Chapter 12
Dalahan
Charlie.
When the shit hit the fan I was carried out by Dalahan in his arms like a damsel, and I was not impressed.
I tried to push myself free of his pale green chest to get back to Hannah and Billie, but he was too strong for me.
As the hall emptied out all the guests into the corridor, I even tried to pull myself over his shoulder to tumble down his back.
He held pinned my waist to his shoulder and carted me my a sack of potatoes.
“Put me down! My friends are back there!”
“They will be fine.” He chuckled at me, not concerned, and that pissed me off even more. “The Ambassador and your Human leader are with them. They will be fine. Better than fine, since one of them seems to belong to the Prince now. A luxurious pairing.”
“Billie doesn’t belong to anyone!” I don’t like how this guy seems to think we’re property.
I also don’t like that he’s still carting me around on his shoulder.
The heat on my back is the first sign that we’re outside the palace.
We’re moving at such a speed that I see his long emerald green tail winding in a blur against the yellow stones beneath us.
I push my hands onto his firm and scaly back to see I’m not the only human being carried by an Ucfeni.
Over the shoulder or in the arms, but all just as helpless as I am.
Being a man doesn’t make a difference, it seems. Nor do my struggles.
“Look, can you just stop for a minute? I get that you want to be my sponsor, but I think you have the wrong impression of me.”
“Oh?” Dalahan chuckled and thankfully slowed to a stop.
I took hold of his shoulders and pushed myself upright.
He supported my waist and legs with both his arms and I wasn’t best pleased with how my face and his were suddenly level.
Held flush to his chest meant there was very little breathing space between my mouth and his.
A mouth that held fangs ready to extend and strike.
“What impression would that be?” His bright green eyes were filled with mischief.
“Whatever impression your friend Rerasha gave you of me.” I grimace.
I knew that taunt would come back to bite me in the ass, but I expected Alaric to mess with my assignment or something.
I didn’t expect the Ambassador to be the one to screw with me.
Dalahan introduced himself to me as someone his friend said would ‘like to get to know him’.
I have to assume that was because I told the Ambassador he was more my type and I liked big guys.
I have to say, Dalahan was a big guy and he seemed to ooze with confidence.
“Are you a medical doctor?” He starts moving again but at a leisurely pace.
“Yes.”
“And you need an Ucfeni sponsor as you’ve been assigned to a clinic in Orna?”
“Yes but-”
“Then I’m the perfect sponsor for you. I own many buildings, including 6 medical clinics.
” He smirked, amused with the way I narrowed my blue eyes at him.
He leaned his weight on his tail to the left and my stomach flipped as we started to go over the edge of the main bridge.
“Hold on, this is our stop.” I instinctively clung to his neck and bit my tongue so I didn’t start screaming.
He swung us upsidedown and I felt gravity try to pull me out of his arms to plummet to my death.
Dalahan held me firmly and arched his back to slither into a large round thick basket.
He coiled up and I found myself sat on his hips and my hands on his chest, with his emerald tail bundled around us.
I looked around anxiously as he used his tail tip to close the door of the basked with a hook and latch.
The basket was made of something that reminded me of bamboo, but it was yellow and way thicker. Smoother too.
I realised too late that Dalahan was watching me with interest. It occurred to me then what position we were in, and how I couldn’t move as his tail pinned my legs in this straddling position.
I took my hands off his pale green pecks and folded my arms. I gave him my best sour look and he chuckled up at me.
“Why are we in a basket?”
“This is a transport pod.” He hissed a chuckle.
“When you’re ready to head to our burrow, pull the cord above your head.
We will descend to midlevel Orna, and go directly to my nest.” A dark pink forked tongue swiped hungrily at his bottom lip and I knew that look.
Usually, I’m the one giving my prey that look.
The one where I’m already planning in my head where and when I’m going to get into their pants.
I pointed down at his face and tried to look as stern as I could, whilst sat on snake boy’s groin.
At least he wore a skirt so that was another barrier to the bulge I could feel below my ass. Damn, he felt like a big boy after all.
“I did not come to a new galaxy to become an alien’s fucktoy.” He opened his mouth wide, too wide, and cackled with mirth. “I mean it. I am a medical professional and I will be treated with respect.”
“Of course.” His hands came to rest on my thighs and I glared down at him.
“Like you, I am a professional. I develop and own buildings and invest heavily in medical facilities and outreach programs. I am wealthy and influential. A regular guest at the palace and a great connection for you to make in Orna.” I raise a blonde brow curiously.
On paper he would make a good sponsor. But the bulge under my ass makes me think twice about letting my guard down around Dalahan.
“Like you I enjoy male company, and I would like to enjoy yours. It isn’t in my nature not to pursue what I want, but I won’t take anything from you you aren’t willing to give me. ”
“Good to know.” I’ve dealt with his kind before, back on Earth.
Casanova types who think they are so charming they can effortlessly tempt you into their bed.
If he’s going to be a gentleman though, I can handle him.
Dalahan is a big snake alien. I don’t know what their moral centre is.
I’m not trusting a guy who seems to be enjoying having me sat on his lap way more than he should.
“I don’t fuck strangers.” Well…I kind of do, but he doesn’t need to know that.
“Then I look forward to getting to know you.” Oh he’s arrogant. Whatever Raresha told him, he thinks he’s my type.
“Do I really have to sit here like this?” I huff and take hold of his wrists. “Do you need to hold my thighs?”
“Yes, unless you have no intention of pulling the cord?” Dalahan nods up to the cord above my head. It reminds me of an old-fashioned bathroom light with a yellow bead on the end to make it easier to take hold of. I sigh and indulge him, yanking on it haphazardly.
We hurtle down like this was a damn rollercoaster and I can’t excuse the scream that tears out of me as we career down a long thick cable.
All I can see outside the basket is mist. Dalahan is hissing, his mouth wide open with laughter.
At the speed we are falling I feel my body start to lift up and his hands on my thighs pull me back down to his lap.
His thick green tail slides up my legs to coil around my waist to hold me tighter.
The end of his tail presses between my shoulder blades and he tips me down to press my head into the crook of his neck.
I’m too afraid to tell him to get his hands and tail off me.
The only thing I’m anchored to right now is his long body.
We start to slow our descent and my heart feels like it’s moving back from my mouth to my chest. I cling to him with my arms and legs and wait for the basket to come to a stop. I waited a few minutes after that before I felt safe enough to lift my head up from his neck.
Dalahan tips his head and presses his scaly lips to my mouth.
I’m still reeling from the fall and don’t resist the kiss.
He rumbles in his chest and presses my chin down with one of his thumbs.
His forked tongue slithers into my mouth and I taste herbal tea.
The kiss is warm and reassuring as my pulse settles back to normal.
His tail begins to undulate around me and my brain catches up with what’s happening here.
I arch my neck to lift my mouth free and he licks his lips hungrily. “Mmm. Very nice.”
“I hope you enjoyed that, because it was the one and only time you’re catching me off guard.” I insist.
“Oh, I doubt that.” I wriggled to try and get free only to rub my semi against his bulge. “I doubt that very much.”
“Don’t read into subconscious reactions.
Just get me off already.” He blinked at me and hummed with arousal.
My mind caught up with my ears at the same moment that Dalahan tried to lower his hand from my chin to act on my blunder.
Oh how embarrassing. “Get off me. I meant to say ‘just get off me already’.”
“Sure you did.” It’s the century of cryosleep that’s lowered my usual sky-high defences.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. He chuckles and I hear the basket door open.
We’re on the ground at last, so I scramble out as quickly as I can.
I’m hoping no one notices me adjusting my shirt to hide my thickening cock.
Under normal circumstances when I got restless like this I’d go to a bar and gravitate towards the guy who didn’t expect to be picked up.
Cute, but self-conscious or with low self-esteem.
Or maybe hot, but badly hurting from catching their boyfriend cheating on them.
It was my type. This Prince charming was always looking for a forlorn damsel with a dick to rescue.
Even when I thought I found a confident normal guy, he’d end up having some baggage for me to help him with.
Dalahan was none of those things. Other than he had a dick. I was sure of that from the bulge I was mounted on the whole day down from the bridge. Oh man he was a good kisser. Now I’m horny. Great. I can’t imagine there are many human bars around here for me to go looking for someone to bone.
I nearly jumped out of my skin when he slithered up next to me and put his hand on my back between my shoulder blades. “My burrow isn’t far from here. Let’s get you settled into your new nest.”
“Yay.” I grumbled. I wouldn’t have chosen to go with this frisky snake had the pairing party not gone arse upward. But here I am, so I’ll make the most of it. My ‘nest’ better have a door that locks, or I’m going to start sleeping with a baseball bat.
