Chapter 35 #2
Philip’s tongue slowed, and he carefully withdrew his fingers, somehow attuned to the surge of her bliss. In gentler strokes, her bud thrumming, he continued to pleasure her, adding little flurries of ecstasy to the fearsome wave that roared in her veins.
As the potent sensation began to ebb and Selina relaxed back onto the coverlets, panting and dizzy, seeing the wondrous flare of stars as she opened her eyes again, Philip tasted her one last time.
Then, turning his head, he kissed his way up her thigh and over her hip, her stomach, her breasts, retracing the path to her mouth.
“I love you,” she moaned as she pulled him close, smiling against his mouth as he kissed her slowly.
“I love you,” he replied softly, before kissing her harder.
They stayed like that for a while, reveling in the intensity of their kiss, his bare body warming hers. She relished the feel of his skin against hers, as if her senses, too, had been heightened. His hair felt softer, his stubble rougher, his skin silkier, his muscles harder.
“We can wait,” he said, pulling back for a moment. “We don’t have to rush.”
She gazed up into his eyes and shook her head. “I don’t want to wait. If I have learned anything from… recent events, it is that I should not delay when it comes to the things I want.”
“You are sure?”
She nodded. “I am sure.”
Her heart was warmed by his concern for her honor and her readiness, proving once again that he was a good man. And not just a good man, but the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with.
I cannot wait for forever.
She smiled up at him, and as he dipped his head to kiss her, she knew that there was nothing to fear. It was not the years of reading that had prepared her, but the safety of him and the promises he had made to her.
“This may hurt at first,” he told her, his hips shifting between her thighs, bringing the heat of his manhood closer to her entrance. “If it is too much, tell me to stop.”
She swallowed and nodded, though she was determined that she would not stop, no matter what.
Reaching down between them, he took himself in hand and guided that hot flesh to the point of no return. The pressure against her entrance made her heart skip a beat and her breath catch, holding an inhale in her lungs as she waited to feel him inside her for the very first time.
“Breathe,” he told her with a smile.
He teased her a little, letting his manhood glide between her slick folds, sending her bundle of nerves into a renewed frenzy. When he was coated in her, he stilled once more at her entrance.
“Breathe,” he repeated as he kissed her.
She exhaled shakily, and as she drew in another breath, he pushed into her.
A gasp escaped her lips, the rush of pleasure and the faint sting of pain catching her off guard.
“Do you want me to continue?” he said thickly, his eyes dark with desire.
She found the capacity to nod, and as she breathed again, he eased deeper inside her, inch by glorious inch. Her body adjusted as if it had known him for a lifetime, taking him in, the sting of pain dulled by the shiver of bliss that racked through her until she was no longer aware of it at all.
“Are you in pain?” he asked, his throat bobbing, his hips stilling as he buried himself to the hilt.
“No,” she rasped, biting her lip as a smile curved her mouth. “No… no pain.”
With a relieved sigh, he leaned down and kissed her slowly. She returned his kiss, soft and sensual and intense, ecstatic that they were joined at last, relishing the new sensations that rippled through her.
Slowly, he drew his hips back, to the point where she thought she might be parted from him again. Then, to her gasping relief, he sank back inside her once more.
“Oh, my love,” she moaned, raking her fingernails across his shoulder blades and turning her head to kiss the inside of his forearm.
“You feel so good,” he growled as he rocked forward, conjuring a delicious friction against her swollen bud.
The next time he drew back, she was ready, her hips rising to meet him when he eased forward again. The movement drew a rasp from his throat that thrilled her, stoking the fires of her euphoria, the sound of his pleasure feeding the inferno of her own.
As she grew in confidence, they moved together in the hazy sunlight that glanced in through a gap in the drawn curtains, as if the heavens themselves were blessing their union.
She met his measured thrusts with the tilt of her hips, her hands running up his arms and lightly clawing at his back to draw a growl from his throat. She kissed him fervently and relished the crush of his mouth in return, their bodies entwined, entirely attuned to one another, moving as one.
None of her books would ever come close to this. She still hadn’t read the one that the Matchmakers’ Book Club had sent with the letter that had started all of this, but she knew there was no way it could ever compare to reality.
To think I might have missed this if I had left you.
Her heart ached at the thought of ever being parted from him, prompting her to hold him tighter, kiss him harder, urge him on.
With each rock of his hips, he rubbed against her sensitive bud, adding layers to the growing ecstasy within her. Realizing how good it felt, she moved with him, grinding against him each time he plunged into her, chasing the rush of her inevitable climax.
“Oh… oh, my love… Yes… Oh, yes… yes!” she cried out as it came, the friction of his body catching her bundle of nerves in just the right way, tipping her over the edge into absolute bliss.
Her whole body seized, her fingernails digging into his back, her neck arching, her eyes scrunched shut, her breath hitching in her throat, her lungs straining for air they couldn’t get.
Her stomach tightened, and her legs began to shake as pure ecstasy surged through her, transporting her to a completely new realm of pleasure.
Her first orgasm had been nothing compared to this, her mind spinning, her entire being—mind, body, soul—feeling like it was soaring. The power of it rocked her, her hips bucking, her voice straining as she called out his name.
It was all she could do to hold onto him as that all-consuming sensation pulsed and powered through her, rushing and rippling, tingling and thrumming, making her feel as if she had reached a secret paradise.
This is my future. This is my life.
She had never felt luckier, and as his lips traced a line of kisses down her neck, she thought of them as promises for the blissful marriage to come.
As skillful as Philip was, he couldn’t make the feeling last longer than it was destined to. Soon enough, the sensation started to fade, and Selina’s body released that wondrous tension, relaxing her until she could have melted right into the bed.
“I love you,” she murmured, smiling.
“As I love you,” Philip whispered.
But as he drew back, it felt as if he meant to withdraw entirely.
“What are you doing?” she said, lifting her hips to hold him inside her.
He smiled. “This is about your pleasure, my love.”
“Ours,” she corrected. “I want you to feel it, too.”
He hesitated and gazed deeply into her eyes for a moment. She could almost see the cogs turning in his head, though she did not quite understand why.
Then, with a warm and intoxicating smile, he pressed himself back inside her to the hilt. His hips quickened, each thrust reigniting the embers of her pleasure, sending explosions of tiny sparks into her still-shaking limbs and stomach.
“Take your pleasure,” she moaned, meeting his thrusts with delirious abandon, her hands on his muscular backside driving him deeper inside her.
Spurred on by her words, he lifted her legs and, kneeling upright, rested them on his shoulders.
Bent over her, he sank even deeper with each powerful stroke, his hips moving fast and fierce, stoking her pleasure afresh.
Then, with a growl in the back of his throat, moaning the words, “God, yes,” she felt him pulse within her.
She tightened instinctively, and as he thrust twice more, she relished the sensation of his pleasure. That throb deep in her core. But what she relished far more was the look of bliss on his face, his eyes shining, his teeth grazing his lower lip as he held her gaze.
