Chapter Twenty-Seven

It’s Halloween.

Anything can happen on a night like tonight. It’s a full moon, and I’m caught in the Devil’s Den. I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is where I want to be.

I smile at my reflection in the mirror.

I’m not the same woman I was a month ago. She was shy and meek. She thought she deserved what her asshole ex had done to her. She figured she would never find a man to love her.

Look at me now. Dressed in a skimpy Dorothy costume I would have never dared to buy, let alone wear. I have hickeys all over my neck and chest from the men that I’ve come to call mine. I’m about to walk out there in a club full of bikers and let the night lead me wherever it wants me to go.

I paint on the red lipstick that the men love so much before I look down at my matching red shoes.

Yeah, tonight is going to be great.

Turning away from the mirror in the room I have yet to sleep in yet they call it mine, I walk toward the door.

When I open it, I’m not prepared for what I find.

In the middle of the room are three men dressed similarly. They each are wearing jeans, a black T-shirt, and their Devil’s Den cut. The only tie to my costume is the masks on their faces. I knew they were getting them, but they didn’t tell me who was going to be who.

If I didn’t know these men, I wouldn’t be able to tell them apart.

I do know these men, though. Very well.

Stepping up to the Tin Man, I push up and kiss his lips.

“I’ll give you my heart, Levi,” I whisper against his lips.

He smiles at me but doesn’t say a word. Moving to the Scarecrow next, I smirk.

“How fitting that you are without a brain, Hudson,” I tell him before kissing him.

“Every time you walk in a room, I lose my brain, darlin’,” he tells me, his hand squeezing my hip, letting me go.

Then I’m at Walker.

“You aren’t cowardly at all, so I have no idea how you became the lion,” I tell him as I get on my tiptoes to kiss him.

He leans down, meeting me for the kiss before telling me, “Less of a coward, but I am big and burly.”

I laugh. He’s got me there.

“Are you ready for this party?” Levi asks as I step back from them.

“Of course. Let’s follow the yellow brick road and see what kind of trouble Oz has going for us tonight,” I say as I start skipping toward the door.

“You really love all of this, don’t you?” Hudson asks as we make it to the front door.

“Halloween is my favorite time of the year. You get to be whoever you want to be, if only for a night. I feel like inhibitions are lower on a night like tonight. Besides, I love all the creepy and gory stuff,” I tell them.

“Fuck, I love you,” Hudson mutters.

I glance back at him, but he’s locking the door. I wonder if he meant to say it. So far only Walker has told me he loves me. I think the others feel it, but I don’t know the protocol here. Do I say it first or wait for them?

Pushing the thought away, I go back to skipping down the hall, my men following me. When we step out into the backyard, I’m surprised by how it’s been transformed. I’ve been locked in our suite all day with strict instructions not to peek. Now I see why.

They turned the whole compound into a Halloween horror show.

“This is so exciting.” I squeak.

To my right is a chainsaw-wielding man scaring anyone who gets too close. To the left, clowns are running around with axes. I laugh when I see someone dressed up as Ghostface straight ahead of me.

“Who are all these people?” I ask.

Walker wraps an arm around my shoulder as we walk through the crowd, but it’s Hudson who answers me.

“Most of them are our people. We did invite some of our friends from other crews to join in. We have someone at the gate checking names and such.”

“Wow. This is amazing,” I say. “Thank you.”

“No need to thank us, Angel,” Levi says. “This is nothing compared to what we would do to keep you happy.”

I smile at him, before turning back and seeing a man carrying a large snake over his shoulder. “No way.”

I pull Walker with me, but he jerks me to a stop before we can get too close.

“Can I touch it?” I ask the man.

He laughs. “Sure thing. Although, you better make sure my girl is good with you touching my snake.”

He glances at the pretty blond next to him. She rolls her eyes.

“He’s been using that line all night. Feel free to touch it.” Then she looks at my men, a friendly smile filling her face. “Levi, Walker, Hudson. Thank you for the invite.”

I look back and see they have lifted her masks.

“Good to see you too, Hannah. Is Blaze treating you right? I can always whip him into shape for you,” Hudson jokes.

I feel a little jealous at this. I don’t like that she knows my men. Was she once in my position?

Walker pulls me closer. “If you want to touch the snake, do it now because it’s giving me the creeps.”

I force a smile at him as I step out of his arms. I approach the snake and the man stroking the snake.

“Such a good snake. I’m going to have one just like you,” I tell him.

“The fuck you are,” Walker mutters.

I glance over at him and glare. “Anything to make me happy.”

“She’s got you there, my guy,” Hudson says, slinging his arm around me as he pets the snake too.

“I’m Hannah.” The woman offers me her hand.

“Esme.” I shake her hand.

“These guys saved my ass once. If you ever need anything, you let us know. I’m glad they found their forever girl.” Then she whispers so only I can hear, “I can tell they really love you.”

That eases any jealousy threatening to escape.

If she can see it, it must be true, right?

“We need to go check on some things. Hudson, why don’t you take Esme to the dance floor? We will let you two get back to your night.”

“Sure thing. Esme, get my number from them. I think we should have lunch sometime.”

“Okay,” I tell her as Hudson leads me away from them and toward a big crowd of people gyrating next to speakers.

I smile when I see the band on stage. “You hired a band?”

“You said you always wanted to go to a real Halloween fest, so here it is, darlin’. We brought it to you.”

I can’t believe these men. They would really do all of this just for me.

How did I get so lucky?

“Are you ready to dance the night away?” he asks me.

I nod.

In this moment, that’s all I want to do.

I’m so glad I pulled first shift with Esme.

We all agreed to take turns with her, and I know I’m pushing my luck, but she looks so carefree and happy.

At any moment, Levi is going to show up and ruin all the fun, but I can’t fault him for it.

Esme is something special. We are all drawn to her light like moths to a flame.

Levi and Walker don’t like dancing like I do, though, so I have that on them. It’s why I brought her here first.

I meant what I said. We set this whole thing up with her in mind. We don’t usually let strangers into our world, but the club voted and agreed that it would be a good idea to allow it. We need the public to view us as part of the community, not menaces.

The fact that it also makes our girl happy was a bonus to them. To us, it was the whole reason for it.

She will always be our reason for everything we do. She has no idea the power she holds.

We have been dancing for several songs now, but Esme doesn’t seem like she’s ready to stop.

I don’t want to make her either. I’ll take every single stolen moment with her that I can.

I don’t mind sharing her, but these moments when it’s just the two of us are different.

It’s like we are in our own little world where no one can touch us.

In these moments, she’s just mine.

I smile down at her as she gyrates her body against mine. My cock is so fucking hard in my pants. She is the most attractive woman I have ever met. No matter what she thinks, no one will ever compare to her.

She must sense something because she looks up at me, giving me a serious look.

“Hudson, I…” She trails off.

“You can say it.” I swallow hard. “Want me to say it first?”

I said it before, but I’m not sure she heard. Now I feel like I need to make her hear it. I need to hear it back.

I need her.

“I love you so fucking much, darlin’. I don’t know how we ever survived without you,” I yell into her ear.

I can feel the breath leave her. She seems relieved. Did she really think I might not love her?

“I love you. It’s only been a month, which seems crazy, but I do.”

A month? Fuck, I knew I loved her within that first week.

On that first date, really. Watching her with all of us I knew she was the one for us.

She had no idea that she had already been gravitating to all of us from the very first night.

She never showed preference to one of us over the other, even though we worried about it.

No, I think inside she knew she was meant to be ours, she just had to let her mind catch up.

She’s right about one thing, though. I can’t believe only a month has passed. It seems like she was always in our lives.

“Shh. Time doesn’t matter when you find the person you are meant to be with,” I tell her, leaning down to kiss her.

I don’t give her a gentle kiss and retreat. Instead, I kiss her deeply, sliding my hand down her back until it’s on her ass. I slide my leg between hers before pulling her against me. I can feel her hot heat against my leg through my jeans. I wonder if she’s even wearing panties.

The idea of her bare against my leg has me ready to drag her somewhere to ravish her.

The guys won’t be happy if I disappear with her, though. So I settle for the next best thing.

“Take what you need from me,” I whisper against her ear as I push my leg up into her.

She starts to grind against me. When she throws her head back, I lick and suck on her neck, loving when I pull back and see a red spot added to the other hickeys all over her neck.

It’s so juvenile, but fuck, I love seeing our marks all over her. Leaning down, I kiss the new mark as the music switches to something more sensual.

It’s perfect. No one will wonder why we are grinding so close. Only we will know what we are doing.

“You feel so good,” I whisper into her ear.

She groans, her head falling to my shoulder as I keep her moving.

“You’re close aren’t you? You want all these people to see you come?” I ask her.

She pulls her head back, her eyes glassy, but she doesn’t speak, though. She lets out a loud moan, and I swallow it with my lips before anyone can hear. I might be willing to give her an orgasm here, but no one gets to hear her mewls of pleasure but us.

“That’s it, darlin’,” I mutter against her lips. “Come for me.”

I press my lips against hers to quiet her moans as she does what I demand. She orgasms right there in a crowd of people, other bodies touching us from all sides, but the only one I feel is hers.

“Fuck, that was hot,” I growl into her mouth.

When I pull back, I realize we’ve been found. I see Levi heading my way in his Tin Man mask.

I about killed him when she said he could have her heart. I wanted it.

Little did I know she saved a piece for me.

“Looks like my time is over,” I tell her, knowing I need to high-tail it before Levi gets here. He’s going to see the blissed-out look on her face and know what we did. He is not going to be happy I did that here with all these people around.

“Tell Levi that I’ve already got one up on him, will ya?” I kiss her hand as I back away.

When I’m several feet away, I look back to find her eyes still on mine even with my brother at her back.

I nod to her before slipping into the crowd.

She loves me.

Life couldn’t get any better.
