Chapter 28
Chapter Twenty-Eight
C oop stretched, feeling joints and muscles and tendons all move together.
It was a damn satisfying feeling to do that and not have a bit of pain in his belly.
The doc had given him a clean bill of health for his innards several weeks ago, Benji was home on a two-week break, and now he and Brooks had driven up to Glenwood Springs for their just them, no kids, summer holiday trip, and it was a damn fine thing.
The Hot Springs Lodge made him kind of giddy. He was going to soak his bones and eat his weight in the included breakfast every damn day.
Brooks stepped up behind him, arms wrapping tight around him. “Oh, this is nice, huh?”
“Which part? The mountains? The room? The pool? The fact that we’re alone?” He leaned hard, loving the heat of his man, solid and steady.
“Yes.” Brooks laughed and bit the back of his neck, which made all sorts of stuff tingle. And those hands? They were on his belly, loving on him, not all careful as they had been for what seemed like forever .
“Don’t stop, huh?”
“Oh, I’m going to take my time. I’m not stopping, not until you say so. I wanna…” Brooks groaned for him, the sound deep and low. “Oh, babe, I want to make you the happiest you’ve ever been.”
“Too late.” Coop was fully aware how blessed he was. “That part’s already done. Now I want you to make me fly.”
He knew it all worked. He’d caught himself a lot rubbing up against Brooks in the middle of the night, snuggling in close, hard as nails.
But they’d sort of been waiting. They’d decided, since their lives were so much about their family—about kids and events, horses and llamas and chickens and tomatoes and budgets—that they were trying to make this time special. Something they were both anticipating.
There were only so many second chances a man got. And this was his.
Hell, He might be on his fifth or sixth chance. But that was all right.
Brooks was living his best life too.
“Oh, don’t you worry, babe. I want to make love to you.
We have nothing else to do all day. No plans till tomorrow.
We’ll order something for dinner—pizza or steaks or tacos.
Hell, I don’t even care. We can eat Cheetos.
I just want to be naked with you.” While he was talking, Brooks was unbuttoning buttons and unsnapping snaps and baring him.
They were on the third floor, and Coop didn’t think anybody could see him—and if they did, shame on them for peeking in windows.
It was sure pretty looking out over the mountains. The summer sun liked to turn them gold, make them both shine.
He turned to face Brooks, and he couldn’t fight his smile for love or money. “I ache for you.”
“Good. Know why? It’s just us. No kids. No parents. No Kase to call and ask if the kids can go somewhere. Just you and me and the bed.” Brooks got him down to his nothings, then kissed him like there was no tomorrow.
He let himself melt into it, his hands filled with the fine body that had come to rest atop him, making promises he needed Brooks to keep.
Brooks was so hard a cat couldn’t scratch him, and his own prick was letting him know he was willing and able, heated drops forming at the slit.
Hell, it was a beautiful thing when they spread out on the bed, the sun shining through the window.
It felt decadent as anything, and when Brooks touched his dick, he had to clench his ass and curl his toes to keep it from ending too soon.
“I’m on a hair trigger.”
Brooks nodded. “I hear you. I haven’t jacked off in a week. Wanted to be with you.” His lover’s cheeks went bright red. “I know that’s prob’ly dumb as fuck, but it’s so true.”
“I hear you. I’ve been thinking heavy-duty thoughts about you too.”
“I love how freaking strong you are, Coop.” Brooks stroked his abs, which had taken a beating, but he was getting them back into shape. Brooks lingered over his scars, his admiration plain. He’d pretty much gotten over the guilt, Coop thought, with lots of urging from him.
“Show me how much. I want to feel like the sexiest bastard alive.”
“I can do that.” Brooks leaned over and grabbed the lube. “Can I make love to you, cowboy?”
“I thought you’d never ask.”
“Well, I’m right here.”
“Come on then.” He wrapped around Brooks, and he knew they were ready to go. Brooks was damn prepared. There was even a clean-up towel on the nightstand.
“How do you want to do this, cowboy?” he asked. He was hard, aching, and ready for Brooks to give him what he’d asked for.
“Hmmm. I think this time it will be easiest with you on your back facing me, baby.” Brooks stroked his belly. “I know you’re all clear, but no sense making things strain.”
He laughed, raising his knees. “Well, lube me up then, huh?”
Brooks laughed, but nodded and grabbed the lube, popping the top. No waiting. They were both ready.
“You’re the finest son of a bitch on earth, you know that, right?” He eased his legs up and open, begging for that touch.
“So hot.” Brooks got his fingers coated, then set about opening him up. And he’d held and sucked that cock. Coop knew he would need to be open. “Jesus, sweetheart, you’re so tight. Gripping my fingers.”
He squeezed Brooks’s fingers, and they both moaned, Brooks’s lips dropping open.
“You like that, huh?”
“Of course I do. I immediately know how that will feel on my cock.” Brooks laughed, but the sound was breathless as hell. “Why aren’t we doing this daily?”
“You went to Australia. I got kicked by a horse. It was a whole thing. I’ll sum it up for you later, okay?”
“Oh, right.” Brooks slid his fingers free and pressed his cock to Coop’s hole. “Let’s do the interpretative dance part first.”
“Mmhmm. I’ll sing.” He bore down, his entire body tightening as that heavy cock breached him, stretched him.
“Oh, I want to hear that.” Brooks moved, a sharp jerk of his hips, his eyes wide. “Fuck, Coop. So damn good.”
“Uh-huh. So good.” He nodded and swallowed, his toes curling as he forced himself to stay still, to let Brooks drive.
“Damn.” Brooks pulled back, then pushed forward, and they were cooking with gas all of a sudden, their bodies moving faster with each thrust. They were driving full bore, and he knew soon it would explode on them, but they had a couple of days to do it all over again.
And again.
Brooks’s gaze on his body made him feel like he was a million feet tall, like he was magical and right. So Coop worked it, squeezing down with his muscle and petting Brooks wherever he could reach.
In return, Brooks kissed him all over, his lips burning and soft, his cock smoking hot and hard as hell.
“I love you, Coop. I want—I want this forever.”
He nodded. There was no bad there. He was all in. “Yes.”
“I mean it.” Brooks stared into him, into his damn soul, he thought. “I want you to marry me.”
“Can we do it after orgasms, please? We’ll go to the courthouse in an hour.”
Brooks hooted, which made that cock do crazy things inside him, and he grunted, his body bucking, his eyes going wide. “Oh, you liked that.”
He nodded, no more jokes leaving his lips. He was lit up, and he needed to know that they were going to do this.
Brooks grabbed his cock and tugged, giving him all the friction he needed, and his balls drew up tight.
“Brooks!” He surged forward, slamming their mouths together as he shot, his entire body convulsing.
“Mmmph!” Brooks lost it, sawing back and forth, filling him deep with raw heat, wet and perfect as that man gave him everything he had.
Coop’s belly gave out on him, and he slumped down on the bed, panting hard.
“Mmm.” Brooks spilled off to one side, not flopping on him, which he appreciated, since he was whooping for air.
“Must be gettin’ old,” he murmured.
“Nah. We just need to do this more to work you out.” Brooks stroked his belly, so gentle, so careful. “You’re not hurting anywhere, right?”
“No, honey. I’m solid. Just a good workout.”
“Okay, cool. I just don’t want to have to take you to the hospital on our vacay.” Brooks wiped them down with the towel, then moved in close. “I meant it, you know. I want to marry you. I have a ring for you.”
“I meant it too. Yes. Now is good. Or when we get home. I’m easy.” He would hook his cart to Brooks’s any time.
“When we get home. So the kids can come.” Brooks waggled his eyebrows. “Though if you want to go twice, we get two wedding nights.”
“If we’re really careful, we can honeymoon with the little beasts, all the way to see Benji.” The new RV was being delivered next week.
“I like that, honey. Though we might have to go to a hotel in Santa Fe that first night and have your folks bring the RV and the kids the next day.” Brooks winked for him.
“Oh, that’s the way to do it. That way you’re not in trouble with your mother-in-law. Smart man.” Coop was impressed.
“She said she wanted to come on the trip, right? We’ll see Benji, do Disney…”
“Yep. Then we go home, get everyone ready for another go-round.” It was the way of things.
“That’s it.” Brooks tugged the covers over them, because that air conditioner was cool now. “But until then…”
“We got each other and breakfast included.”
“You can’t beat that, darl’,” Brooks said in his best fake Aussie. Which really just about summed it up.
