Charlie Intermission VII

Charlie was worried. It hadn’t gone unnoticed that the Prince of Hell was acting stranger than normal. He seemed fidgety, he was clingy, touchy-feely, and on edge. Ever since he’d returned from that catastrophe on Earth—and since Lucius had walked into his office—Lucky hadn’t quite been the same.

The priest pulled the lid off the box with the current month’s files inside and started pulling them out to organize them by date.

The box was heavy with the natural disaster from a few days prior.

He rolled his eyes when he saw that Lucky hadn’t even taken the time to organize this box, and he wondered how the prince would survive without him once he went to Heaven if he couldn’t even take a few seconds to manage his current files.

He flipped through them one by one, whistling a hymn as he started setting the files down from newest to oldest. His hand stopped when he saw a name appear at the top of an unassuming, near-empty piece of paper.

“What… the fuck?”
