Chapter 16 #3
Momma’s jaw practically hits the floor. “Oh, my Lord.” She turns to me, her face flushed with color. “Baby, I think I’d really like to find that water closet now.”
“You and me both.” I have to clear my throat and look away, because I don’t know if I can look her in the eye after this.
On screen, my god-nephew is kneeling in front of a man with the biggest cock I’ve ever seen.
It puts even Bubba’s dick to shame. His face is coated in cum as the other guy slowly tugs his spent cock.
I feel like I’m going to be sick, because Jay is like family to me, and I ain’t into incest. God knows what Momma’s thinking.
There’s a man preparing to blast Jaden from here to Kingdom Cumdump, and knowing what a prude Daddy’s always been, I doubt facials were ever in their wheelhouse.
Fuck. And now it’s immediately where my mind wanders.
I groan, slamming my eyes shut and shaking my head, trying to dislodge the mental image.
“What’s a water closet?” Ezra asks.
“The bathroom,” I say to him, then I point to my right, motioning toward the stairs so Momma knows where to go. “It’s just up there. Our room is to the right.” As mom heads upstairs, I spot Ezra, eyeing me curiously.
“What’s wrong?” I mouth, but he just shakes his head.
“I think I’m going to be sick,” Bubba says. When I look over, he’s staring up at the ceiling, his head tilted at an awkward angle.
“Don’t worry about Dad,” Jay says to Pete, snuggling in closer.
Pete’s got his hand on Jaden’s hip, gripping tightly as he stares at the video of Jay on screen, dazed.
“He’s always super protective. He’s just mad I found the love of my life so much quicker than him.
” He taps the tip of Pete’s nose. “Okay, here’s the other part I was telling you about. ”
Pete swallows, his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down. “I didn’t think you were serious.” He looks over at me for support, I guess. “He can’t be serious, can he? People don’t do that here, do they?” His hand tightens around Jaden’s hip, thumb brushing back and forth. “Fuck, little man.”
“Don’t do what?” I ask.
Jay cozies even closer to Pete, resting his head on my brother’s chest. “Ignore Johnny. Keep your eyes on the screen. The guy in the video only let me do it once, and it’s a blink-and-you-miss-it situation.”
“Holy hell,” Pete whispers. On the television set, a big, perky ass fills the screen, and then the guy bends over, exposing his hole. Jaden’s face approaches the man, his tongue poking out, aimed at the dude’s entrance.
He’s got to be shittin’ me. I was outside for all of five minutes. What the hell could’ve happened in here to prompt a family viewing of a Jaden Jenkins sex tape.
Unfortunately, Bubba chooses this exact moment to dry-heave, causing him to move his head, his eyes inadvertently traveling across the screen as Jay’s tongue touches the guy’s hole.
Bubba’s entire face goes green, and he covers his mouth with his hand, rushing to the downstairs bathroom, looking like a cartoon character.
“Fuck,” Pete says. “You just licked that man’s ass.”
Jaden nods proudly. “I sure did, sir. I licked it really, really good.” His tongue travels across his lips. “It’s not the only thing I’m good at licking, Daddy.”
“Daddy?”
“God dammit,” I groan, closing my eyes and sighing. “Jay, buddy, he don’t understand what Daddy kink is. I told you how we grew up. About us not having television or books or nothin’. He don’t know about none of this. You’re going to traumatize him.”
“Fuck,” Pete repeats, his thumb brushing even faster against Jaden’s thigh.
Ezra looks up at me and smiles. “That was a big word. I’m proud of you, baby.
” Any other time, I would think he’s making fun of me, because that’s his M.O.
He isn’t staring at me like I’m stupid this time, though, so I think he actually means it.
He’s also doing everything he can to avoid looking at Pete’s penis.
Any other time, he’d be eyeing it like a late night snack.
Is he doing that for me? Because I asked him to?
“Yeah?” I ask.
“Yeah.”
“So, about this gay thing,” Pete interrupts, his voice a little shaky.
His eyes are focused on Jaden, and Jaden’s staring right back at Pete.
Pete licks his lips. “Tell me more. This little guy told me that’s what you are now, and when I said I didn’t know what it meant, he offered to show me.
” Pete lifts his hand and holds Jay’s cheek.
“Thank you for showing me that. I don’t understand it, but I think I kind of liked it.
” My brother continues staring adoring into my god-nephew’s eyes. My very married brother.
Jaden beams at him. “I wish Dad and Johnny would’ve brought me with them when they came to visit your family, all those times. I could’ve helped you sort your issues ages ago. I could’ve led you into the light.”
“What issues?” I ask.
He nudges his head in Pete’s direction. “That you and your brother are obviously gay.”
My eyes bulge. “Pete ain’t gay. He’s married.”
“And you dated a woman for years. What’s your point, Richard Simmons?”
“I don’t know who that is,” I admit. “And neither does Pete. That’s the point. Jay, you can’t go around showing videos of yourself eating other men’s asses. It ain’t appropriate, buddy. Especially folks from Dunsberry. We ain’t worldly people like you. We ain’t well-traveled or college educated.”
“You still have functioning eyes. You still have dicks that like to be licked. The only thing different is that it’s another guy doing the licking instead of a woman you’re not sexually into.”
“Don’t be so fuckin’ mean to him,” Pete growls.
“I don’t care that he showed it to me, so you shouldn’t, neither.
Mind your fuckin’ business before I whoop your fuckin’ ass.
” He holds Jaden close as he leans back on the sofa, his throbbing cock fully visible.
“I don’t really understand it, though. You’re both men, Jaden.
Why were you doing that to a guy and not a woman? ”
“Because I’m gay. I like other men. I don’t like women.”
I move toward the sofa and plop down between my brother and Ezra. There’s a throw blanket hanging on the back of the sofa, and I’ve seen enough of my God-nephew’s dick, so I carelessly fling it at them.
“I’m not warm,” Jay says, tossing the blanket on the floor, beside Pete’s foot. I grab it and cover them myself this time.
“I don’t give a damn if you’re being baked alive.
There’s a lady upstairs. Cover up.” My tone startles him, because I rarely, if ever, lose my temper with him.
“You were raised to know better. I ought to know, considering I helped raise you. I know we’ve gotten a little lax on social graces, since it’s just us boys, but come on. Have you lost your damn mind?”
“Uncle Johnny, I—”
Before Jaden can finish, Pete roars like a lion and shoves me with his foot, sending me flying past the coffee table, soaring across the room, and falling on my back.
I lie here, trying to understand what the fuck just happened, staring at the ceiling.
Ezra rushes to my side in a heartbeat, touching my face like he’s trying to examine me or some shit.
He places a finger on the side of my neck and keeps it there.
“He’s gone,” Ezra cries out. “You killed him, you monster.”
“He ain’t dead, he’s playing possum. He always does that when he gets his ass whooped.”
“Nuh-uh,” Ezra shrieks. “He’s fucking dead!”
“Uncle Johnny?” Jaden whimpers.
“I ain’t dead, Ez,” I groan.
Ez scowls at me. “Okay, maybe not fully dead, but you’re on death’s doorstep.” Stupidly he holds his hands over my eyes and cries out, “Don’t go into the light. Don’t even look in its direction.”
I cock an eyebrow. “Are you done?”
He spreads his fingers, and nothing but pure mischief is swirling in the corners of his eyes. “Not even close.” When he winks at me, any trace of annoyance escapes me, because he’s just so fuckin’ precious. I still don’t know why Pete shoved me, but I ain’t dead, so it don’t really matter.
I snort a laugh. “Alright. Go on. Have your moment.”
He smiles even wider, then kisses me on the lips. “You are so getting your ass eaten later.” Another kiss, and he whips his head toward Pete again. “I want you to know something, Pete Burns—”
“Who the fuck is Pete Burns?”
“You, you bastard.”
“My name is Pete Boyd.”
“You could be called Pete Go-fuck-yourself, twice removed, and I still wouldn’t give a shit. You just killed my boyfriend, asshole.”
“Boyfriend?” Momma says as she enters the room. “What about a boyfriend?”
Ezra’s eyes lock on mine, and he mouths, “It’s okay.”
He’s giving me an out I never asked for. Am I scared of telling my truth? Yeah, but I ain’t a coward. I ain’t going to deny what either of them mean to me, because denying them means denying myself, and I’ve done enough of that to last a lifetime.
I take Little Dick’s hand and squeeze it real tight. “Ezra and me—we’re together.” I look down at Ez. “Baby, this is my momma, Ladonna.”
Momma nods. “I can see that. We’re all together. But what’s this about boyfriends?” She smiles at Ezra, crinkling her nose in a friendly manner, giving him a quick wave.
“No, I just mean, we’re …” I try to think of a way to say it that I know she’ll understand.
Momma looks at Ez, then back at me. Her lips part, but she doesn’t say anything, just stands there looking like a video put on pause. Does she know? How could she? I didn’t. Nobody else in Dunsberry could.
“You’re gay, and that’s okay,” Jaden tells my brother. “Come out, come out, Daddy.”
“We’re not doing that,” I warn. “Not with Pete.”
“Doing what?” he asks, smirking like butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth. “I haven’t the foggiest what you’re talking about.”
“He’s my brother, Jay,” I warn.
Jaden shrugs. “You’re already my uncle. This will just make it official.”
“Wouldn’t that make him your brother-in-law?” Ez asks.
