Chapter Seventeen #4
That made the one guy get up when she held her fingers about two inches apart and pointed at him.
Then, his crotch.
There was no doubt she was emasculating the size of his dick.
At her insult, his chair fell backward, and still, no one who knew Elizabeth got up. The place went silent, and the show got ready to start.
While in a skirt and sweater, she might seem harmless, she was anything but—especially to two drunks who just insulted her son.
Finn saw the intent.
“Uh, he’s going to hit her! I have to…”
But he didn’t get a chance.
The dumbass swung, and she ducked under his arm. With her elbow, she brought it down so hard on his kidney that he went to the ground, and directly into the fetal position.
That was enough for the other dude to come at her, and for all the patrons to gasp.
They all watched him try to bash her skull in with a beer bottle.
And fail.
She grabbed his wrist, twisted, and brought him to his knees. Then, she hit him in the neck, and he went out cold. It was just in time for the other guy to get on his feet, and for her to punch him in the balls after he tried to hit her again.
Once more, he landed on the floor like a fish out of water.
“And if I ever hear you motherfuckers, or anyone else running your goddamn mouths about my son again, I’m going to find you and take your dick off to shove it down your throats.”
Finn just stared at her.
“What the hell?”
When she stepped on them to walk over them, the cop just shook his head.
“They didn’t even land a punch.”
No one who knew Elizabeth thought they would. She worked with Marines all over her. She went to the gym with MRR Ivan and Archangels.
They hadn’t stood a chance.
Immediately, Michael began clapping as she headed back to the table. When she got there, she curtseyed. Oh, and addressed the whole bar.
“I swear to God, and everything that is holy, if one more person says shit about my son, they’re going to have to deal with me. I get mean. That was nothing. I’ll hide your bodies after the carnage, and then slap the stupid out of your loved ones when they try to find you!”
And that said it all.
Ethan pulled out his wallet and took out cash. He handed it to the waitress.
“I know nothing got damaged, but this is for their beers. I don’t think they’ll be staying.”
She took the money, and the owner laughed.
“A round on the lass! She is buying!” he said, proving there was no insult with her taking care of the trash.
Well, if that’s what it took here.
“Open the tab,” she stated. “We’re paying the whole bill. Enjoy,” she stated, taking a seat.
As she did, two men dragged the other two guys out, getting them out of there. They really wanted that open tab, apparently.
Michael kissed her.
“And that’s why we love you.”
Graham reached for her hand.
“I love you, Mom. Thank you.”
She meant what she said.
“You call me if this shit continues. No one is talking about my son like that. I don’t care what you did in your past. People make mistakes, and we do things to feel. You’re mine, and I protect what is mine. That’s the bottom line in my world, and you, Graham, are a fucking Blackhawk!”
And the protective Raven was back.
Clearly.
Finn just shook his head.
“I don’t know what to say about that except, do you want to press charges?”
She laughed.
“Nah, I’m just glad nothing got broken. The last bar fight sucked. That was a lot of repairs and was expensive. We tend to wreck a place in a barroom brawl.”
That they did.
Ethan laughed.
“And we nearly got our asses kicked. Then again, it was twenty to three.”
That it was.
Finn stared at them.
“You do this a lot?”
She snorted.
“Not a lot. Just more than a normal family. I can’t take Callen and Ethan anywhere. You know how the Natives are.”
Blackhawk laughed.
“WE’RE the issue? US? I’m pretty sure I didn’t have to move from my chair.”
She shrugged.
“If there was six of them, would you have gotten up?” she asked.
He took a minute.
“Were they sober or drunk? Because six is your happy place,” he joked. “Seven, and I would have jumped in. That might be one too many for you.”
Gabby laughed at the look on her husband’s face. It was clear he’d not seen the likes of Elizabeth before. Oh, if he only knew this was her norm.
Don’t mess with her family.
She got mean.
“You let her have a bar fight,” he said. “I don’t know how to process this?”
Michael laughed.
“LET? Oh, Finn…you don’t LET her do anything. She does bad all by herself. We just control the chaos,” he stated.
Elizabeth shrugged.
“It felt good. Who am I kidding? I like to make men cry. It’s fun.”
Ethan kissed her on the cheek and dropped his arm over her shoulders.
“That’s my girl,” he said.
Yes, yes, she was.
“Thanks for trusting me,” she said, nuzzling him.
How could he not?
Ethan Blackhawk knew the error of his ways, and now he remembered exactly why he fell in love with Elizabeth.
It was her bad-ass heart.
With their full glasses, he proposed another toast.
“To Elizabeth! May her right hook stay as strong as whiskey, and may the rest of us stay on her good side—or at least out of her reach!”
She laughed outrageously.
“Here! Here!” Michael, Finn, and Gabby said, as they all kicked back their drinks.
Graham just smiled at her.
And he knew that he’d gotten more than lucky marrying Michael.
He’d found a mom who would NEVER let him down.
Ever.
