B .T. Construction was finally hers, Brooke thought as she glanced from Dylan to Quinn to find them still glaring at each other from across the table, which was understandable considering what she heard the other night.
She’d admit that she’d been worried when the app stopped working a few nights ago, but now, thanks to the divorce clause, she-
“You broke my ass!”
-couldn’t help but frown at Dylan’s outburst.
“You knew better than to wiggle when you’re being kidnapped, you little pain in the ass!”
“I was trying to get comfortable!” Dylan snapped back, making her frown, that is, until she watched her father and Marc walk into the room with Jenn trailing behind them, looking like she was going to be sick.
That’s when she began to panic.
“What’s going on?” Brooke asked, glancing at Jenn only to feel her stomach drop when she shook her head as she looked away, refusing to meet her gaze.
“Your friend just told us an interesting story,” Marc said as she forced herself not to look at Jenn.
“She’s lying,” Brooke said hollowly only to swallow hard when a thick folder was tossed in front of her.
“Which part? The part where you stole your sister’s designs or the part where you blackmailed her into doing it?
Or how about when you purposely set out to destroy her life and illegally tapped into their phones all so that you could get your hands on B.T.
Construction?” Marc demanded, looking furious, but he had nothing on her father as he glared down at her and-
“You’re fired.”
