Henry #2
Draco shook his head. “Come on. You know Eduard better than that. What’s the first thing that’ll happen when someone snubs one of us? Imagine if they’re rude to you or Sawyer.”
“He’ll do that freeze thing he does.”
Draco nodded.
Henry’d only seen it once, when they’d met with the first architect for the house, before they’d met Sawyer and Draco.
Henry had been pretty excited about the meeting, and he’d been throwing ideas out left and right.
Eduard hadn’t minded at all, simply made notes to add to their list, but the architect had turned up his nose and asked Eduard to ‘get him under control.’
Needless to say, Eduard had frozen and his eyes had sharpened.
Henry now knew that he’d partially shifted, his eyes turning to his eagle form.
He’d caught the man in his gaze and his voice had been so cold it had sent a tremble down Henry’s spine.
“You’re fired,” Eduard had said. “You have one minute to pack your belongings and get off this property. I will make sure my father is aware of your lack of propriety.”
The man had immediately realized the error of his ways. “I’m so sorry, Mr. Eastaughffe. I didn’t mean to offend—”
“Andvari, get him out of my sight.”
Henry had sat there in amazement as Andvari grabbed the man’s laptop, shoved it and his plans into his briefcase then shuttled him out the door. “Eduard, you didn’t have to—”
“No one insults you. No one.”
Henry returned his attention to Draco, the memory so fresh in his mind it could have happened yesterday.
Draco adjusted his hold on Henry, managing to get them closer than before somehow. “The griffins are a proud clan, and Eduard is extremely proud to be with us. Never doubt that, okay? And if you ever start to worry, just look at him. See the way he watches you.”
“He does that to all of us. He sees.”
“Exactly. Eagle eyes and all that,” Draco teased. “And even though we’ll do our best to not look like assholes in front of his clan, Eduard won’t let them put us down.”
Henry nodded. “Come on. I want to go see him now.”
Draco lowered Henry to his feet and straightened his clothes.
Henry linked their fingers together and led them out into the main room where Andvari was standing on the platform wearing a ridiculously hot suit.
Eduard was practically drooling over him as Bebe fussed over Andvari, tugging fabric until it laid just so against Andvari’s body.
Henry walked right over to Eduard and leaned into him. When he had his attention, Henry pushed up onto his toes and kissed him gently. “Thank you for doing this,” Henry said. “I can’t wait to see what you’ll pick for me.”
Eduard cupped his hand over Henry’s cheek and smiled. “You’re beautiful as you are.”
“But come on,” Henry grinned, “I’m gonna look hot in one of those suits.”
“That you will, love. Why don’t you go on back with Sawyer? You two can try things on together. But you must come out and show me, deal?”
Henry nodded, eager for the first time to see what all the fuss was about.
He skipped back behind the screen and found Sawyer stripped down to his boxers while a man knelt in front of him with a long measuring tape in his hands.
Sawyer meeped when the guy reached between his legs and nestled the tape up by his cock.
“Thirty-two-inch inseam,” the man said. Another guy stood off to the side with a clipboard and he scribbled the number down.
“All done,” the tailor said with a smile. “Are you next?”
He glanced at Henry who nodded.
Sawyer still looked a bit shocked.
“Didn’t you go to prom?” Henry asked. He’d been measured when he ordered his tux but hadn’t had to strip to his underwear to do it.
“No. I didn’t go,” Sawyer said.
“Okay. Well this is normal.”
“I’m sorry, sir,” the tailor said. “I didn’t know you were unfamiliar with the process.”
“It’s okay.” Sawyer gulped, still slightly uncomfortable.
“Can you guys get him something to try on while you measure me? It would probably help if he wasn’t in his underwear.”
“Certainly, sir.”
Henry stripped down to his boxers quickly then let the tailor move him around as he got the measurements he needed.
The other guy came back in the room pushing a loaded rack, and he handed the first outfit to Sawyer.
They finished Henry’s measurements next then handed him a set of clothes as well.
Sawyer had a pair of dark tan shorts and an olive-green T-shirt.
They’d given Henry navy shorts and a light blue top that matched his eyes.
Sawyer had already pulled the clothes on before Henry was finished getting measured and he looked down at the casual outfit in confusion. “I thought we needed fancy clothes.”
Henry pulled on his own and stared at them in the full-length mirror behind the screen. “I have a feeling we’re getting new wardrobes. Eduard doesn’t do anything by halves.”
“You guys ready yet?” Eduard called from the other side of the screen.
Sawyer shook his head, laughing when one of the assistants put a hat on his head. The other had a pair of shoes ready for him to slip his feet into. “Oh, good grief.”
Henry laughed as a pair of sunglasses was slipped onto his face. “It’s fun. Just go with it.”
They joined hands and did a fake super model walk out to the platform where they struck a pose.
Eduard laughed and hopped up to look them both over.
“You look great. Are you happy? Comfortable?” They both nodded.
“Amazing. Bebe, make sure they get these in different colors. Henry’s shorts are a touch long don’t you think? Perhaps a slight hem?”
Bebe was still fussing over Andvari, who was now scowling in a pair of black slacks and a snug gray v-neck shirt that showed off every single one of his muscles, but he turned to stare at Henry.
He nodded his agreement as one of the tailors came over to him and marked an adjustment.
It was so weird. Luckily, Henry’s attention was still on Andvari.
He really wanted to go touch, but before he could, Bebe bustled them back behind the screen and handed them each another outfit.
“This one, darling. You’ll look amazing. Oh, it’s so fun having a blank canvas! Eduard, darling, we should call a stylist to come give the boys a little trim while we wait for alterations. I can have lunch catered! It’ll be wonderful!”
“Can you get someone on such short notice?” Eduard asked.
Bebe trilled out a laugh, and Henry became more convinced than ever that Bebe was something other. That sound could not have been made by a human. “For me? Darling, they’ll be here soon. This is so fun!”
Henry laughed and swore he’d call Eduard darling for the next week just to drive him crazy.
It’d be fun! But he couldn’t deny that Bebe’s enthusiasm was catching.
He and Sawyer tried on their next outfit and went out to find more approvals.
He didn’t know how they’d managed to do it, but each thing they put on was made for them.
Sawyer wouldn’t have looked good in the plaid shirt Henry had on, and Henry couldn’t imagine wearing the rusty red color of Sawyer’s next shirt.
They fit well too, although Henry had to suffer through Bebe tugging and pinning at the dress pants he tried on next.
Apparently, they didn’t show off his assets to Bebe’s high standards.
Draco was out on the platform when they came out again, and Henry nearly swallowed his tongue at the sight of him in tight black pants and a white button down shirt that Bebe had unbuttoned several times to show what should be an illegal amount of skin and the dark shadow of his chest hair.
But it worked on Draco, making him look really sexy.
He caught Henry’s gaze and grinned wickedly.
“Later,” Henry promised.
The morning passed with more clothes than Henry cared to think about.
Eduard had only vetoed a couple things he’d tried on, while Bebe had fussed over the fit of a few others.
He had belts and shoes and hats to match, as did Sawyer.
He could only imagine how much this was setting Eduard back, but the griffin looked so happy it really must not have mattered.
Bebe gave them each back one of the casual outfits from the beginning, scowling at the clothes they’d worn into his studio as he handed them to an assistant. Sawyer wrapped his arms around Henry’s waist and hooked his chin over Henry’s shoulder.
“That wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.”
“Nope. It was fun.”
“I didn’t think it would be.”
“Trust Eduard, right? He wouldn’t have made us do it if it wasn’t fun. Kinda like going to his estate. We’ll have fun there, too. I mean, didn’t you notice the beach clothes? We’re gonna be by a beach, Sawyer. A beach.”
“Yeah. I haven’t had a vacation in a long time. It’ll be nice to be there with you guys.”
“Hey, have you ever been to a clambake? I don’t even know exactly what a clambake is, but I want to have one.”
“I’m sure all you’ll have to do is ask Eduard. He’ll make it happen.”
“Oh, do you think he has a yacht? He’s rich enough to have a yacht, right?”
Sawyer laughed and squeezed him tighter.
“I don’t have a yacht, but my father does,” Eduard called.
Henry wiggled out of Sawyer’s hold and ran out to the main part of the room again. Several piles of bags were situated by the door. “Thank you so much, Eduard. And also, yacht. How fun is that?”
“Fun,” Eduard promised.
“Thank you, Eduard,” Sawyer said. He joined Henry and wrapped his arms around their griffin mate. “That was pretty amazing.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it. We’ll head to the estate after lunch. I can’t wait to show you both my home.”
