck? What is she doing here?”

“No clue. Yet. She’s gone now though; my men have tracked her to New York. I’m heading back home today, ready for our attack tomorrow.”

“How are you going to get there in time?”

Enzo rolls his eyes. “I won’t if you keep yapping.”

I almost growl at him. “I don’t yap.”

Nate smirks, choosing this moment to speak up. “I don’t know man. You are more talkative than usual. Tess is rubbing off on you.”

“She’s rubbing something,” Carina adds playfully.

Enzo’s face twists in disgust. “That’s my sister.” He checks his watch. “I really need to go. The city is eight hours away as it is.”

With that Enzo gives us all a quick goodbye then he’s gone.

I feel so fucking useless holed up here, in an entirely different country, while Enzo jets off to save my girlfriend.

I have no control over this situation. I haven’t had any control since Tess barged into my life, leaving havoc in her wake.

Until this moment, I’d started to think that I was fine with it. That it wasn’t as bad as I imagined, that losing control was okay.

But now? Now that I’m really thinking about it? It feels like I’m choking on air and my vision blurs.

I’m not okay.
